In this instance it obviously was since it compelled you to come here and whine about it.

Again the point is that no other profession has a cast iron, guarenteed "You can't kill me" button.

Yes other professions can use duelist stance, armor, roots, knockdowns or whatever but we can still die. As a CM if I get attacked I can stand still in my armour and spam bacta jab/toss/spray with my duelist stance going, but I'll run out of mind very quickly regardless of food and healing efficiency. There is no skill that I have that can replace my mind faster than I can use it continously healing. What we have here is essentially "God Mode" and IMO that is unbalancing.

If a Jedi runs and escapes or cloaks that is fair enough, if a Jedi beats a BH that is fair enough too. What does seem unfair and unbalancing is that one particular profession is completely unbeatable without having to do anything other than press a button to run a macro. No BH wants a Jedi to fall at his feet, most want a good chase and a good fight, they're in it for the sport not the money or the greifing.

As i said before you can laugh and call anyone who complains about this a whiner, but if you abuse the game mechanics like this you will end up with another nerf.

Jedi have been nerfed enough already, mainly because a small number of them find ways around the games mechanics/physics to give themselves an unfair advantage (abuse of cloak in places like the DWB etc). This leads to heavy handed across the board responses form SOE in the form of nerfs.

By all means keep abusing the aura/valour/heal bug, but you will only have yourself to blame when it is "fixed" by nerfing one or more parts of aura, valour or heal thus making jedi even weaker.

LMAO, funny post, here's what you're facing: Defender > Ranged, MCM > Defender. No Jedi are invulnurable to everything, and force doesn't regen that fast, it's ridiculously slower than it used to be pre CU.

And no I'm not the FOTM Defender, just a fact that Defender can stand all day against the ranged professions. Funny that you took out 95 of them and suddenly you pick a defender that knows how to use his defenses and come make this thread?

Exactly.

MDEFs > Ranged BH's

MCM's > MDEF's

You get a CM, stick a MDEF with all his Debuffs, and then chuck on some fire and poison. The MDEF will go down hard.

acctually if your smart you can out smart the mcm as i do. im not a master def only 444x but i have found ways to counter the mcm. one hopefully you are on a planet with water if not your screwed. but basiclly when he throws his fire on you run to water it cancels out the fire then all you have to worry about is his every so often hit and the poison. and as far as his thiroid ruptue (i think thats the speed debuff cant remember) if you dont use speed food or have a speed buff from doc or in my case enh tree along with mls, thier speed debuff barely effects me. dont get me wrong i can still see a dif but not that much.

Assuming you're always around water and always have a doctor handy... lucky you.

I wish Jedi would stay over in their own part of the forum instead of going intoEVERYCAREER and complaining and being insultingabout what someone had to say..

Anyone new to this game do me a favor and check around the other professions forums.. It will take you all of 5 minutes to see what i am saying.

Jedi that start losing are now doing this to me all the time. It's the MLS Defender types (known because of saber throw knockdown and aura). So what they do is they don't attack, they just regen force and mind while standing there and sometimes kneeling. So with aura up you don't do enough damage to completely take them out. They keep healing, their force regens more than they use and their mind doesn't stay down long enough to finish it.

I'm a good Jedi hunter. Jedi have a hard time killing me. I've taken out 95 of them all by myself. I run them out of force and mind because Im good with my roots and knockdowns and intimidate. I actually fight. I move, change up my attacks and put thought into it. So why reward those for the most mindless tactic?

I don't think it's right that just because of a flaw in game mechanics they can regen force faster than they use it even with heals and aura, while regening mind because other than that theyare doing nothing at all.

Is doing nothing the best tactic for a Jedi?

It gets old for Jedi getting blamed for every reason you can't kill us besides us JUST BEING BETTER THAN YOU. We will defend ourselves when attacked.

i haven't been killed in a long time and when/if that day comes i will not cry explot.

That is call channel force. Regen force faster than they can use it is not true. You need to get your information straight.

None of our gun skills are a guarenteed kill "I win" button, neither do non jedi have a guarenteed "You can't kill me" button.

I'm all for Jedi being 1.5 x more powerful than regular professions, thats the fun in hunting them. The fact that any profession can become invincible at the push of a button to me seems slightly unbalancing and is probably agianst what SOE has in mind.

None of the BH as of yet have posted an idea of how to beat someone using this macro. If there is no way to beat someone using the macro then the chances are the Devs will change the game mechanics which will be a bad thing for the majority of Jedi who don't abuse it.

If a BH found a way to guarentee a kill every time I'm sure the Jedi community would be upsets and rightly so. PvP is about skill and tactics not merely pressing a button to make you invulnerable.

the only way you could handle a defender like this is with a special weapon crafted to use against defenders, with as high as possible minimum damage (and elemental if applicable).

this weapon will have high sac, but as you'll be alternating ranged and placed shot every second that shouldn't be an issue

your double capped FWG only has an unpupped min damage of 336 right?

anyhow...I'm doing some tests on my WS, once I'm happy with the result I'm gonna do some test with the min.dam weapon vs. a "regular" double capped FWG on a m defender mate....but I'm pretty confident the high min. weapon will prevail...

now I'm only left wondering why channel does not get interrupted when you're being shot at.......
