The problem was that the old ChargeShot1 would give the appearance of being constantly KD'd, but it was just a graphic flaw. Ranged fighters could still shoot as they would normally.

The problem was for melee fighters. They could be pinned in place using the bugged shot and completely devastated at range.

/prenerf ChargeShot1 was awesome but it did need to be balanced......BUT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE COMBAT BALANCE.

That is what pisses me off about it, not that it got fixed but WHEN......stupid cry baby nerf herders that got pwned by ONE Carbineer ONCE in 100....

BTW, yes I am enjoying playing IN COLOR today

I was an MBH/Carbineer 0430 for a long time and it was ok. NPC marks never really stood a chance but I was always lacking in PvP. I then jumped on the Genosian bandwagon and dropped some Carbineer and my MBH for a BH, Carb,Pistoleer template. I found it great for PvP in most cases but it dropped off with the 40% stun and PSGs coming out. I also couldn't do much in group PvP for GCW type events.

Finally I have come around to Master Carbineer/BH 0430 and I am loving it. Yes I gave up investigation so I really am not a BH anymore but I got tired of it anyway with all the bugs. I really have no problems with the Carbineer specials I use compared to my BH specials. The combination FAS2, Burst Shot2, and Crippling I find to be more than enough. Though I do still love my FireKD compared to the Chargeshots. But what I like the most in the carbine tree is the posture downs that give me those crucials extra shots I need to compete in PvP. The KD is not the end all and be all to PvP in my opinion. A person who uses their posture downs like Action, and suppression 2 can be lethal in PvP with the right dxr6 or elite. And as a carbineer I feel that I contribute much more to groups and GCW stuff than I did as a BH. If I had the tapes I would drop BH but for the time being I love being able to stick my specials frequently with the nasty speed and accuracy that Mstr Carb and the 0400 line of BH gives you.

I prefer my spread sheet

Your carbine speed ends up beingway morethan maxed out, mine is +105, while you only need +90

+90 speed will only get you to the cap with a 4.0 speed weapon or faster. So, you do need more than +90 to cap some of those slower carbines that have reloads greater than 4.0.

I'm a BH 0400 And master carbs, along with SL 0010 and I'm loving it. My group is about 10 times more effective because of my specials than we ever were when I was a Fencer, or a BH/Pistoleer.

Yes, I'm not as effective in one on one PvP, but really, I don't do much of that anyway, and to be honest, with the exception of some Doctor builds, and poison dot weapons, I kick alot of butt even solo.

And what was said above about the BH specials vs the Carbineer specials is true. I find myself using the carbs specials to control the states of entire groups, and my BH specials for when I have to take out one guy.

And the ACC and Speed mods I get from BH are ungodly. I understand that with the right amount of money, Carbineer can stand alone, but I am poor. At least for now, and to be able to compete on the same level as someone who has spent millions of creds on tapes makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I tend to use burst shot 2 (Carbineer special)to mow down crowds of mobs then I will switch to fullautosingle 2 (Carbineerspecial)when a mob gets to close till the 3 states are applied, do fire knockdown (BH special), and finish off the mob with cripple shot (Carbineer special). I tend to be doing PvE and not much PvP. I am beginning to think having better defenses would do the same thing as knocking the mob down with fire knockdown.

The main problem with this template is you have a huge number of skillpoints invested in mastering marksman and mastering scout. What do I car about pistols/rifles/traps/tents. If I can get +20 in carbine skill tapes I'm going to drop BH and do a mixed MasterCarbineer/MasterMelee(sword?) template.
