Depends on how viable all the new weapons and templates are. If they are very viable, the renewed interest in other templates will require many more weapons being purchased. I'm not sure how armor will work out. BE will probably rise, but we'll see about that. It's really hard to judge what will bring in the most credits. Even after the CU, existing stocks will have be used to really gauge the market.
I am a BE that specalized in petsI used a recipie that i used to use to make a saleable lvl 50-55 pet and it now makes an unusable lvl 220+ pet do not see myself making money any time soon.

ripped off? speaking for myself, and many of my crafting friends that have spent millions on ca's and resources i would like to tell you what you can do with a donkey, but i'd get kicked off the forums. i'm sure that you fail to realize that in the old system you would have a snowball's chance in hell without good weapons and armor and that good weapons and armor were the basis of combat oriented toons' money making abilities. the cycle went something like this: good armor and weapons were made, then they were sold to combat oriented toons, the combat oriented toons could then kill NS, rancors, krayts, gorax, nyax...etc..., combat oriented toons then sold ca's, aa's, layers, shards, pearls, looted uber weapons, and many other crafting components to the crafters who then made them more armor and weapons. it all balanced out. in conclusion i would like to say that i'm sure that somewhere and sometime many combatants paid too much for their weapons and armor, but they probably did this through lack of comparative shopping. if you had the feeling you were paying too much, you should have looked elsewhere. i myself took up armor smithing because i got tired of trying to find stocked wookie armor. trust me when i tell you that life was much easier and money was better as a combat oriented looter.

that was my life as a swordsman. loot. kill NS, get loot, sell, buy more armor. buy more weapons. it is gone now that the ability to solo high-end content is greatly reduced.
luckily i have a healthy store of credits from my days of loot whoring and have ample time to find new methods of making money.

My solution: respec to BH Inv4. Currently the NPC marks are greatly overrated on the terminals. I'm almost embarassed to kill them. But then I'm just a casual player who would like to keep my nostalgic trophy house from burning down between visits.
If I were ambitious, I'd go back to BE and make crates of stims....but that doesn't sound like much fun. Didn't like pet stims so don't see why people stims would be any more fun to make.

I can tell by your brilliant comments that you have tried being a crafter. If it is so easy to cash in on crafting, wouldn't everyone do it?

Easy to make money. Just get a buncha paper, some ink, a printing press...
Okay, a real one. I suspect for awhile with armor in short supply (armorSMITHS in short supply), and BE's needing meat, scouts may be able to make a killing. I know I'm collecting hides and meats like crazy.

Urm, Krayts can still be solod, even tho devs upped their difficullty lvl, tho i'm not sure how much pearls are going for on Infinity, 20 pearls will sell nicely, space is the greatest money maker i find, that or group hunting, space mineing will be the new resource selling and will make good money as shippysneed asteriod resources to make new parts for POB and new bodykitsfor fighters etc.

The best way to grind cash after the CU will be in space. Either grinding space destroy missions, or maybe mining asteroids.
Selling loot might also be good, but it will likely be a lot harder to do since you won't be able to solo krayt dragons and NS Elders anymore.
