They could add eyewear that is not the same that those got with the CE.
I would add body piercings to the image designer profession instead of something being crafted.

So long as they are functional looking (like the googles they wore on Hoth) and not for style ... otherwise it'll look like The Matrix Online not Star Wars.
The prequels have shown a Star Wars world that's full of flash over utility. I prefer the OT "function over form" look myself.
Even still, eyewear is on the bottom of my list of things I'd like them to fix. It's hardly a necessity to enhance gameplay. For the period I can only remember pilots and Hoth troopers having any sort of "eyewear".

Well I have the eyeglasses from the special edition but never wear them. I wish they would make them tradeable by means other than exploit and then I could sell 3 pair I got.

Well frankly I think it would be ok to add eyewear by now - The Special Edition SWG was released over 1½ year ago and hardly any of the people who bought it plays anymore. At least they don't use their eyewear.
But since we brought how much you paid for them up, how about us that bought JTL just to have shuttle times reduced to one minute? Did I feel screwed over when they did that?
Yes.
But I didn't complain (much anyway)
Can't see why someone would get a hair across the @ss becuase of a crummy pair of goggles.

Unfortunately, the game decided to make shades the domain of their special editons so those are probably out (even the awesome japnaese SE ones.../cry) but,I would assume upcoming cybernetics addition might give us some eye options and they could justify some reading/corrective styles with clear frames. My only question would be whether they existed in Star Wars. I don't recall anyone wearing them in the movies.

I'd really like to see eyewear in the game too... and in the movies people wear goggles (pod racing) and there was that guy in episode II that have some type of patch covering his eye (idea for more episode I, II, and III content!) I'm sure you'd see more eyewear if you look hard enough (in books and pictures and what not..)

New types of eyewear would be a nice addition to the game - they're practical on the deserts of Tatooine with 2 suns glaring at you, and how about protection from sandstorms? They're painful if you get caught in one!
Also like to see a wider range of clothing all around - the variety at the moment is excellent, but there's not much "new" coming in and the styles are getting a bit old & repetative. How about "dirty" or tornclothes too? Everything looks very new, with the exception of Gunmans Dusters, and too many people wear them already.
I'd also like to see headwear that doesn't make you look bald as soon as you put it on - how about a hat/cap that goes on top of your head and leaves your hair visible underneath instead of replacing your hair?

Well i would disagree, I bought the special edition and paid the extra $20 bucks thinking that there would be other cool things, but all it really meant was that i got glasses in game. If SOE would refund my $20 then fine would love to see glasses for everyone in game, it was supposed to be a perk for paying my extra cash and you guys just want it for free, you should have paid the extra money and got the special edition.

I agree it would be unfair. But how about the special edition goggles have added mods for accuracy (They are goggles thathelp you see better
)and become tradable. Also we could make other eyewares not look to similar to the goggles. Add capes too! Lando wears a cape! I want one ![]()

I bought the "Special Edition" SWG. And I think I recieved enough other goodies (sew-on patch, figurine, art book) with it to soften the pain of letting everyone have goggles. Just seems a natural thing for us ALL to have. Because I tend to RP some, Roka dons his goggles when going to LOK and Tatooine. I'd like for us to have the monocle thing the japenese SE have also. I've seen so much stuff in this game that just seems to make sense to let crafters produce, it's just a pity they cant. Talk about giving the ability to make oneself more indiviualistic, clothes and such are a perfect expression of that. And while we're talking about adding, I saw some things in and at the "Farmer's" house that would be fantastic to add.
Thanks

eyewear would be wonderful.
agreed on the more variety of headwear.
Id like to see them implement head/eye wear like KOTOR series, such as visors, masks, etc. Maybe even give minor mods like in kotor as well.

First, adding eyewear for everyone would decrease the uniqueness of the Special Edition eyewear given to those who paid the extra $20.00.
But, the Ithorian swoop helmet's goggles go down over the eyes when worn, and my Ithoriancharacter on Corbantis has been asked numerous time if those are the Special Edition eyewear for Ithorians. When I reply that they are not, some say it isn't fair, and one person, who was wearing his SE eyewear, got outright hostile about it.
They have already cheapened some of the other "specials": for example, they gave the Flash Speeder only to those who had pre-ordered Jump To Lightspeed expansion; now they give an X31 Landspeeder to all new players (or players who roll a new character on a different server, even those, like myself, who get a Flash Speeder on every server).
Therefore, nothing is sacred, and fair or not, I look for them to add eyewear "soon," maybe with the next Edition, with the new planet Kashyyyk.
Second, if they can design the Ithorian helmet so that the goggles go over the eyes (and I can see why they did, but an ithorian would look totally ridiculous with a helmet and his goofy-enough-looking eyes sticking out front), it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to make all goggles on Swoop helmets flop down over the eyes, even if only when they mount a vehicle or mount.
A side issue is that Sullustans can wear the regular Swoop helmet, but cannot wear the Podracer helmet (formerly) given as a reward on one of the quests in Mos Espa, I forget the dude's name who has you rescue the old girlfriend in distress. Consistency does not seem to be a major virtue of the Design team on SWG.
But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong! -- Dennis Miller

The reason a hat makes you look bald is it replaces your hair mesh with the hat mesh. This is the main reason it took so long to get the Imperial hat and why it is only werable by human and zabrak males...it's not really a hat, it'sremoveable hair that looks like a hat (it basically the same bug that allowed IDs to give Twi's hair).
To add hats that don't make you bald would require coding in a new layer over your hair. This brings up the problem of the big mohawk and the afro. How do these hair meshes work with a hat on top of them?
