I've been playing about 3 months, and in thise 3 months I have met some n00bs who are plain jerks and I want to kill over and over, and others that are now very good friends. If anyone has looked at the Bloodfin board, then you may have seen my posts about Palpi and Tobar. If not, then, well, here it is.

Palpi--- I met him in Theed and I could tell he was a newb.(CL 5 and he didn't know the difference between SHUTTLEport and STARport.) Anyway, I met Palpi in Theed. I answered his questions for 3 days, and finally told him about guilds. I got him into my guild, and we were all fine with him for a while.(Just like most newbies in the guild, we have recruited a lot lately.) Anyway, after a few hours, he was trying to tell me that Jabba's men took him to the palace and they put him in the rancor pit, and if I didn't come to save him, he would be killed by the rancor. So, I tell him that being killed once doesn't matter,I have been killed many times. He keeps complaining about how he doesn't want to die, and how he is2nd inline to be eaten. So, 20 minutes later he says "HELP!!!! There are still 4 people in front of me that will be eaten, and they say I will lose my game if I don't get saved." So, I tell him that the "people" are lying and play along with his scheme. Laterhe says he was eaten and thrown into Jabba's jailcell, and he needed 100K to get out, and I told him I wasn't thatrich.(I had, in fact, just made my first mil from selling Katarn Armor) A few hours later, I saw him behnd me at the starport in Coronet. I asked him why he was there, and not locked up, and he said that he was "sent on amission for his freedom." I still played along. Well, then i got really annoyed.He said that a fellow guildie, who was a pretty good friend and had justmade about 10 mil, had askedHIM for money. At this point, I got really ****ed. This friend was offline and had been for a fewhours. I asked him why he was lying, and he said "How does it feel to be betrayed, REBEL SCUM.?!?!" This arguement was pretty interesting. He kept saying he hated mycrappy guild and allthe people init sucked. It was pretty easy to get him madder, by telling him "wait, you're in the guild, do you mean that you suck?" So, I spent a few minutes arguing with him, and after hecalled me some names I'drather not mention, I told him he could burn and he was on my ignore list. The next day he had a CSR following him around. Lol

This next story is shorter and about a guy named Tobar. I was in Mos Eisley yesterday and tried to get a BARC. I was offering 1.5 mil for one, which is about the price you can now get them on Bloodfin. So,I send a tell to Tobar, andhe says, "No way, these things are worth about 7 mil."I told him he was misinformed, he told me I Was misinformed, called me a noob, and told me to stop talking to him. Itold him I would stop talking, and he said "STOP, orI'll send a harassment ticket on you." I laughed really hard, and told him again that I didn't harass him at all, merely asked him if he would sell his BARC, and walked away. He ran after me sending me some mean tells, and I put him on my ignorelist. I then told my guild that if they wanted a laugh, send him a tell about his BARC. I got about 7 responses from that.

Anyway, just thought I'd share my badrun-ns with newbs/n00bs.

The other day I was ticked off a tad by this mentality.

I have a jedi, therfore I have an alt. The alt became my main when I found out that my alt was way more fun to play with than the jedi. And I, after all, play for fun. My alt is a lvl 56 master artisian/master smuggler/master marksman. Just enough to beat down the wild spawns that pop up next to my harvesters and give me a boat load of useless goodies to make. But I have fun with this so it doesn't matter.

Well I ran the kitarn armor quest. Finally got the stuff only to find out I couldn't use it. Not battle certified. At least my jedi could use it as my jedi has master doc in his template. Or maybe I could drop part of marksman and get carbineer to give me the certification needed to wear the armor. As I was mulling over this a genuine noob was standing in the corner. I am not saying this due to the time he played as he was wearing RIS but to his demeanor in this situation. He said that sucked and offered me 30k for the armor. Said that was the best offer I was going to get/that was all he had. I patiently sat and listened then explained I have been playing since launch and obviously he had more than he said he had due to the FULLset of RIS he had donned. Not to mention that I spent 300k for the set of armor I was wearing at that time anyways. He then tried to explain that it was marauder armor. I was kind enough to explain that I had a full set of marauder and tantel as well as the ubese I was wearing. Then I explained that I would keep the armor as a keepsake along with certain items. I was a carbineer on my jedi alt before the CU and had a couple of E-11's convert nicely. One of them does 1124 dmg and I made sure to mention it due to the fact that he was holding one himself. He then offered me 200k for the anti-decayed weapon and I got frustrated and told him I had harvesters to check. Keep in mind that the weapon in mind is worth a little more than the stated price due to the ADK installed on it, and the fact that he stated he could only scrape up 30k for the full suit of kitarn.

Aggravating but a good laugh after my anger subsided.

I am not big on the crafting side, but I can undertand with being called a "noob" and all. Take a look at my forum name, that was the name I was given, and by policy it can never be changed. I have had so many people think I was new, that I settled on a conclusion that they were lost and confused; they said something rude before thinking. Looking at my join date, you can clearly see I am sort of an old timer.

Remember that some people do not understand game mechanics well,some people (like me) say things before they think a lot, and some are just down right idiots. Do not let them get you down simply because they did not understand or because they wanted to be the server's top troll. Keep rolling out your wares, and remember that we were all new at one point.
