So whos fault is it really that these barc's are getting traded about like illegal diamonds? A noob might not know how much its worth sure, But ignorance is never an excuse. All it takes is a lil research and you can find out if anyone is trying to rip you off. Isnt that the whole purpose of a buisness and economy forum?

This game has probably one of the best economies in any MMOG, its completely player driven. There are no NPC vendors to sell loot to, no default prices for anything.

In that kind of economy anyone selling anything really should have enough forethought to do a little bit of research before selling. Heck with the new vendor/bazaar search its stupidly easy to do price checking.

i forwarded the mails to some guildys (the crafter is in no guild... but the jedi is) and watched TV after that and when i have come back i had 3 tells with "im realy sorry".

And then he wanted to know why i have a low CL and when i told him that im crafter he realy wanted to know where my shop is, that he can buy some stuff there.

So you see you can have a loot of fun with that guys and get some money too....... and its legal.

It's one thing to buy low and sell high. That's just capitalism. But conning some noob out of a reward not even an hour into the game is just downright cruel and demeaning. Worse the noob might not even figure this out for several hours or days after they sold it.

To prevent noob scams like this, I'd suggest a 15 day timer on rewards. After that timer is up they can trade it like normal but prior to that such rewards are non-tradeable. This would protect the noobs until they have at least that much time to orient themselves ingame and yet not totally blow away the market for BARCs or any other valuable reward.

Why noobs are gettting scammed and ripoff in the game, simple cause the missions don't play much, that's why, SOE have to increase the amount of money per mission at list for something decent, post pre-cu a group of 20 was able to run 30k mokk and janta missions, that helped me a lot to buy better weapons, better armor, when SOE nerfed the 30k group mission my only hope was to group with my at-st, then after that bam !, another nerf and mission went down to 10k. In intrepid to buy a good set of faction armor is a 1mil how many mission will take me to buy a good set of faction armor, or at list something decent.

The money making is stupid, cause if you don't have a good armor or good weapons you can go hunt for good loot to sale and make some extra credits, the 30k group missions should come back, there's a different ways to make money but again, if you dont have the necessary equiptment, forget it, that's why the noobs are desperate to make some cash and they get scammed.
