I have been sitting here and ive pulled 4 or 5 jedi missions. and ive asked round my guild about this. As you all know, House-Hiding seems to be a jedis only way to avoid being hunted. I have been thinking what can be done to solve this problem.
One idea i tossed round in my head was to generate a TEF on the jedi once the Bounty Hunter uses the "identify target" command on his seeker. The TEF would effectively remove the jedi from whatever house they are hiding in and force them to be apart of the PvP part of their template. If the bounty hunter doesnt attack within a certain period of time, the tef drops and the BH must send out the Identifying Seeker again. This WOULD lead to the issue of BH's just using the Identify Target option on 4 out of 5 droids they send out. To solve that the "Identify" option would now have a chance of success in identifying the target" if you fail then youd have to wait 5 minutes before sending out another identify droid. As far as the "track target" command, this would work the same, the ONLY way to draw a Jedi out of a house would be using the identify target option.
I know theres plenty of you who want to flame this idea...but its what ive been thinking about and if anyone thinks thered be a better way to go about it, post it here...i think with enough ideas posted we could get this looked at
Ok, how about this then you want jedi out of their houses, well some payback for jedi, you attack a jedi as a BH you get a perma tef from every other jedi if you kill him as revenge.. Basically my idea is as stupid as yours, you are forcing people to fight you when they do not want to. This is a multiplayer game, other people are not your content, the if the other person doesn't want to be your content then they have that right to not fight you. If you want to fight something go fight some NPCs at least they are designed to fight you every time, jedi however are not....

bh visits were known to every single player as they were grinding jedi. they knew that when they had their character slot opened, if they gained visibility they might be attacked. It's part of being a jedi.
and where exactly in the holocron is this information? you don't get a gmail since p9 i believe (i unlocked just after cu, no mail, nada nothing zip).
point is, lots of jedi don't want to pvp and never will.
if you can find me a jedi that didnt know jedi are the only profession that at times has forced pvp, i'll be very much surprised.

U want a solution on this????? ...DROP THE MISSONS AND GET A NEW ONE... Easy as that u NooB
ROFLMO
/cloak
/logout
Take your pick, all this cause jedi refuse to hit an extra button rofl.
Have no problem with this idea.
As long as it works for ANY special forces player as well. i.e. there is no hiding anywhere for ANYONE set to PVP. That includes the BH running away. Which means jedi should have the ability to enter private houses or kick hiding BH from them.
Has to cut both ways.
I may be fairly new to the MBH profession but I've run into my share of afk house sitters running a macro loop. This normally seems to occur for me late at night when most people have gone to bed. For this reason I try to get my player mark hunting done in the earlier part of the evening and leave the late night for npc mark farming or other activities.
First off, I have no jedi on my accounts and don't want to have one. I'm not in a jedi guild, have no plans of joining one and though I have jedi friends, I'm not a jedi fanboi. My MBH is my main and intended end game profession.
I strongly disagree with any attempt at ejecting anyone from their private home or being able to bust into a private home. I've been known to stay logged in while afk just to monitor guild chat, see if my favorite tailor logged on, to check my game mail multiple times per day for an important note from someone or to see if a buddy finally logged onwithout having tospend five minutesfiring up the launchpadon each timeor perhapsIam busy chatting with a buddy in EQ2 or sorting my loot. If that was what I planned to do with my time, no one...I mean no one on this green earth can make me stop what I planned to do and go outside to duel them or whatever. It's my $15.00 and I'll do what I damn well please while I'm on as long as it's within the lawful mechanics of the game.
Many of you call for the complete removal of afk macros from the game. If that were done, how would you get doc buffs or entertainer buffs if you wanted to regrind your template and try something else out? If you don't always play during primetime, you'd be screwed without akf docs or entertainers.
There is a simple way to deal with routinely house sitting afkjedi on your server. Keep notes. I'm a stalker. I keep notes on jedi I stalk. I note their homes, where they duel and hangout, if their guild is in a guildwar, their guild, whether they go overt, what macros they run, what templates they appear to have, if they are cloakers, duelers, dwb farmers, space farmers, etc. If they are afk house sitters, I note the /waypoint of their house. This is all easily done with the /notepad feature you have in game and requires no alt+tabbing.
If I get a mission to a town where I have experiencedafk house sitters before, I double check the mission waypoint against their profile and if I'm in a hurry, I simply drop their mission. No biggie. I've gotten the same two jedi house sitters so many times I practically have their house /waypoints memorized and drop their missions as soon as I see their location after the 20second flight to their planet. One those afk jedi I got three times in a row one night.I sent him an email and we had a good chat the next evening. For those two afk jedi knuckleheads, at most I've lost 15 minutes and two cheap droids each time they pop up. Hardly a game breaking issue.
I think most of you are making a mountain out of a molehill. The tools are already in place for you to manage this minor problem. Use them.
As for our new correspondent, I hope he finds other issues to work on that are deserving of his time and energy and that will truly benefit both the jedi and bh communities.
