Thread: Eyewear is missing part of the game. You think it should be added?

They should certainly add new types of eyewearfor everyone, but keep specific Special Edition goggles as Special Edition only
agreed, anything else would devalue the special edition, and it wqould no longer be "special"

On the other hand, how many special edition accounts are still active anyways? What happened to all those people that traded their goggles away. I know the people who received them lost them, but did the people who traded them lose them as well? If the impact isn't significant (affects a small portion of the gaming population), might consider adding them. Kinda surprised earrings haven't been added. This is how you know it's a not a woman heading the clothing design team.

I have the special edition and I wear my eyeware --
I wold be disapointed if it was or any other eyeware was available to the general public. I poaid my money and well if you wanted eyeware you should have to.
If it is made available to others then we need something else unique -- that makes us stand out. It would have to be somehting other players do not have and that is completely original (like the glasses are now)
otherwise -- its not fair. (and yes i bought the special edition JUST for the ingame item.) the rest of it i dont and didnt care about.
They could probably accommodate you somehow. Perhaps some small stat increase or resistance. However I think it was foolish of SOE to designate the eyewear slot only for certain people. It was bound to be something people would want in the future.
Ummm, like bikes for newbies? The Flash Speeder was given only to those who had pre-ordered JTL, and they felt SPECIAL AND NICE AND FAIRLY TREATED, because they took some INITIATIVE and sent in for the expansion ON TIME. Now all newbies get a free bike when they first come on, not to say SEVENTY-FIVE *THOUSAND* CREDITS!!! Holy criminoly, what are they thinking? The game went from 250 credits when it first launched, and that was GOOD for a year and a half, then they jumped it to 1000 credits, but SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND CREDITS FOR A NEWBIE????
Geeze. There just isn't any reason to go out and EARN YOUR WAY in this game any more.
You want "not fair?" That's not fair.
And yes, they did give all existing players at xmas 75K, whoopee. Gee, that sure meant a lot to me, who had 15 MILLION at the time! It sure could have made a difference when I first started, July 15, 2003, but didn't mean squat now. How about they give me 75000/250 (300) TIMES what I have now? Wouldn't that seem more fair? 4.5 Billion would mean just about as much to me now as 75000 would have the day I started playing. :->
/rant off; my blood pressure's peaking.
If "if's and but's" were candy and nuts, we'd all be sick to our stomach!

Well the problem is that the perks they're offering are either variations of existing things or things that shouldn't have been perks, i.e. the eyewear.
