I really like the stances idea, but I do see the conflict with CoB and Berserk. Berserk is useless though. The only time I used it was when I was going up the trees, because I had no really useful attacks that could do more damage at the same rate of speed. I think instead of having two stances, maybe have two of each. For example:
At novice brawler~
Defensive stance one: The fighter gaines a significant boost to dodging, blocking, countering, and a slight increase to melee and ranged defense. In turn their speed is reduced as well as their damage. The user also runs at a much slower pace than usual.
Offensive stance one: The fighter gaines a significant boost to speed and damage, and a slight increase to their running speed. In turn their abilities to dodge, block, counter are reduced and they lose a little bit of melee and ranged defense.
At master brawler~
Defensive stance two: The fighter gaines a very significant boost to dodging, blocking, countering, and a significant increase to melee and ranged defense. In turn they can not use specials, their speed and damage is reduced, and the user cannot run.
Offensive stance two: The fighter gaines a very significant boost to speed and damage, and a significant boost to their running speed. In turn the user loses their abilities to dodge, block, and counter, and they lose a bit ofmelee and ranged defense.
Kinda to further distinct our role as tanks and as damage dealers. Helps out the kiting problem a little but not overpowering us. Plus the devs could possibly add some cool new animations.
Center of Being and Berserk would probably be tossed out if "stances" were put into the game, but as Center of Being has to be renewed every half a minute and Berserk is useless when you hit the top boxes I think it would be a nice trade.

I'd like to see an improvement of Melee Weapon Powerups. Its unfair that Ranged Pups can have Max, Min, and Speed as the main attribute, but Melee Pups cannot.

I find that I use berserk alot, mainly on lairs, as it makes you do more than double damage. Very useful indeed.

you guys hit most of the important parts already so I will cover one thing that I feel brawler is lacking:
states.
We have alot of states we can put on the other guy, but we suck at doing so. how about +5 to stun every unarmed box?
+5 to dizzy every one-handed box? +5 to intimidate every two handed box? something like that so our status effects stick without us having to kill ourselves trying to make them stick.
how much HAM should we loose for FAILING to go berserk? it is ridiculous, and it hurts so very much.

How about a reduction in the weapon switching delay at Master Brawler?

1. I'd like a one shot kill attack. It would grant full xp and each time it is used the now dead monster/npc drops acklay bones.
2. I'd like the ability to wield a lightsaber. It's a melee weapon too darn it!
3. I'd like to get +100 toughness in each box. We shouldn't be hurt at all.
4. I'd like for center of being to work so well that I never get hit, regardless of my skillpoints other than brawler and weapon used.
5. I'd like for everyone to realize I made this post as a joke since I know Mapai on Intrepid

All that sounds pretty good. more damage types in all trees. Pistols have a lot of damage types just for marksman alone.
Mapai wrote:
- Warcry: As it is warcry is much less effective than it should be, requiring a brawler to essentially kite a group of mobs to effect them with this skill. Making it AoE would greatly improve it's performance.
- HAM Costs: The HAM costs associated with Warcry, Intimidate, Taunt, and Berserkare all high. Coupled with a high failure rate even at master and while using Bio-enhanced clothing. Decreasing cost or increasing success rates would be helpful.
- Polearm Toughness: This is +4 in the Brawler tiers 3 and 4, compared to the +10 in One-handed, Two-handed, and Unarmed, making aspiring Polearm wielders significantly less durable than their counterparts.
- Unarmed damage is too low in Brawler, it is easily outmatched at every tier by the armed Brawler classes. Moving damage and/or speed down from TKN would greatly improve the experience. Also, adding in a low level Unarmed weapon (ie Brass Knuckles - no fancy technology here) would be a favorable addition.
- Most Brawler weapons are unused because they lack an attribute that would make them situationally better than another. This is especially true in One-handed and Two-handed. Altering speed, damage, armor piercing, or other portion of the weapon would help to provide each with a different role.
- Change the One-handed 4 title to Apprentice Fencer, and Two-handed 4 title to Apprentice Swordsman for consistency with other titles.
- Adding additional damage types to the different trees would be welcome
- Change Berserk2 to allow specials, or to be turned off when you use it. As it is, at th level a player recieves it it is lesseffective than using several specials, as well as preventing a Brawler from executing a move such as a: Knockdown, Intimidate, Warcry, inflicting a status effect through an attack. These may be the difference between life and death.
