Folks like me do not get to make those kind of calls. People who script/code arevery similar toplumbers. If the bosses wantsus to put a toilet in the center of the living room, we redirect the pipes, dig a hole and install that toilet in the center of the living room. I may be able to put one of those cakes in it that turns the water blue, but that toilet is going in the center of the living room.

Still sporting the bh tag I see? Very nice. Would you care to post this analogy in the Jedi forums? I mean, it surely would calm them down seeing as they see the toliet swirling analogy already.

At least now I can use the toilet and watch TV at the same time since I'm not in game 'playing' Jedi.

Oh man, now I have to explain how that toilet got there with the pretty blue water. =P
Tiggs, we jst want to know who ordered them to put the toilet there, why said person thought the toilet needed to be there, and their plans for the rest of the house...
The rest of the house is still under discussion. The toilet works better there and compliments the garage that will be moved their next. =P
Been over 2 years!?!?! I want a new contractor!
then take your whining to another contractor like WoW or CoH, or any other contractors out there. If you feel that way but still play it's your own fault.

I am a paying customer, it is my right to whine about a poor product. And your a minority in this I'm afraid.
Not to mention if she is able to use a comedy analogy, then so am I.

I feel you here Blixtev, although I am not a game developer (client/server apps here), I completely understand this statement. I have see a lot of posts saying that the devs need to step up and say "This isn't right", well, I am sure you guys do. What the general public fails to understand is this, it doesn't do any good. There are politics and ego's at work here.
The problem is way above the "code monkey's", even above the"code monkey's"managers. There is an executive calling the shots and its pretty obvious he/she is completely out of touch with their customers and it's sad. The thing that is more sad than that is the fact they don'thave a cluehow out of touch they really are. The constant review of revenue figures blinds executive level management and keeps them from seeing "what could be" instead of "what is".
Any more licks mate? You obviously did not work in a development company before...
Bosses never tells you details, they tell you final image, in this case "They wanted a toilet in the house", it is Developers decision where to put it or make its water blue or not. Developers / coders are paid to think details..
Boss wants an Expansion in an X theme, and they dont care if Y item drops from there or Z location has good spawns or R proffession overrides others. Its all DEVELOPERS..
Why bosses talk here is because they have to face community because of Developments idiotic decisions.
That's a very telling statement.

OWK did not beat the best BH in the galaxy. It was a stalemate. Jango Fett took out a few Jedi before his jetpack failed and Mace beheaded him. Let's look at this a second...
Obi-Wan had Jango pinned as would have apprehended himif Boba did not shoot blaster cannons from the Slave ship (how everyone dismisses this is laughable). Jango did NOT take out a few Jedi, he shot Coleman Trebbor when Coleman was pre-occupied on the suprised Dooku (Coleman was a Consular, they are not known for fighting since their Form 6 is a diplomatic style, also some say in EU writings now that Dooku had some stasis like effect on Coleman since he could not draw saber in time which aided Jango)
Obi-Wan Kenobi... at this time in the movies, was already a Jedi Master. Jango Fett brought a Jedi Master to a stalemate. During the Genosian battle Jango Fett killed multiple Jedi with ease and I do believe that the one that was attacking Dooku on the balcony was actually a Jedi Master and was a part of the council. Mace Windu, also a Jedi Master was able to kill Jango because of damaged equipment.
Obi-Wan did NOT become a Jedi Master until the Clone Wars Cartoons. He was not a master, he was only a Knight at this time. In order to become a Knight, you had to have a Padawan to become a successful Knight. Again, watch the damn movies, he did not kill "multiple with ease". He killed Coleman Trebor who was at a vulnerable state via Dooku. Coleman was a Consular not a Master. A Consular are the "psychiatrist diplomat" Jedi. Read up on Jedi Consulars and you will see they were never heavily trained for fighting, only diplomacy.
So we know that the best BH in the galaxy has at least a50% success rate in killing Jedi Masters and he tied once. With that being said, Jedi Knights would be a walk in the park for him. Which means that since there is no FRS, there are no Masters and there for, The Jedi should be dropping like flies.

Well you may want to watch the movie again hehe. Obi-Wan was only a Knight and Jango only killed one jedi not a master either. To badJango got trampled by the same animal that had just ran into Mace Windu and knock his LS out of his hand. You were right the on Jedi he did kill was attacking Dooku so he was blind sided by Jango and killed. But 1 on 1 with Mace Windu,Jango drop like a fly not a very impresive fight may have laster 6 seconds at most. His weapon still work he only lost his jetpack not many of them in the game,Not many jetpacks in teh game any way. Oh bye the way how many top BHs do you think should be in the game at one time since in the movies it was only one at a time. While we are on the subject how do you think we should rate BHs so we could have this one elite BH.
Exactly... the pot shouldnt call the kettle black.
Every single BH that was in the movies died. If you read the Star Wars books of the Original Trilogy, Boba killed off the other BHs in order for him to be the one to reach Han Solo. It was acompetition. That is where this game lacks its integrity and depth.

I feel this game is going in the wrong direction for the long term players. I understand that the goal of this game, from SOEs point of view, is to make money. I also am aware that every time a new expansion is released to the public it brings in tons of new subscriptions. The suggestion that I make will encourage new players to stay with the game, and hopefully make SOE some money, prolonging the life of this game.
I love star wars and this game. I see the biggest problem here, and only a few others seem to see it too. I know people don’t want to hear it, but the Jedi profession is what is ruining the game.
The most common thing I see Jedi supporters say is “this is star wars; I want to be a Jedi.” Unfortunately with the title of Jedi there are some expectations. A Jedi should be more powerful than the average person, so that is how the developers try to implement it. That is what will keep this game from being balanced.
Jedi are here to stay, they will not be removed from the game, and that isn’t what I am asking for, or suggesting. We have learned to ignore the timeline issues, as there should be no visible Jedi in this MMO because of its location on the Star Wars timeline. My suggestion takes this ignorance and moves it one step further.
The suggestion I have is to make the Jedi profession the same as all the other professions in the game. Do not require them to grind unbelievable amounts of experience points, make them into a normal profession. I see something like a core profession with the current Jedi trees moved into the location of elite professions branching off the core.
If you reduce the cost of being a Jedi, you will not have the balance issues because they will have no need to be any stronger than any other profession. This will allow for better game design in all aspects of the game and it will not scare off people who join the game just to be Jedi.
This will allow the content level to be brought down to a place where everyone can enjoy all of it. You will not have to cater to two different groups of people. Everything can actually be balanced again, like it was when the game was first released, before there were any Jedi.
This brings me to the next topic on how to help fix this game. The combat upgrade took a lot of content / game play away from the average player with one account. You have to make a choice, you are a crafter, or you are a fighter/healer. Since the ability to have more than one character per server is already in game, as shown with the character unlocked when you become a Jedi, this extra character should be given to everyone so no one who has one account can miss out on any part of the game. Sure you can make another character on a different server. Unfortunately that solution does not work. People build relationships with other people on their server. Most people do not want to spend time on another server with different people after they get to know the people on their current one.
The village is still a great idea, very useful. As we are living in a Star Wars galaxy, the force is alive and well. If any person dedicates themselves to mastering a profession they should begin to sense the force and control it a bit to help with the things they do best. I can even see more trees being added that could be selected to really customize your characters. The only difference is these trees wouldn’t be forced upon anyone, as a means to get somewhere else. The small bonuses themselves would be the reward.
I think this post has gone on long enough. I have been playing since September 2003. I have 5 accounts and one is a Jedi. I have seen this game go through a lot of changes and I hope to see it go through a lot more.10-21-200510:59 PM

Jedi have been in the game from the beginning just not many people knew how they got theres. But there were Jedi before the Holos. I began playing the game tring to figure out how to be a Jedi and I was not the only one. So to try to say that Jedi ruined the game is lame. The forced PvP, and combat rating system of the CU has cost most problems try beign a pure crafter and surveying CL1 do not live long out there hehe. Take out forced PvP and most would not care as much about how good another profession was (unless they only play the game for PvP). Anyone playing this game only for PvP can then chose a good PvP profession and fight with others that like that all they want.
