I believe the only reason they want to do this is to increase the feel of the game being "in the future" where melee combat is seen as unnecessary when I can pull a blaster on you at 64m. I guess it might make a big difference and make a little more sense when we see the overall picture and the other changes brought with the combat balance but until then this change makes little or no sense at all. Perhaps it was to stop the kd/warcry in pvp which irritated a lot of people but with more pressing unbalances (CM poison at 1k a tick) and such, this is just some devs trying to act busy and screw around with the game mechanics cause maybe they didn't have the intelligence or the courage to own up to a stupid idea like 1000 damage mind poisons.
To the guy that suggested this to the dev or the dev that came up with it; go screw ure-self. This was a stupid idea and has just managed to kill a perfectly balanced profession. Go do an proper check on ALL the professions and work on matters that are of more importance.

Please guys, stop worrying about PvP. With no warcry at allPvP would still be fine. I'd like to focus this thread on the PvE aspect of warcry, where we will be taking an enormous hit!
With this new warcry how will we be able to tank big mobs? NoticeI did not say solo. Tank them. We need to be able to be in front of our party standing up to large mobs so our healers and ranged users aren't taking damage. Warcry played a large part of our tanking ability. With this nerf warcry helps for crowd control, but doesn't help a bit against single tough mobs. How can we address this issue?
easy fix would have been a one minute timer.
warcry2 still be useful, but ppl get to attack for a lot of time.

Well, it IS broken. I agree that Warcry needs a nerf. ESPECIALLY in PvP. But we need something given back to replace our ability to tank large mobs and from what I hear nothing of the sort is in concept.
