I'm with TAFireHawk on this one. I'm Master Bounty Hunter with 3040 Carbineer.
This is an unusual point spread but I did it for a few reasons.
Cone damage shots like BurstFire2 in the Counter Insurgency line.
An advanced posture change (SuppressionFire2), again in the Counter Insurgency line. This combined with SprayShot gives me another option should FireKD fail to stick, without having to fall back on Marksman specials.
Some secondary and state defences.
ScatterShot2 was the sole reason I took the Assault line due to its dependability and accuracy. WildShot1 is superceded by ConfusionShot and downright eclipsed by SprayShot.
What remains is the fact that other than the SprayShot/FAS2/WildShot comparisons, BH specials serve a very different purpose to the ones offered by carbineer and as TAFireHawk correctly stated, I use my MBH moves to control my target and my carbineer moves to tear him a new one.

If we work off the assumption that carbineers are meant to be the crowd controllers of ranged combatants, this statement seems odd. It seems to me that it should be carbineers who get better "control my target" abilities, and the bounty hunters (those who hunt people) who get better "tear him a new one" ones.
Having never been a BH though, I'm not sure how it works...

The basic difference is that a master carbineer will get moves that allow him/her to control large groups of targets. (FAA2, ChargeShot2, WildShot2) The master bounty hunter is defined by his/her ability to exercise a greater degree of control over a SINGLE target.
By definition, a master carbineer IS crowd control...by controlling crowds.
Bounty hunter IS single target control. We're honed to control and eliminate just one person...our mark.

If they were, then BHs would become obsolete the moment those changes werepublished. Bounty Hunters NEED to be more reliable, we Carbineers trade the certainty of success for the chance to affect multiple targets.

Actually that would have had zero affect. Unlike the uneducated masses that whied about that minor bug, TAFirehawk was fully aware it was a graphical bug only and he would have continued to rain crippleshots on you while you sat there tickling him with a low damage shot.
Yes I am still bitter about that whole issue...

What *was* that issue? Being a newcomer to the carbineer sceen, I heard rumors about that. But the most I heard about this was one post referencing another post, and the other post just had everybody "/whistle"ing...

It may have been but a graphic bug to ranged fighters, to melee classes it was a game breaker.
Besides, it was only meant as a joke for a bit of visual slapstick.
