Thread: Brawler TOP 5 issues currently?

Probably.
I don't think Jedi by the barrel continually coming to complain about brawlers is really included in the definition, though.

Oh... so because this problem affects Jedi as well, it's not a valid argument? If i'd said this was a problem for my Pikeman it would have been ok?
Just because you dislike Jedi for some reason (Most likely because you don't have one), then you can't have any valid reasons for complaining over a serious bug that affects everyone? Jedi or not.
I'd say you should wake up just a bit. Just because you obviously like the "I Win" button brawlers have been gives, doesn't make the issue any different. It's a bug. It's serious. It needed to be fixed one way or the other.

Everyone and their mother is using Intimidate and Warcry. I'ld delete it from the Novice Box andmove it to Master Box to keep dabblers from abusing it; it should only be reserved for the truly dedicated Brawlers. (noice brawlers should get something else to compensate their loss).
Intimidate and warcry success rate is rather low on Novice, and that's why people want to get Master Brawler.
Which is just spammed on the target so it makes no difference what so ever.
Mapai, a point that a lot of others have mentioned too: Warcry is used by everyone and their mother atm. This is gamebreaking, and it has been going on for so long now that PVP is suffering badly from it. I run a rather large guild/city atm, and i see quite often that people don't even wanna go on pvp, because so many is using this bug. It's not fun.
Since SOE obviously can't fix it, why can't it be disabled for pvp purposes? Then they can work on a fix while it's disabled, and then re-enable it once it's been fixed? Overall that should be a better way of handling it, than just leave it be for yet another month.
About Intimidate.. well.. intimidate is not the issue. that is working as intended. It's a powerfull skill if used correctly, yes.. but you can do something to avoid that. You can't vs warcrybug.
From a jedi point of view: Warcrybug = TKM attacks you =
"You have been delayed for 10/20 seconds". (Warcry1/2 is spammed on you)
"You feel dizzy!".
"You have been knocked down". (Knockdown2 slammed on you until it hits)
"You have been incapacitated by *insert name here*". (Unarmed Hit 3 until you incap. Hit3 vs a jedi that has no armor = quite a bit of damage, yet you can't heal)
"You have been slain by *insert name here*". (Game over. Still delayed btw)
Everyone knows it. Everyone and their mother uses it. I don't mind getting killed fair and square. But getting killed because some 13-year old "i-hate-my-father"-syndrome teenager that gets a hard on from killing knights because he found the "I Win Button", followed by the "PWNED NOOB"... that pisses me off.
And it pisses me even more off that despite countless "fixes" and such, it's still not fixed. Nor is it disabled until they can actually fix it.

Your top priority at the moment should be to fix Warcry. With that bug out its practically impossible to PvP. I do not think that Intimidate or Warcry should be removed from the game because when they are, "working as intended" they make a difference in the game. I don't think that there is any more issues with Brawler.
Are we even sure Warcry is broken? I've asked repeatedly if it is or not and can't seem to get an answer. I agree that it is very difficult to PvP with Warcry the way it is now, but the more and more time that passes with the Devs ignoring this, the more and more I think they never will...

Yes we are sure. Admittedly it seems to be broken in a different way each week. Currently we've cycled to the phase where it isn't breaking when a warcried target is attacked.

They've tried to fix it and they will try again. Maybe they'll succeed. Your statement would be more true if the skill were simply removed, which is why I can't agree with those people saying it should be.
On that note, i like the suggestion about intimidate having some sort of a timer on it instead of it being an easily spammed omnipresent staple in pvp. 66% damage reduction is freakin huge! Because of this if you dont have novice brawler you don't have much of a chance. Pistoleers, for one, already have their damage nerf enough, since they are given no equivilant or means to counter intimidate, 66% taken away from their damage is just too much.
Secondly, i dont mind intimidate blocking 66%. I would like to see it serving to make a pvp battle more complex and interesting. In its current state it is easily spammed and impossible to avoid (even if you are a jedi, healing intim takes 4 seconds, using intim takes 1 second, and any good pvper knows that an unintimidated jedi is certain death) this doesnt add to the pvp experiance because it is always there, unchanging and undynamic. If intimidate had restrictions on it, such as: delay between uses, or ,like knockdown, a delay between when it could stick, or instead of having just the range of using intim be 30 meters make it so leaving the 30 meter radius of your target would clear the intimidate (people are less intimidating from far away in RL, haha). I am just trying out ideas but there are all sorts of options. If these restrictions were in place you would find brawlers using intimidate at clutch moments, when it is most benificial (thus using a diverse strategy) rather than spamming it and making it an ever-present part of pvp.
Hopefully someone makes sense of this.
Well, here is a serious issue with Intimidate that obviously hasn't been noticed from the lack of threads i can find on it.
Using Intimidate 1 or 2, when you watch the combat spam, it appears that once in a while, a blow hits you for full damage, even though the mob(s) is(are) intimidated.
I have tested this on numerous occasions, and it continues to be a problem.
I will try and grab a combat log of this to show.
While some may find this a non issue. For those of us who enjoy fighting things unbuffed, it is a major problem.
Those who say "well just go and get buffed then" THAT is NOT a solution. That is a work around that should not need to be continued forever more.
Please have this brought up in your Correspondant forum, as this is one issue that is really going to affect a lot of players in the CURB.
