Thread: Force Run
snares do slow down fr.. so its not completely negated.
master powers has the skill to remove it
and your not upset you have it, seems like you are upset in the ways others use it.
Besides FR 2 + 3 have to be toggled off if a jedi wants to do serious damage to another
and to turn it on and off eats action, and force.
leaving it on.. on the other hand.. requires a little.
if a master enhacer was low on force, he will leave before his force is 0%

Not really, it uses a fair what for inital cost, its only efficient if used for an extended period. I dont think you can comment, because im 99.99999999999999999% sure you arnt a Jedi, so you dont have a clue about the forcecosts.
funny comment, i started on launch day andi've had a jedi since around patch 7.
i do know about force costs, tyvm, as well as saber tef and having to start as a rebel, the old jedi skill trees, patch 9 changing the professsion completely for us, patch 10 adding new unlockers, being on of the underrated mdef's pre-cu and loving it, as well as doing some nice ass kicking, the FRS, which i actually miss, cuz it was at least limited content with the fun of pvp.
your gut instincts, i'm sorry to say..... are horrid, if you are 99.99999999999999999% sure.
if this is your main account, i've had jedi since a month after you started.
and as for force costs.... i'm one of the pre-cu lucky ppl with a 9FC saber. ![]()

well if youre talking about force run in general here i would have to remark that it uses WAY too much force.
i have to ask, how so, if a person can have it on at all times and not worry about running out of force.a mpowers' cloak drain is disgusting, when around even 10 ppl?
i heard that FR3 has quite a drain to it, but apparently FR2 dabblers don't have this problem. i've also talked with friends that have this template, and they tell me their force regens quicker than the FR2 drains, so they actually build up force while it's activated.
i don't see how this is considered ok. it's not supposed to be on at all times, it's a getaway tool, for when it's needed most. yet it can be run indefinately without fear of being drained.

what makes me mad is, i never run from a fight, i either win, or i die trying. and i win more often than not.
i find the skill cowardly. and even using my bh/pistoleer, with the cm heal tree, i get runners every mission, even with a snare on them, they run faster than my swoop can go. they have force run on through the entire fight (you can see the icon under their ham bar) and when they run outta force, they bolt, yet their run never runs out.
perfect coward tool.
i even had a jedi tonight that told me he hit 0 force..... and continued into the negatives, up to -1000+ force. i'm guessing bug if anything, but whatever, i just give up since when i even KD a runner, they slide faster than i can chase, due to the force run, against my weapon movement hinderance.

I dunno what server you're from, but on Bria we can have fights that last up to 8-9 hours. (Lok last week anyone?)
We're restricted by this force bar where normals are not. Force Run is fine.

Tell me it's a cheesy skill when Jedi can only hang in PVP for about 10mins until they're completely out of force and have to leave a fight to regen.

i can have 45 min bh fights with mbh/mcm that really know their templates well, before running out of force, and not using a holo.

(no robe on) with drain out of the way, relatively, i can pvp for long amounts of time before needing a regen break, most times i don't even slow down.then again, i can go through about 20+ lvl 81 or 82 lairs nonstop before running out of it.i just am getting really annoyed with it, as every jedi i've faced has employed it, even full templates who have nothing to lose from a bh death.
Look dude, each template has a weakness. You will meet other Jedi that you will struggle against and then some you will tear to peices. Accept it.

so you asking em to nerf force run?..hell, mine as well, ..as Mehancer i use more force turning FR off and on than i do fighting, and being that all i can use is FR3, i can most definately tell you FR3 is SLOWER than a swoop..they exploiting if they were going faster..and if they were fighting with it on then it was force run 1 which is basically burst run so it would be much slower than your swoop which you can insta call now making FR a not quite as effective get away tool as it was. but ya, nerf it! why not!

did you not read my other post about the costs being much higher on FR3?
most were using FR2, which my swoop could slowly gain on, but when i reach into range of them, i dismount and use a snare shot on them, they just keep going that same speed, cuz i slowly have to gain on them again on my swoop.
the one tonight using FR3, i couldn't catch up to on my swoop, infact she actually started gaining distance on me, on flat ground. i couldn't catch up at all, she went from 100m away to over 300m+ away in about 15 sec. needless to say, i was stunned.... WITH an electrolyte drain stuck to her.
now i'm not saying nerf it, i'm just wondering why with FR2, it can be left on indefinately and not shut off when force is completely gone from fighting, yet not drain the leftover force that wasn't used in combat before the jedi ran. although most run right away, i've fought a few who have told me they've gotten as low as 50 force left before running. and they ran for another hr or two, with me jumping off my bike every time i caught up, dealing dmg, rooting/kding them, them healing a few times, getting up, and running off again.
i would think their force would have drained. but it never does (btw, they didn't use holos. this was asked)
i dunno what to tell ya man...what exactly are you wanting..FR to drop when no force left? i have no problem with that..in fact i didnt even know it didnt drop. so no big deal for me..i dont see any problem with it dropping at 0 force. but getting enough for to fr usually only requires them to channel once so i dont think its gonna help much.
