Thread: I see your not level 80. You must be a NOOB. /pathead
Hello there,
Long time reader, first time poster. This thread caught my eye and I have a bunch of funny stories just like y'all. I'm not a crafter or artisan in anyway but am treated like a noob or struggling level builder in mycombat classes.
Pre-CU I was a one-man army. All melee. Indestructible.
Post-CU I'm still all melee. Hanging tough, way harder... but thanks to the ol' FS skill boxes my combat level has steadily fallen from CL80 to the mid- to low-70s.
Lots of combat folks arrogantly think that I cannot fight and constantly challenge me to duels. It's funny how hung up folks get on a few numbers in a circle, eh? And not just the crafter types!
Stay safe,

lol, my crafting toon is lvl 1No one has said anything to me yet about it. Then again, most on my server know who I am already.
And I think that's also a very good point to be made here in the B & E forum. I get the feeling many who post here fit into 2 very strict categories - Either you ARE the complete noob coming into the arena of SWG Finance, or you are a long time vet of the Economy . Doesn't seem to be much in between here. But the whole real point as a response to the actual point of the topic.. It really IS a case of identity in this game. Either you are "well known" and therefore nobody even CARES about your Level, or you have been one what *I* call the SIlent players. They may make great items, they MAY be the richest person on the server - But have been so quiet and introverted that when you are seen out in the "world", you are easily mistaken for a new player constantly.(This actually could be considered good on servers where people tend to have the "tip first and get the noob outta your face" mentality)
Hehe, yes, being well known makes up for combat level. People "worship" my level 1 SW for his goods, this is far better than any combat level
But it is a pity that you need level 80 for pvp, no more mixed fun, just pure combat or no pvp

That in itself is the thing killing the game for me, that very last line above. I'm forced to be a partial crafter and be denied the chance at PvP, or I go 100% combat and then have nothing else to do. Right now I'm a Rifleman/Shipwright, lol, but the game is setup to force me to be a Rifleman/Combat of some other combat profession. Why? And until I get an answer to that "Why?" question, then they can do without my $15 a month.

Well, I get /pathead all the time, but I'm a short Bothan Ranger, so I guess it comes with the territory *big grin*
