Thread: BH Top issues -- UPDATED 9/12/05--

I'm level 36 BH 3333 with some dabblings in medic and other combat professions. Now I can't use my scatter pistol (or my FWG5 for that matter)orlaser carbine, which leaves me with my LLC which sucks now. My level is too high to get easy BH missions and too low to handle what I can get. I can't do regular missions and expect to get any xp cause everything I see to kill is level 16-22. For the time being all my income comes from missions, and I can't do missions worth anything cause the level is too high. The ones I can do are worth 1k creds max. What gives?!?!
It would be nice to get some mid level weapons and enemies/missions. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but imo I don't think I should have to travel to themost obscurecorners of the galaxy to find simple mid-level missions.
This whole combat level thing sucks with it being entirely based off of your character as a whole. Things were much better when each weapon had its own level and the xp you gained was based off of that.
I'm reduced to trying to squeek out enough xp for low level marksman and scout skills and respec them to BH since I can't get any real XP. I know I could get more if I grouped up with a bunch of people, but I don't much care for that, I like doing my own thing. That's the whole point behind BH, going solo.

I have gone MBH,MR,pistols -4-4 and marksman 4-44...this has given me root, underhand, and kneecap...all of which stop, or hinder the mark. Also cover with sniper is good for an initial hit IF you are grouped. Dont try this tactic on a lone hunt the uber fast jedi will be on your head before you have a chance to stand up.

Hey man...YOU ARE NOT A JEDI! Your place in the SWG is cannon fodder for the almighty gods of SWG! So bow down and take it like a man! Sorry but it does tend to get aggrivating...the jedi scream like a stuck pig and get everything handed to them....we are still asking for fixes from pre-cu bugs and get NADA...talk about red headed step children...sheesh...
But, if I were you I would find a BH guild to help you grind and assist you in getting actual experiance...

It would be sweet if you could use a different name for a llimited time period. Since a lot of the more proficient BH's are known to the jedi, they could stalk them incognito and catch them at a point when they can't run in a house or lake etc.

What about this for an idea:
A new BH and smuggler skill that allows you to "blend in" in a busy cantina, similar to something the BH at the beginning of EP2 did to escape obi-wan and anakin. It would be a skill that lasts for a limited but useful amount of time (maybe 5-10 mins) before you get discovered, you would be able to reuse it after a couple of mins of cooldown time. Using it in combat would be limited to having no states on you and be over about 60-90m from the attacking target. I think this would be useful for the BH to set up ambushes in a cantina and useful to smuggler if they are ever able to gain a bounty. (obviously it would have to be restricted only to cantinas with a good amount of players inside of so its realistic).
What do you think?

Bomb droids do not do any damage, this hurts droid engineers as much as it does BH, since that was a huge part of their business and about the only droids that need to be replaced.
Duelist stance should be able to be used while moving, BH is primarily ranged so having to stop to turn on duelist stance makes it useless as the jedi/melee guy will catch you up quicker. If it was comparable to force aura then it would be fine, but as it is its a pointless ability because of this.
Action costs are to high, not just for BH. It should be comparable to force cost so its balanced. How are you supposed to kill a jedi when since the last patch they barly use any force up from constantly healing and you are stuggling to do any specials?? Action costs are even worse for melee professions. (This inbalance may be a problem with the devs not updating pre-CU sabers, which is unexceptable since all our weapons got nerfed).
BH with a mission on a cloaked jedi should be able to attack them while they are cloaked, or at least be able to uncover them first.
The idea of jedi being 1.5x better than aa eliteprof was ok in theory, but it turns out they are more like 10x better, you need a group of upto 5 BH to kill 1 jedi most of the time, and since the CU ONLY the one who gets the DB gets a share of the pay and exp.

And at the +3 difficulty level, I still want to see some of the missions be set up against Force-wielding NPCs: Nightsisters and Singing Mtn. Clan witches, Dantooinian Force Wielders, Nyax Cult followers, and whomever. Give us opponents that don't just cough up a measly ONE point of weapons XP, for crying out loud!
