...SImian said much of what needed to be said...

I will echo one sentiment, however...

Had I ANY idea that jedi would only allow me to Roleplay with the Wildlife of Endor and any other backwater where I have next to NO chance of encountering ANYONE, I would NEVER< I REPEAT< NEVER HAVE PAID TO BETA THIS GAME.

Having said that, as I should be a Community Elder by the time JTL:beta hits, help a bothan out...let me in =p

pretty much the only reason i bought this game was causei wanted to play jedi....but grinding professions was hella fun and i found a love for tka, pistoleer, rifleman, even BH. but when i unlocked my slot i was happy....i played for a few days....then i lost interest....ive only had mine for like a week. its just not that fun, its hard to make money with the jedi cause you haveto keep going to a mission terminal and people are probably there....I decided to do some theme parks and stuff. The fact that youre a jedi is cool, but what people dont understand is that...its VERY expensive and VERY slow training. The first box is probably equivilent to all the other combat profs combined....I figure ill never get past 4333 in the first tree....oh well, the grind was fun lol

as a 4,3,3,4 Initiate Newbie, I will say it's not worth it right now. For the amount of time you have to put into the Jedi, the reward is very low. Correct that, it's close to zero other than being able to Survey and save 15 skill points from your main.

I'm going to try and get my Jedi to Dark Appreciate Jedi and quit after that, I just don't really see the point in spending so much time on something that's not very rewarding.

well thanks alot for all the imput guys, I personally hate grinding so I think I will just go tkm/master fencer/pistol techniques and just whoop ass in PvP and PvE. thanks again, Serji.

I've recently returned from a summer break from SWG, and I'm in the market for a new gun. I read all about the new Power Cells, etc., and I'm unsure of what to do.

Right now, I have a decent Krayted Elite Carbine that I get by with it. By no means is it exceptional though. I want to know if it's really worth it to dish out the millions of credits and purchase an E11 Mk. II or an Elite with 1063 max damage, 2ish speed, and 73 SAC? Has anyone here had any before and after experiences after purchasing a capped carbine? Does it really make a difference, or should I just stick with what I have.

Side note: This is mainly for PvP purposes...the CU killed PvE, IMO. I'm a Master Carbineer, Master Combat Medic, with Pistoleer skills, so I can't use the Czerka for the kinetic damage it has. (since the cert for it is in BH)

With your template SAC will be important in the near future so a low speed low SAC weapon (that could be SAC puped without losing to much accuracy)would be a good investment IMO.

Play the game or don't it is what it is and will never be what it was for better or worse. I intend to play the game as long as it is fun, that does not make me a fan boy of brown noser. I know the game has it's flaws, but it serves no purpose to dwell in the past.

Low Sac is where its at, especially if you keep combat medic. Also, the Nym's Slugthrower is kinetic, and repeatable.

Post the stats of your current krayt carbine.

If the sac is near 90 or above you will need a new one with lower sac probably.

Well you definatley need a new Carbine if the sac is that high, A new weapon wont be just a matter of +60damage, but +60 Damage/+Amount of Specials before Sac runs out/+probably 0.2-0.5 secs faster. And possibly +50 or so accuracy (when its fixed) You could get a carbine with all that for around 3-4million On Farstar.

Good grief, /agree 100%. You'll want a new carbine just for the sake of having lower SAC than that. More damage is a bonus, but having 37 lower SAC is almost a necessity.
