I wonder how many times we will pull the mission for the same cantina sitting Jedi?

Why is it that it's only Tanks and I who seem to forsee the house/cantina sitter AFK Jedi burning visibility inside private structures assomething that's going to be a majorproblem? This scenario is going to waste an IMMENSE amount of time. Maybe no other BH's see this as a problem because they only hunt in gank squads and have never gone after a random Jedi mission. Butonce you go hunt post Patch 20, you will see thatthis is what happens the vast majority of the time: you waste 20 minutes tracking a Jedi off planet to be locked inside of a private structure.

There are going to be two major top issues come post Patch 20:

(1) House Sitters --Jedi AFK inside of private structures.

and

(2) Kashyyk Jedi -- Untrackable by droids and untrackable by human intelligence because droids do not work on Kash, and identity will not be known until you tab-target the Jedi.

I go AFK inside a private hospital to clear wounds, not visability. Not everyone does it for the reason you give, so don't be ignorant.Very difficult to find a doctor these days, and medics are no help when it comes to wounds.

Have you tried sending your mark a tell and asking them if they would like to play the game with you? If they do not want to play the game with you, then grow up and find someone that does wish to play the game with you. It is that simple. If they sit afk in a private house so they can heal wounds, get a meal, use the bathroom, or whatever, it is their account and their choice. You have no say in the matter as they have no say in the matter if you wish to go afk for a bit some where. That would be your account and your choice.

If there is a problem with visability being lost while afk then that is a seperate issue that would need to belooked at.It is my understanding that visibilityis lost be it on line or not, after all visability is cleared after 3 weeks, be it longed in or out.

The moment you clicked the "yes" button and became a padawan you agreed to "play the game with me".

Actually jedi BH missions was added in after I purchased the game. I never clicked a button to play with you specificially. The BH/Jedi system is slowly being widdled away and will soon go away due to additudes such as 'you must play with me even if you don't want to'. Good sportsmanship is always welcomed as is a good fight. The bad apples in the BH profession are doing a very good job of making that system go away. If BHs continue to make problems after this publish, expect to see an opt-in for people to choose to be or not to be on the terminals rather than an automatic one. The jedi population is quickly becoming SOEs main player base and they will do what they can do keep that player base.

My suggestion is to not abuse the system or it will go away.

Jedi missions have always been in the game. They may not have worked properly, but they were in-game even before you became a Jedi. Also I'm pretty sure the opt-in "warning" you get when you clicked "yes" to become a padawan asks you if you want to play with me, and I'm pretty sure you clicked yes.

Actually there is no 'yes button' as you describe it. I suggest you play up to padawan to have a full understanding of the process. You will find this is no warning and things can and do change in a live game.

I'm pretty sure you knew before you accepted your padawan robes that you would have to play with bounty hunters even if you didn't feel like it. I'm pretty sure you agreed to it as well. Feigning ignorance now won't change it.

BTW, I'm glad your Jedi is on Starsider.

We'll probably be given the name of the mark at some point during the mission - it just won't be at the start anymore. I suspect it may be when you use a seeker on the target planet.

Of course there must be a solution for Kashyyyk, otherwise it will be impossible to find a mark there if you even don't know the name.

Similar to the solution on the broken BE tailor tissues? Don't fool yourself into thinking they implement solid ideas OR solid code at SOE.

Ignorance is believing things won't change or there is some button I pressed. It used to be perma death and saber tef. Now it is BH terminals. Down the road? Who knows, but I don't see them keeping the BH terminal thing for too much longer, it causes too many problems. Those problems are all on the BH hands. They are the ones that initiate the confrontations and are hence the cause of the problem.

BTW if you hunt jedi on starsider a lot, chances are I've already killed you. But I don't keep a list, have no need to stroke an small ego.

Just stop trying to fix a bad system and take it out of the game entirely.

BH's should never have been able to hunt jedi from the beginning, its bad for the game (granted with perma death having been on the slate you lost out easily on half a million subscribers), now its even worse, just get rid of it. The experiment failed, give up. Not that anyone with any experience didn't realize it was going to fail from the outset but we all have to learn somewhere.

BH's hunting jedi is griefing, thats the only purpose to it. The BH has nothing to lose, the jedi can only lose. This was idiotic enough to have implemented in a game when everyone ran around solo, now with grouping being viable a BH shows up and attacks a group mate the rest of us need to stand around till its over.

Just get rid of it entirely. Don't try and fix a bad system. Don't try and make it less stupid, don't try and iron out any technical issues and see if that 'makes it better' its a bad idea. get rid of it. And whomever thought of it in the first place, fire them and only give them a good recommendation if they apply to work at EA sports in china.

This game no longer has the luxury of catering to griefers the way it did pre wow, EQ2 and guildwars. It shouldn't have then because it wiped out from a getgo a huge possible chunk of the playerbase, but now you need to salvage whats left, which is the more pressing concern. Cut out the forced PVP on jedi, stick on a new graphics engine like the one EQ2 has (good scalable, try and keep compatibility with non T&L video cards), fix the interface, add 3 new ships, move the timeline post episode 6 so you have more leeway with the story, launch it all as an expansion, get the geeks. Star wars had 40 million people see it, (in north america), Sony would be lucky if it managed to sell 400k copies of the game, yet wow manages what is growing to 3 million people.

NOT true...a Jedi MUST attack a BH in order to gain a TEF. This is why the "peace macros" were so popular Pre-CU.

Read Blix's comment again. Now, the Jedi gets TEF'd regardless of whether he fights or flees.

Let's read it again...together:

Opposing factional TEF and "bounty hunter TEF" are applied to both combatants as soon as any of the combatants attacks.

I MAY stand corrected...I read this to mean if I'm overt and the Jedi is overt while I have the Jedi mission...the "Opposing factional TEF" works with the BH TEF to eliminate the need for the Jedi to attack back in order to result in a TEF preventing the Jedi from entering a structure. However, BOTH conditions must apply. The missions and the faction status of overt.

I read it to mean...if you are reb-sf and another is imp-sf...if one attacks the other...both get the opposing factional TEF, even if the one being attacked does not attack back. Prohibiting either from entering player structures. The same for bh vs jedi. Two separate things being summed up in one sentence.

Wouldn't it have been better to adjust group visibility? Then BH and Jedi could all be happy. It just seems to me that every publish that goes live SOE cuts off thier nose to spite thier face. All I see this doing is creating an even bigger rift between the Jedi and BH players.

I agree with you here, and posted that suggestion at least a couple of times. Kinda strange they didn't implement it, since they said it needed to be addressed at Fan Fest.

This would not address the kash afk/LOS grinding issue. they need to remove vis from group members, AND drastically lower xp for anybody over clvl 54 on cash.... but still retain the difficulty of the quests. Probably wont happen though.

Enlighten me, please. I haven't found these afk jedi on kash. I play shadowfire. Where is this at?

The way I figure it, we are Bounty Hunters, and a mark is a mark, regardless of faction.

Kill them all, and let the force sort them out...
