God what a moron he clearly stated above that if a character account was delted the money that was loaned would be redeemed to the banker. I.e. U take a loan and tip it to ur main account. You delete the secondary character. The money you just tipped is redeemed to the banker..........

Uh, how is the money redeemed to the banker? Does it magically withdraw itself from another person's account? And whose account would it pull from? Consider if the money was tipped to different people. There is no game mechanic for what the poster proposed as a means to keep bankers from being defrauded. And what happens if the defaulter tips the money to a character who then buys something with the credits. I doubt that SOE is going to try very hard to track down laundered money, it would be a lot less of a headache for SOE if it didn't implement this idea in the first place.

everyone stop this insanity.


this idea goes all the way back to the original beta. A SAFE WAY TO LOAN YOUR OWN MONEY TO ANOTHER PLAYER.


it isn't complicated at all...the same mechanics used in taxes inside player cities is used here as well. automatic weekly deductions. and a cap on how much one person can loan out.


this is just one of the many updates that are on the back burner because it is not central to the main game processes.


they already have the idea....just never decided to code it and put it in the game.

It is very complicated, because a player can easily delete his character or give his money to another.

I honestly know that the idea needs working but i am sure that SOE can do it . Cause it is based on mecanics already embeded in the game. Now maybe we should only let the BANKER buy "things" instead of givingmoney as loans , but i know it can happen and i will be glad to be the first banker :-)

yah, I don't think this would be posible, say one buddy is deciding to quit the game and takes a huge loan and buys a bunch of junk from another buddy then quits just so his buddy can get some cash. Sounds to complex

It could work this way though -


A banker can craft "bank books" like credit chips. A player can put money in or take money out of one, or give it away. While money is in the chip, it gains x% annually on the balance, prorated per day. He can set the x% when crafting it. While money is in the chips, it goes to a special account the banker can access - his "bank assets". The total on the "bankbooks" can exceed the total in the account (it almost certainly will). If folks start cashing in their accounts, and the bank runs dry, then the money starts coming out of the banker's personal account until he goes broke.


He can draw money from that account to make "loan chips". A loan chip has entries for Principle, interest (simple interest for the life of the loan) , and number of payments. They can be traded, but can only be kept in inventory or the safety deposit box. Every 24 hours, the server runs through and deducts payments as incidcated and puts the money in the "bank assets" account of the banker who made the chip.


The way this works is -


Bob the banker annouces he's opening a bank. He crafts a bank book for himself and puts 1Mcr on it at 5% interest, thus setting up his own payroll. Note that if the bank folds, Bob's going to be paying himself the interest - no new money in the game.


Ned Newbie comes by and wants to borrow money. Bob crafts a 5kcr chip at 8% simple for25 daily payments. Ned's going to be paying out about 202cr/day, but the bank assets will go up by a whopping 50cr. Ned can use the chip to withdraw up to 5kcr to his regular bank account.


Mike the Miner has 500kcr on hand, but wants to upgrade all his medium harvs to Large 13BERs. He figures he needs another 500k for about a week. Bob crafts a 500kcr chip at 5% simple (he figures Mike's a better risk) for 7 days. Each day of the week, the chip auto-deducts 75k from Mike's bank account (500k x 1.05 / 7) . The bank ends up ahead by 25kcr


Richy Rich realizes he has something he can do with the 50Mcr he has left after buying 3 AV21s and a large house. He invests 20Mcr into the bank. Bob worries about making the interest if Richy withdraws it all, and they talk it over and decide on 1.2% per year. This is about 500k/month, plenty for Richy to make maint on everything, and he's happy.


Bob now has a lot of money he can loan out to people starting businesses and get the economy moving.... and no new money has been added.


Side suggestions: Hitting negative on a loan generates BH mission as listed above. Each time a player attempts to withdraw from his bankbook account and the bank doesn't have the money, a BH mission is generated for the banker.

Let us suppose that there is no CASH LOANS ? okay , if you need anything the banker buys it to you , with respect of ownership till you pay it off completly to the bank .
