the fact that it hits rndom pool is dissapointing to me because i thought that this was our high damage shot on par with eye shot and headshot makes me wonder if it is a bug or on purpose either way between this and bugged legshot free we are left high and dry

Personally, I've had good luck with this shot. it does a ton of damage, and for me the proportion seems to be at least 60% health pool (the target's, not mine .

I agree, though, that we should have a high-damage, single-pool shot akin to what the other weapons have. Didn't they just fix ChargeShot2? For the 4 people that have that special... how about addressing some of the other broken, more common specials?

Yah maybe if you would throw away the ee3 or elite max dmg of 200 and grab a laser with max dmg of 300+ you might see some 3000dmg shots on mobs and then you will see why I like it so much.

Your accuracy depends on the weapon and what range you are shooting at. I can see missing 60% of the time at point blank range, but most laser carbines have a positive to-hit modifier at 50ish yards. I hit 90% at opitum range. So, you should figure this out first.

And yeah, if you are another profession looking to cry nerf, then please read this first:

You can hit with a damage-sliced, damage-powerup, masterly made Laser Carbine using Cripple shot for 3000-3500, but the average is ~1300-1500 to a random pool. Just because once in a while it hits that high does NOT mean it is a normal hit.

With Cripple shot and my PvP Laser Carbine I usually hit an AR0 monster with no resists anywhere from 300 to 3000, with the average right imbetween... once in a long while I'll see a 200-300 or a 3000-3500, but those seem to be rare.

Okay, that's all I wanted to add right now

yes...but it seems to decrease the amount of weapon exp i get from the lair by 10% or so. actually, using any of my specials seem to do that on a lair-kill

I'd say at least half my shots with cripple shot are above 3000 damage with my laser carb... highest I've noticed was 3900.

No need to be rude chief, he is referring to the posts above this one in the carbineer forum. There is one in particular which details the specials available to us, and crippling shot is listed in it.

If all else fails you can always hold your mouse cursor over the icon for a few seconds and read the help box that pops up. That method can be used even if you do not currently have the skill by going into the skill tree (ctrl+S) and looking through the carbineer tree to find the level that gives you the special you are curious about.

Not trying to flame you or anything, but when someone points you in the right direction don't troll them for it...
