Actually a good chef can solve the HAM problem with some good ol' Tatooine Sunburns

Last about 6 minutes, and raise Strength and Stamina to about 2000.

In that case, I'm a total lunatic, because I'm a Carbineer and a ... Master Musician. LoL. Well, I do have Novice Medic -- gotta do something to deal with the insane HAM costs.

So why did I choose this odd combo? I mean, I know of no one else in this entire game who is both a Master Musician, Master Entertainer, and 2-1-1-1 (eventually Master) Carbineer. I chose it because I like the idea of the heavy-duty machine-gunning assault-troop kick-butt kind of guy. It's a nice contrast with the other half of my character, who excels at things like piano, saxophone, dance, and hairdressing. ;-)

actually newjedi I'm in exactly the same spot. I'm slowly giving up my non entertaing support skills so that I can master carbine. lol.

Wow, it's good to know I'm not the only musical assault-weapons specialist out there! A whole bunch of us in this thread over here in the Carbineer forum.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty committed to keeping both Master Musician and Master Entertainer, so I just will have to make some hard choices on the combat/medic side. One option is I could stop just short of Master Carbineer, thereby keeping both Novice Medic and Warning Shot. But Master Carbineer actually does grant some pretty nifty speed and accuracy bonuses. So maybe I'll ditch Medic. No, wait, Warning Shot. No, wait...

Just the idea of shooting things real fast was enough to get me to sign up

as for fixes, those would be wondeful, if they ever happen

meanwhile I'm going back to dreaming about what I thought carbineer was

Go pester soem docs and you'll enjoy the class while waiting.

Hey you too? Well I'm almost a master weaponsmith and am about halfway to novice carbineer. Wanna form a support group? The carbineer/chef guy I just love that idea. First I shoot ya, then I'll cook ya.

I never took medic but I had quite a few artisan & scout skills that I'm giving up as I need the space. definitely some hard choices since I've been making money as a miner off and on add scout I just like for the ability to walk up hills at a decent pace. heh. I'm really commited to keeping MM & ME myself as well.

While I'm hardly Obi-Wan my suggestion is to give up the medic skills in your case and see how that goes. If it really doesn't work out you can train medic back pretty easily especially hanging out with entertainers. The combat XP on the on the other hand always seems a little slow to come by IMHO.

well, i was a pistoleer in beta, and i couldent bear to see the nerfs happen any longer... so i went to the pvp class... at the time all wepons had high ham costs, so if you wanted to kill someone using special moves a leg shot was good enough... but now it is a little less valuable, with pistols using almost no ham and such. now i am just used to the 2500 dmg crippiling shot, and i can give it up. for the ham i just get a buff... 5 to 10k isint all that expencive seeing as it is a good timer... when the buffs run out it is about time for me to start doing somethign else

And I am (or rather, was) an Army guy (/hooah) so I love the feeling of a good beefy carbine.
Hell I even run around the game in my version of BDUs... /blame brainwashing

I chose carbineer because:

I couldn't do enough damage as a pistoleerthat satisfied me in PvE.

Rifles have too much cost to mind, are too PvE oriented.

Carbines have the range and hit power of rifles, but I can still survive in PvP combat.

I did it because it compliments me well as a Master CM. And I'm hoping to get fixed some day.

Btw, the M-16 and AK-47 are rifles, not carbines .

Carbine = Rifle with shortened barrel and (in some cases) a collapseable stock

actually, the M16-A2 is classified as a carbine. Don't know about the AK47. Wow, how'd this thread turn into a competition to see who had chosen the most broken combination of classes? I'm tied for worstwith master marksman and working towards master carbineer and squad leader.

I kinda choose it at random, and decided to stick with it till the fix. My professions are carbineer 4-4-4-3, CH 3-2-1-4, and ranger 0-2-4-0. This combo rocks. While doing pubam missions on endor i send in my mauler and just spam all my top level area attacks...it makes very short work of those evil little buggers.
