I think if 43% of lairs didn't spawn or 43% of factional bases disappeared, other professions would be howling too
Lairs and factional bases aren't driven by a natural instint to live..... Lairs don't have to regrind themselves out of the hole....
The difference between your analogies is that the 43% freedomwarrior speaks of are player driven characters with actual time invested on the line, while the 43% you refer to are non-inteligent computer programs with nothing to lose but pixels.

Lairs are a totally different concept to hunting Jedi as they are NPCs, I would expect a correspondent to know the difference.
If you all, as BHs, choose to hunt player Jedi then you have to expect thatsomemay be in there houses AFK - do you expect ALL your missions to be a case of track target, go to target, attack target ?I would suggest that camping the house, maybe going under cover if you have it and KEEPING the mission for as long as it takes is a lot morelike being a real BH

As you all know, House-Hiding seems to be a jedis only way to avoid being hunted. I have been thinking what can be done to solve this problem. One idea i tossed round in my head was to generate a TEF on the jedi once the Bounty Hunter uses the "identify target" command on his seeker. The TEF would effectively remove the jedi from whatever house they are hiding in and force them to be apart of the PvP part of their template. If the bounty hunter doesnt attack within a certain period of time, the tef drops and the BH must send out the Identifying Seeker again. This WOULD lead to the issue of BH's just using the Identify Target option on 4 out of 5 droids they send out. To solve that the "Identify" option would now have a chance of success in identifying the target" if you fail then youd have to wait 5 minutes before sending out another identify droid. As far as the "track target" command, this would work the same, the ONLY way to draw a Jedi out of a house would be using the identify target option.I know theres plenty of you who want to flame this idea...but its what ive been thinking about and if anyone thinks thered be a better way to go about it, post it here...i think with enough ideas posted we could get this looked at
Ok, how about this then you want jedi out of their houses, well some payback for jedi, you attack a jedi as a BH you get a perma tef from every other jedi if you kill him as revenge.. Basically my idea is as stupid as yours, you are forcing people to fight you when they do not want to. This is a multiplayer game, other people are not your content, the if the other person doesn't want to be your content then they have that right to not fight you. If you want to fight something go fight some NPCs at least they are designed to fight you every time, jedi however are not....
no, i agree that jedi are actually a part of bounty hunter content. a big part because the actual hunt of a human is much much more rewarding than an mob character. but..
BHs whined loudly because of the jedi run in house thing. that was fixed. they cant anymore and are still complaining, but this whole let me go in your house thing is just stupid. plain and simple. if thats the case, then yes, let me force take your weapon from your hand...pretty dumb eh?
the last thing is really, you bounty hunters STILL fail to realize that people break in their house. You truly think that all jedi think are about bounty hunters. Newbie jedi probably. most elder jedi, not even close. I myself could care less as im normally chatting. I mean, its funny how you really think that jedi center their game around yours so much so that you think all of us try to stay in our house to make u mad. get over yourself. jedi arent THAT concerned about you.
I KNOW MAN!
it amazes me that they REALL think that all jedi do this to annoy them!
Im not concerned about you to that extent. and i could care less aobut you. You may be obsessed with hunting jedi, but trust me when i say that all jedi are NOT obsesed with killing you. I mean, you are like...1/16 of my gaming...
"Target has been located inside a shielded private structure."
Perhaps this could be activated only when a jedi is afk and inside a private structure.
At the very least we won't waste time getting somewhere to find someone afk for hours.
I do think Jedi should be allowed some form of "safe haven" when they are not afk.
AFK house sitting just pollutes the terminals though.

how would you like being kicked out of your house because some random NPC/mob spawned near your house and agroed you? to a jedi (to me at least) a BH is nothing else. some random guy that thinks its a good idea to agro me. there is a reason why houses can be private. it has nothing to do with jedi/BH-interaction.
lets say, just for the sake of arguement, this idea gets implemented. whats next? will jedi be unable to log out of the game as soon as a BH picks up their mission? will all our means to escape, i.e. forcerun 1/2/3, cloak etc, be disabled? how about rooting/snaring/stasising and running away? maybe lock us in combat the second a BH picks up our mission too, so we cant sit/meditate to regen mind/force quickly?
flame away now

i havent read the whole thread but here is something you all should think about: hunting jedi is not a RIGHT but a PRIVILEDGE. maybe pondering over this concept will reveal how stupid this idea is.

Whats next? Force Run is getting Nerfed so are jedi attack specials - Snare will break Force run - Great! Right?
WRONG.
You think your targets bail on you now - wait till they get that implemented - no one is gonna stand and fight -they will bail when the blue dot pops on the horizon. bad idea - just like the one at the top of this thread.
I'm a Jedi and I do not house sit or run and hide. Come for me and die. BHs need to stop whining and do their job. If the jedi has to take a dump or leak at that time or god forbid has kids who might need immediate attention, he/she has the right to hide in a private structure. You have no right to pull me out if I happen to be dealing with naggzilla or one of my three kids for ten or twenty minutes.
How about a fix to the distance vector bug?Try knocking a BH down to watch him slide thirty meters and jump up to keep running without ever being hit while KD'd. I've many times been reduced to saberthrow by BHs abusing this bug. Still win tho....thank the powers for me being pre-cu.
How about having some sort of cost to a BH for losing? I dunno what it could be and really have no ideas, but there is no real incentive for a jedi to fight a BH at all. I only fight BHs cause it provides a few seconds of entertainment for me.
My AFK message says it all......
BTW...ask the rebel jedi of Scylla about a young lady BH named Fi'ona. I am in ventrillo with her often...many many times per night she kills six or more jedi of full template.........I've heard of and seen Jedi be launched into space by friends and picked up in friend's vehicles trying to escape her. Or swim to the center of big lakes and log off. But she still gets them in the end due to her persitence.
She will not drop your mission. She'll hold it till you die or kill her..../grin...I'd not mind losing to a BH like her...hehe...but then again she is on my side so I dun have to worry...lol
