Yes, but the amount of complaining about Warcry II doesn't even come close to the amount of whining about TKA's UA KD II and that hasn't been nerfed yet.
This is some developer's personal pet peeve and that's the reason it's being changed. If it were completely up to the whiners, UA KD II would've been history long ago.
What it seems this might be meant to do is let you focus on one creature (in PvE) while the others ignore you for 10-20 seconds. Not sure what it can do in PvP. Perhaps the same?

In my opinion it was not required to do this, they should of implemented Warcry Defense clothing for pvpers .. but alas the whines of many once again screw over the few.

In it, people are talking about all the uber mobs they soloed by keeping mobs chain frozen with Warcry. Especially interesting is the guy who says he soloed a Krayt only getting hit 3 times or so between warcrys. Thats enough for him to heal up, and keep beating the dragon. I doubt SOE wants people doing that.
Im not exactly happy that Warcry is being changed like this, but its not just PvP tactics that were being affected by it. Its PvE too. Youll also notice that in the last few patches, anything that was described by the community as a means to "get around" the 30 sec timer on KD is being nerfed. Chargeshot (KD lite), Warcry... I wouldnt be surprised if Dizzy gets hit soon.
If the change is due to "freezing" high level mobs like Kryats, why the heck don't they just give resists to warcry to certain mobs. How easy a fix that would be.

easier to "fix" warcry rather then change the module for every creature that needs a warcry resist....
warcry 2 was not meant to be area effect - the devs may not even realize it is working aoe right now. if that is the case then that explains much of your frustration. if the design called for wc2 to be single target - to them this would be an upgrade at the same time as allowing them to stop people from permafreezing high level content. the idea being that they would be trading one uberuseful skill for a very useful skill. WC2 is damaged in their eyes.
The person that cliamed to have soloed a krayt with warcry2 and only getting hit3 times most likely a defense stacker with doctor buffs, good armor andchefs food. When the defense stacking is fixed and you still see a great need then nerf warcry2 but doing multiple nerfs withoutwaiting to see how they will effect the players will destroy what were once fun and worthwhile professions.
It appears that the same tactic that was used for the bleed nerf is going to be making me wonder why I even keep hope that the dev's sole purpose isn't to ruin this game.
o well that is my rant I guess I should just start ginding rifleman or combat medic ![]()
SoE, just leave Warcry alone would you please?
If you are so insistant on having a special that provides some level of "crowd" control, then instead of changing Warcry, create a new special. Seems pretty simple.
Ugh, this combat balance just makes me cringe a little bit more each time something is "tweaked".
I'll bring my issue on this in here too. Bleeds and auto attacks. We engage a mob, grouped or not, and my pikeman self gets surrounded. Pull out the area attacks, support lays down bleeds. I find the going to be a lil tough and use the 'new' warcry to back up and give myself some breathing room. Due to the fact I enter the scrap with my basic lance to land status changes, I Warcry and end up hitting my main target twice before the animation ends, one target has broken the delay before I even get a chance to peace out. So I pull out of the mix, main target now in tow, ok, 1 mob for the next 20 seconds will improve my survivability. The other 4 cannot attack, untill the bleeds that my carbineer put down tick on the other mobs and now their delay is broken. So all 5 are on me, or maybe just 3 and the other two rush my partner due to aggro off the bleed he set down.
So in a nut shell I effectively delay 4 mobs for about 5 seconds and one mob for 1 sec, the speed cap on my sliced basic. Now it would seem that I should just take all the points I just spent to get master brawler and go CH, because obviously Melee classes are not designed to tank.

Oh quit crying! A break to spice, heal and otherwise catch your breath is a great idea. And to those of you who are swordsman and can't solo mobs anymore becuase of this "nerf" you must be doing other things wrong, becuase when i was master swordsman i could tank 2 enraged rancor at one time and not need to use war cry ever. Only time i use war cry was during pvp. So don't worry people you can do without warcry.
