Yes, just earlier today my friend and I (both carbineers with crippling shot) succesfully raided Bestine, killing over 20 imps BY OURSELVES. Then those 20 or more imps teamed up with even more imps to raid Anchorhead, and my friend and I continued to kill every imp we saw, BY OURSELVES. Crippling shot is like an AWP. Its slow but it almost ALWAYS kills any enemy in one hit. If one of us misses or underdamages, the next shot kills them for sure.

When the imps were coming to anchorhead, my friend and I waited in the cloning center and used crippleshot on every imp that came in. Crippleshot has a high wound chance, so not only did they have all of the wounds from that, but they also got even more wounds from respawning in Anchorhead without first storing their clone data. Then they would try to use their revenge TEF on my friend, but then I would just blast the guy and give him even more wounds. Then they try to use their revenge TEF on me, and then my friend would blast him and give him even more wounds.

Because of this, most of the imperials trying to raid us now had too many wounds to even fight. Some of them had their mind bar completely black from all the wounds, so they couldn't even fight back. Thanks to crippling shot, all of them except 2 went running back to Bestine with their tails between their legs. The only 2 that stayed were the guys who managed to clone, but then we wounded them so much with crippling shot, and made them lose so many FP with our constant winning, they decided to give up too. Man I love this move.

I really enjoy Crippling Shot. I hear the BurstShot line is cool, but I don't have any of them. CS for my laser carbine does up to a modifier of 7.5 to the max damage. That means for my unspliced laser at 230 damage, I've done up to 1740 damage.

Decided to test it out a bit on my friend. He was armorless. I nailed him for 1640 actiondamage and he took 400 wounds to one of the action stats. (Needless to say, he still won the fight since he's a swordsman with a crazy ass mind bleed that kills you in 1 tic.)

Hey any of you guys use crippling shot? I am 140k from getting the skill and I wanted to know if it deals alot of damage or not. I currently use knockdown (BH Carine tree) and I mainly use ... well I forgot the name, but it shoots multiple bolts at once and its the second one of them... that shot deals alot of damage! Anyhow, I hope crippling will be worth it, if not I Might consider going rifleman. Thanks.

In my book, crippling shot is the best shot besides charge shot 1. I deliever 3000+ dmg every third shot (just about) with crippling shot. Of course I'm using a 67-327 laser carbine 4.1 speed.

Sweet! I have a similar carbine, maybe 322 damage, 3.5 speed. I'll definitly work on getting this skill today and tomorrow. I dont like the fact that it damages a random ham. It would be nice if it just did Health. Also, how does crippling shot work in PvE? LoL, it would be nice if I could one shot people like the good old days.

Also my favorite shot. Action 1 or 2, then Cripple. Repeat.

Is this the most inaccurate shot in the game?

Everyone knows it hits a random pool (my observation is about 2/5 health 2/5 action 1/5 mind)

I stopped using this shot about a month ago...but OMG when i do want to use it it misses like 60% of the time.

reguardless of posture/range/moving..

anyone else notice this?

I have. I use it quite a bit, just because it drops weaker mobs in one shot, but I did notice it misses like crazy.

It could just be me imagning things, but who knows.

Ironic that you get it in the 'carbine marksmanship' line too.

I miss maybe once out of twenty shots... maybe not even that. I have never had a problem with accuracy with any shots specially not crippling shot.
