To me Master Brawler is essential for TKA just for Intimidate 2, it lasts a lot longer, and it's very effective, Warcry 2 used to be really good till everything broke it, but still you can't beat 20 second delay.

Well im jumping on the defence stackig bandwagon as soon as i return to this game so i too will be master brawler yet again. I would definately say that it is well worth having but i dont feel that it is as strong as the "melee profession of your choice" + "doc 4 0 3 0" + "Fencer 4 4 0 0" as this template allows superior defence, all the healing power of master doctor - the buffs and whichever damage dealing melee proff that you choose (ive had pikes tkm and swords in there in the past)

If you are considering pve though, the only thing that matters is that you can heal your self a little and that you pick an ok damage dealing class with the right damage types for what you want to hunt.

The best part about Master Marksman... is that you have access to every damage type except Blast, Electricity, and Lightsaber, so you should almost always be able to do *some* damage to a target. I wish the Brawler weapon certifications included a few mixed damage types, but meleers don't gain access to non-kinetic damage until Novice Elite skills.

Don't forget for swordsman and pikeman that bonus accuracy is a great plus. Allows you to use the less accurate weaponry sooner without waiting till you get through your accuracy set of boxes.

Mastering Brawler is a must for a fencer atleast, it gives them a KD, intimidate 2 which is EXTREMELY powerful, warcry 2 when you are outnumbered.. all these makes it extremely worthwhile for fencer and all the other melee skills to.

Medic is becoming more and more important when going for elders and such. May even want to do Doc. master swords, Master brawler

A doctor isn't any better at healing damage than a master medic, the doc prof focuses on healing wounds, buffing (which is tied to wound healing) and state healing. Doc is fantastic as a tie in if you need the state defenses (and poison/disease cures) and makes a master melee prof a lot better as a tank... but if you just want really good damage stims you dont need to go all the way to doc.

I just dropped master doc, and currently have master TK, and master Brawler and am loving it (while adding master fencer). Dueled a TKM/M Smuggler yesterday and was able to go for 10 minutes straight without him being able to do anywhere near as much damage to me.. I ended up with 700 BF and he had 900, he couldn't touch any of my HAM bars significantly enough to worry me, even when I was KD'd. I had him at 1/2 mind when we quit, he had mind buffs, brandy and Muon in him (I had mind buffs and brandy).

I figure another 5 more minutes of me pounding on him would have netted a win, which is a change over our duels from before I picked up master brawler where it was a lot more even in damage outlay.

So, after my nice long ramble, master brawler is definately worth it in my book... yes I miss self-buffs and yes I miss state and poison/disease cures, but my violence output is dramatically higher

I miss my Master Brawler. TKM/Master Brawler/Ranger 0,0,3,0 was my favorite template. Int II and UA Lunge II are very nice.

I am master brawler/master swordsman/master CH, and i love it... I know i'm not any good at PvP... never was in any game. But i love intimidate 2, and the lunge2 KD. very useful when combined with 2h melee hit 3 which adds dizzy
