Hello
I only have something to say about the visibility system:
Since a Jedi is a "Lonly Grinder" which anoyes me so bad that i was thinking of dropping padawan just to have my main char back into the normal "SWG Life" and be able to do something with my friends.Well ú might say i have a Second Char which i can use but that is not the point.I didnt play 14month SWG and collected nearly all badges, filled my house with valuable Loots ´n Stuff to represent it with my 2nd char whos a "NoName".Iwould like to be able playing my Main Char with my friends like i was before beeing padawan (except doing NPC Missions/quest).To finish my template and beeing Knight one day is very far away and i have to sacrifice beeing grouped with my buddiesto do some hunts/missions etc. cuz of this visibility system.Instead giving each player the possibility to "Report" a jedi i think its a better idea giving the jedi the possibility in same way to "Trust This Player" or "BeFriend" option or something like thiswhich the other player has to "Acept" or "Admit" whichshould havethe effect of not giving visibility automaticly like it does at the moment. This should be only for a limited amount of players/friends.I am/the jedi is able to have some fun with his friends.I mean atm its like Yoda would give visibility too to Luke just cuz of teaching him how to use the force lol.All my friends who arent jedi hate it so bad i cant even do nothing with my Char with them and it forces me to make my 2nd Char to a combat profession aswell just can play SWG with them. And it isnt the same changing the char.I worked hard on my main char and i love him =).I would prefer having the Freedom of choosing what ever i want like a merchant or entertainer.I see that this idea would only work as long no other player or NPC gives me Visibility but at least i could do creature missions with them and everyone can help each other. Its so boring beeing all the time allone while grind or try to earn cash on low level missions since the group/reward nerf =/.Prolly this idea has some holes i dindt see or thinked about. But beeing able to play SWG with my main Char in a group with Friends who never would report me should be possible in some way.
Just a idea
Edit:
Dont think im wrong here cuz i am padawan.
My first Hybrid Profession was a BH cuz i imagined the thrill hunting jedis.
But its about 12 month ago and beeing BH to that time was realy poor.I had to hunt my marks on a kaduu cuz there werent speeders in game...alsobarely no jedis lol.
But it was still fun till one day...but that is another story. /wink

i didn't read through all the replies but here are my thoughts-
it would be way too easy for jedi to stay off the terminals under this system. jedi should receive visibility for having a saber out or doing any jedi abilities in front of any other players and any npc's. if only opposing faction npc's, voluntary players, and imperial npc's reported them, there would be no jedi missions. let's face it- i'm an active bh and 90% of the jedi i kill are grouped with friends or showing off in player cities. these are situations that would never get the jedi on the boards under the proposed system. might sound too strict on the jedi to you, but there are already WAY too many jedi around and this is the very least that can be done to attempt to suppress them. i kinda like the bh's being able to kill each other idea, and if smugglers wind up on the terminals that's just more fun for us to have hunting them, and probably an easier takedown than most jedi. however, once a bh is killed by a fellow bh, what if he could keep the mission and his TEF on his rival, and try to catch up and get his proof back before it is delivered? there are some situations that would lead to clone zerging which would have to be thought out and avoided if this was added.

OK I loved your ideas for this apart from the fact that it's too harsh on BHs I'd think that most BH would actually kill eachother if they htought the risk was too big. Thus look at Jango and Zim in AotC.
There was however something that was greatly over looked. That being the Factional bounties...
How this would work is similar to Jedi visability but slightly different.
This would also add to the GCW and immersion factors.
The BHs would be sent after these ranked members of opposite alignments (you wouldn't have a rebel killing a rebel or imp killing an imp. They'd have to be outside contracters). And the number of BHs sent after a player would increase as their rank and FP intake increase.
Say a Private can have no BHs yet the next rank up can have 1 and only one BH looking for them whereas a Colonel can have up to say 30 BH looking for them.
Of course factional members who keep a low profile won't get visability given to them. Thus a slow decay of it similar to jedi but longer.
Also a PLayer who has a BH kill them looses a rank in their Faction. Thus there would be some prestige in staying colonel instead of just grinding there and getting nothing.
Maybe some differences on these ideas might be good as I'm typing this at 5:30 in the morning

need a way where more than just smugglers can get on the terminals. some difficult high paying missions maybe that failure means u are on the terminals.
not just combat, but other types of missions as well.

though if we bring crafters and entertainers into the worl of combat it's not really fair.
NPC missions that fail or you rip them off should get on the terminals say?
A fail doesn't mean death otherwise that's stupid, a bounty on someone who is already dead...
EDIT: artisans are crafters

I like most of the ideas, but it was never intended for a single BH to be able to successfully beat a Jedi. This would have to either be accompanied by a HEAFTY revamp of BH, making it MUCH more powerful, or some type of formal ability to group with a limited number of players to assist in the mission.
I would suggest a system that incorporates the same tye of code used in group missions now whereby a bounty hunter who is taking a mission is presented with a window that allows him to group up with an appropriate number of people (to be determined) to form an official hunting party of sorts. All members of this group will only function as support for the BH, and will be unable to attack the Jedi untill the Bounty Hunter has innitiated combat actions.
Just a vague suggestion... Hope somebody likes at least some part of it.

ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE BH TERMINALS. 2 REASIONS FOR THIS.
1. So they can see who is on the terminals, but not take missions.(kinda dumb in retrospect, but i cant be bothered deleting it)
2. So they can Pay to place a bounty on another players head. (minimum of 250K)

With all due respect, has any of your ideas EVER been impelempted in game?
I HAVE to say, I've read a fair few of your posts and your ideas and without a doubt they have been fantastic.
There is never a Bias to the profession in discussion, you mostly have a lot of answers before the questions are asked.
All top stuff, and I have to agree MOSTLY with the "When a Jedi\smuggler\bounty hunter is reported by another player, he should hear a distinct, yet subtle and unannoying sound"
Especailly the jedis, at his point they have no early warning system whatso ever, thank god grp ganking is soon to be a thing of the past!
Must state, I DO have a jedi slot, I've NEVER been ganked, although HAVE been attacked 3 times (killed once) but I feel SO sorry for the player I see being attacked from every possible angle by what has become to be known as a gank squad, its awful to watch!
I don't bother too much with my jedi slot (too lazy!) been having a better time leveling up my unlock.
But to ask the question I started with, has any of your suggestions ever been used, no matter how subtle?
