really it takes 60. 20 for the first 10k, 40 for the next 20k

here are some things I used(similar/same/different ideas can be found on the boards also), my first 10k was easy, I had saved up 18 containers.

I spent the start of the firstday using clamps on mission terms every 2 min(if you dont have much money you dont need clamps, just guess),while I waited I offered to open containers(3k is standered some have to pay more, some have no prob with less, its really luck). and then I would grind spices. This works, but is not best becausewhile sortive cheap, its not the fastest and you finishspices pretty **edit** fast.

how I canged: if you have the money, go to generic items on bazzar and hit galexy, go tocities with most containers and work your way down. Long story short I went to one city with 15 locked containers(it was in coreillia and a city very fewpeople go to, why they were there I will never know). All but about 3 were 3k each(the three were 1k). do the math real quick, if you want slicing fast it will cost you about 200k including clamps.by the time I had sliced terms and offered to open containers(i payed them only 1k if they wanted to keep em, which quite a few like to), i really didnt need all that many but it wasent bad. If you get lucky and see cities selling quite a fewslicing 1&2 will takeno time at all. I would of had it faster but I looked under misc>containers, which has only unlocked ones and though they just got bought up real fast.

do they every contain anything good? Or is it generally just random bullpoop in them?

i bought 6 containers once two of them contained yellow twin force crystals and an armor attachment

I looted a locked container from a force crystal huntert and was stupid enough to try and open it myself, which of course i failed. so now it says it cant be opened but if i trade it to someone can they open it? plz answer asap cuz im pretty pssed off at myself right now. Thanks

I'm assuming that only NPC's drop these, and in grinding my way halfway up the pistoleer tree i've only looted one locked container total....I just read a post where a guy has almost 150 locked containers so i'm just wondering what it is i should be killing to get locked containers to slice?

find missions for them too. a good 1k for your trouble aint to bad since they are cake to kill.

fastest way however to get containers is to buy them from people. or buy crates of CDEFs/ or other easy to make slicable things..

What planet do you need to be on to get the plasma thief missions?

Just started the grind for slicing and I need locked containers as well.

What level of missions are they? If they give 1k payout, I'm assuming its pretty low level.

I'm a master pistoleer and working up tka, so I am wondering if I can get the missions using a rifle or carbine, which I have very low skill in.

I am looking forward to becoming a smuggler. The idea of the proffesion sounds cool and I notice a distinct lack of them. Before i can start slicing though I will need some locked containers so to all on Farstar I am asking for locked containers, if I must I will also pay for them aswell.

The locked containers is a hoop all smugglers have to jump through. For me, the best way of getting them is to have friends always be on the lookout for them. Kill city thugs and what-not, they seem to drop them the most. Truth be told, I bought most of mine of the market for about 2-3k per container. Also, always use molecular clamps to make sure you don't waste the container.
