Thread: How to avoid losing a Bounty Mark during your Investigation

First off, mad props to this thread. When I first became bounty hunter, i used this thread to guide my hand through investigation. Now a master, I feel fortunate to have been relatively bug free through most of it.

I STILL highly recommend novice brawler for everyone in a combat role (even BHs), for as commando requires unarmed 4, it have it and can honestly say that intimidation and warcry rock!
What about the new changes to warcry?
Warcry has been changed from being a single target lock down preventing it from attacking to a method of “crowd control”. Enemies can be temporarily prevented from attacking as long as they are not currently being attacked themselves.
For those that have augmented their BH with novice brawler, this means thatthey still have to accept damage from the creaturethey are attacking, even if the others do not attack.
Did it EVER occur to anyone that SOMEONE on the DEV team is picking off useful abilities that a MBH COULD use to suppliment their own?
First it was the damage on the pistols, then /stoppingshot was given nerf, THEN /chargeshot was "fixed" with a timer, NOW they are going after /warcry ![]()
Dang... ok then... EVERY BH should get rifleman and /mindshot2 and I guarantee you that will be next on the nerf list.

I liked the idea that BH's were looked on with derision. But now it seems the developers listen to the whiners, so since BH's seem to be SWG's whipping post, even the thought of us using something brings around the nerf bat.
I really wonder why Jedi's fear the BH so much. I think its that we are the only class that even has a prayer of stopping them (once the droids work and we bring friends) but I just don't see it. I'll wager that when a true PVPer actually gets a jedi guardian, there will be no stopping them.

TWJ...
I know its off topic...but how do you feel about BH combat power vs. Commando? Do we even compare?

can we please get this stickied. Also this was known in November how come the devs can't fix it already?
Well actually the Devs have known about most of our bugs since lastjune or July perhaps even earlier back in Beta.
But I agree, Tanks should at least reference this thread in the Faq above.
I've wondered the same thing myself. Yesterday I had two marks spawn underground!! One underneath the guild hall in Kaadara, the other underneath the spaceport in Bestine. And no, there wasn't an elevator to go to a lower floor of the guild hall.
I just don't understand this sometimes, being a programmer myself. How hard is it to get thepos of the ground and move mark up to at least this point? I guess the point that was made at the beginning of this thread sort of explains it. Marks are fundamentally waypoints, and waypoints don't care about position on a vertical axis, they are just x, y coordinates.
Maybe marks should be more npc based in their definition and programming instead of being waypoint based.
I don't know if this is referenced in the sticky posts above but it should be if it isn't.
