Thread: Carbineer And Bounty Hunter

MBH/MC is an amazing template to use. Can take down any prof out there if you work it right. the only thing that will hurt ya are those CM's...and MLS of course.
Well you can't hurt a Defense Stacker (been there done that, got the T-Shirt).....at least not without a 10+ mil gun
it all depends...if he knows his template or not. Some people pickup the defense stacking because it's the in thing
no idea on how to work it. others though know everything about it and can laay a beatdown so it's all in the player really.
You can tell within the first 15 seconds of a fight if you are gonna win or lose. after those 15 seconds are up you gotta make a decision to fight or flee...but that's just my theory.

Very true indeed.....I was referring to two equally prepared individuals....although with the current armor/buff situation I find 95% of duels end in a draw or DoT feast.
on kett we don't have as big a problem with DoT's imo. the only dots I get hit with are from only a few people that all hunt together. the CM's are the poison in my tea
example:
was fighting a Rifleman/doc and I was so gonna murder him..he was on the ground, I was dealing 500 per hit and all was going well. problem was his GTEF buddy was CM/rifleman. had mind ticks for 700 and his rifle for 150 per hit
the mind ticks got me before I could finish his friend heh.
I got off track O.o
in all, if a def stacker and carbineer are equal then the def stacker would get an edge, but I notice people underestimate the power of states. stackiing those dizzies and a nice posture change down could pell trouble for the stacker. sure, you can't KD him due to def but if he's kneeled sometimes it can be jsut as good to gain distance. all a carbineer needs is 1 good angle in the fight and the stacker is down.
All i have to say is this, any combat proffesion works in pvp/pve if you want it to. (how much money, how much equipment you have and how good itis, how far you are willing to invest/train/develop it in order to be good is differant)
Bh and carbineer, has so many specials its just insane. My template is Master Carbineer, Bh carbines 4, Pistoleer --44, bh pistols 4 (and some fs stuff, also invest3) I have been a master carbineer since i started playing this game (over 9months ago now) and let me say, it isthe most fun proffesion i have played, simply because it is
it fits my playstyle and this game is starwars its so awesome to get carbines and full auto on people, or charge into battlefields just spraying down bolts of energy, peppering the enemy.
Some people have laughed at me, (i was laughed at a bit more often when i was a master carbineer, master combat medic, but if i tossed a poison id get /endduel or xtreme anger afterwards, but since picking up bh carbines (i had speed sea, just not enough money and time to invest in accuracy ones, ) so what did i do? pick up bh carbines, tons of speed, tons of accuracy (tons even when im blind i don't miss, blind does nothing to me) oh and some really badazzz specials, confusionshot (low low low ham good damage relyable stun/dizzy) fireknockdown, and underhand shot (chargeshot you cant fire if your pd, with bh kd you can, soooo sooo nice, they take more ham but more damage, and can fire pd, cant complain with that) and with be clothes for defense (my defense vs stun is over 109 with my be clothes, i take ithorian mist for defense vs dizzy, durindfire for more defense vs stun, and some other drink for defense vs intimidate, plus brandy, kd food, with pistoleer --44, man idk, but i do farely well in pvp, and ive had 8jedi kills (solo 1v1) i have good equipment, i have sea, and ive had 9months to learn how to use my skills. If done correctly you will be immensely powerful.
defense stacker = lame
dot users = lame ( i used to be one, but i was also a mind healer, group healer, and was the group medic, i only used poisons if my leader requested by a tell)
So many players rely on defense stacking, dots and buffs, (yeah its in the game, but i mean, they rely on their 1200 mind fire to kill me, not all their skills, they rely on their 2500 doc buffs so they win, not their skills, they rely on their defense vs kd +100 to win, which works now, but i feel sorry for them, and will feel a lot worse when combat upgrade happens and combat upgrade,
People should rely on their skills, (if you have dot weapons use them, but dont' RELY on them, thats what i say at least, i have a few dot weapons myself, its nice to use once ina while, lol area attack froma distance lay that poison=instant hate lemme tell you.

(This is my first post on this forum and about Carbines in general so appologies of the questions seem a little basic)
Ok I was going to put up a post asking for experianced Carbineer's oppinions but this thread looks a good place to ask:
I have a MBH with lots of Medic skills. I don't bother with PvP unless its in a RP context, but I still think MBH is about as usfull as a Chocolate Fireguard in a fight compared with just about every other combat profession.
Due tothis I dropped Master Medic and Started with some Pistoleer skills. You see the BH/Pistoleer types all over the place. After just wondering around with a friend who is MBH/MP and me taking about 4 times more damage I opted to become a MBH/MP clone.
However I much prefer the idea of being a BH who specialises in Carbines. My problem? I never see any other people doing this (on FarStar). When I ask people why I always get the same answer:
Carbiside.
You will kill yourself with specials before you get anywhere near killing anyone else.
This however is the oppinions of Pistoleers. I wanted to ask Carbineer's for your serious oppinion on whether Carbineer/BH can work without killing yourself? From this thread I gather it can be done?
Also
Is there a crafteble special weapon for Carbineers? Like the DE-10 for Pistoleers and Nightsisters Energy Lance for Pikemen etc.

buffed your ok. will not kill yourself. just use plenty of brandy and ahrisa. back in day before buffs were big this was an issue.

Buffs, and food. It's the only way out. You can get Carbines crafted without stocks or scopes, which significantly reduces the HAM costs (and may help), or you could even use special HAM cost powerups, but migrating your stats towards the sub-stats and using a steady set of buffs is essential to any Carbineer.
MBH/MC is very common.. more so than MBH/MP on the whole accross most servers, I find. EyeShot's ability has been reduced with mind buffs and mind foods, so that a more tactical approach (Carbineer) usually yields better results. There's actually a whole section dedicated on HAM costs in the FAQ - check it out.
Carbicide is a nasty thing.. but it can be dealt with.

Just the enhanced E11 from Jabba's Themepark, which only differs from the standard E11 Carbine in that it has a 150 heath bleed on it. There's Nym's slugthrower, but no, we do not have a DXR6-B Tenloss, DE-10, Executioner Hack, NSEL equivalent.
