I carry 5 carbines on my shift-hotbar.

I carry a laser, DXR6, and EE3 for damage PvE. I carry an Elite for PvP, and a DH17 snub that I've been meaning to replace with an E11 as soon as I find one worthwhile for rapid state application. Of course, my EE3 and DXR6 don't get the workout they should, because I haven't been able to find good specimens since the crackdown prompted me to abandon my sliced set, so the damage is pretty lacking on 'em.

I'm using two laser carbines, one sliced for damage and onesliced for speed. I both use them with 16% Min/32% Max powerups. I also have a Nym's Carbine, damage type Acid. Now I'll get a EE3, since I learned its damage type is heat.

Yep i like the Elite for PvP it's good at making them bleed. But by default i keep my e11 equiped with the same 1.4 + 33% speed attachment at 1.0....it rocks anyones world!

My laser with a speed powerup is 2.6, which works just fine for me And I just got a speed slice on my nyms carbine. I am reconsidering using the Elite again. But isn't the laser better in PVP anyways because of the +25% damage increase that you will have over anyone wearing armor?

they got rid of that 25% dmg increase with ap/ar a while ago... so as long as you've got ap1 yer doing max dmg.

I dont move a meter without buffs. So weapon HAM costs does not bother me at all.
Only use high damage weapons. DXR6/Elite/Laser. With Powerups in addition.

Hit hard, hit fast. Leave no witnesses behind..

DXR6 SUCKS BIG TIME!

Its better to have a speed sliced Nym's Carbine with you instead of a DXR6. At least in my server, even with stocks no DXR6 can have the max damg a Nyms carbine has, and even if it has, its HAM cost surpass those of a Nym's. So, get Nyms carbine, hope for a good speed slice, and you will have the Acid damgae dealing department covered.

THE ONLY WAY a DXR6 can be better than a Nym's is if u make a Krayt Stocked DXR6. Problem is DXR6 need 6 or five krayt tissues, whilst a laser only needs four. So i fi u get your hands on six tissues u better use them for a good Krayt/Stocked Laser or a Elite, and you will even have another tissue to make u a good krayt snud DH17, or even better, a krayt imperial stocked Bleed Enhanced E11.

CONCLUSION: DXR6 are not worth it at all, Nym carbines with a good speed slice/dmg powerup or a dmg slice/speed powerupis always better than any DXR6.

I'm very new to the profession and so far I use a modified E11 ( my favorit ) , a laser carbine and a Nym's.

I use a CDEF carbine that I made myself using 997 conductivity copper.

I use a Laser, but I'm considering a DXR6... Although, after Ether's post...

Well imo ether is way off. All nyms is good for is hanging on a wall. They must have some crappy resorces on that server or sompthing. The most basic no stock no scope well crafted with good resorces dxr6 will beat nyms. And Nyms has +0 Ideal range bonus...wich means you will miss a lot more. The stats are good for a looted gun but much much better can be made. Carbineers practicly have to buff to kill anyway so ham costs dont mater to me. But im a doc...I have all my weapons coustom made.
