First off, I want to say THANK YOU FOR COMMUNICATING WITH US!!!

Ok, next. I totally agree with the more skill points (who wouldn't want more skill points?). Even though this is a really good change, the profession its self still needs alot of enhancements and higher modifiers to the higher level BH's. If we are supposed to be the Jedi hunters, we should have changes to help us in that field.

We are going to remove the Trapping, Hunting, and Survival Scout lines from the Bounty Hunter prerequisites.

Thank you so much TH, please pass it along to all the DEVs how happy this makes everyone. :-)

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

FANTASTIC!

here are the three things I have been wanting since DAY ONE! (oh my god they might get read... =D!)

1: Make existing scout traps work on humanoids when you get say... investigation 3 in BH (keep the trap line in scout)

2: Make the lightning cannon a RIFLE! so we can use our marksman skills!

3: give us some DEFENSE! +10 dodge! anything!

I'm so hyped up right now. GOD I hope they read this!

this change is what bounty hunters are about. dabbling. this change will empower all of us and in a way that does not unbalance everything else.

while the point of a bounty hunter (to hunt bounties) still remains broken. this is a giant step in the right direction.

all of you were already dabblers. now you can dabble in whatever serves you best in killing your mark. that is what a bounty hunter does.

let's face it. if we had new weapons unique to us we would be waiting for them for years. if we were balanced with the rest of the combat profs we would be succeptible to dabbling (to not hunt marks) unless the profession was entirely top heavy.

I think you BH guys are not seeing this correctly. I used to be a BH and ya it was pretty lame. The thing is I think BH should never have been a class at all. Why do you have to be a replica of Boba Fett to be called a BH? I mean anyone can be a BH but the Devs went and messed it up by giving it a class. It should have been open to any combat profession not like it is now. I don't see why you BHs want to stay in the same vein as everyone else. It gives you guys more flavor and more to choose from. Yes I agree making the whole scout tree better is a great idea but what profession doesn't need some serious revamping?

This is the best they could do on short notice and I think it makes more sense. Why does a BH have to use pistols, carbines, and llc? A TKA could be a BH, so could a pistoleer, a CH, a carbineer, or rifleman. My point is a BH is not a set of skills but more of a decision by a player. This is what the Devs messed up by making you all the same ole formula. Its very boring and now you can mix it up and be more of a unique BH instead of the same old crap.

JustG, to start with, I'm not a BH, nor will I ever be. Not my play or character style. But I do have several friends who are, I have been playing this game since day one, and do think about the big picture. (when I can)

I think this is a great thing. I know some of my BH friends have discussed the idea of not making novice BH so SP demanding, to make a more diverse BH community. Good idea, and it seems you guys thought so too. And again, I'm glad to see you making notice of the BH, responding to them both with a RedName post, and working quickly on a solution. It shows you have some concern for the bigger picture for the game, the community of characters and players and the balance of it all.

Here are my thoughts on this though. I recently found out that the jedi conversions are able to put jedi skill boxes into non-jedi professions, with out having to actually work on those professions and gain the xp for them. Profession xp or apprentice xp. This I had a major issue with and it rather ticked me off that the jedi were being given what is essentially free professions. Am I now able to swap my master pistoleer for master fencer box for box with out grinding anything? No I can't, so why should the jedi?

With this mind, I seriously think you need to give the BH the same capability.

1. You claimed you want them to be effective against the jedi ASAP.

2. You gave the jedi this ability to swap out skill boxes with out gaining needed xp.

So I see this as a must for the BH to swap out the skill boxes(48SP) for other skill boxes when they get this put to live. Just how the jedi did. If I were a BH, and this didn't happen I would even more pissed off then they are now. And it would further show your favortism for the jedi over any other profession, including the one DEVS claimed to be the anti-jedi to keep them in check.

GIVE US SOMTHING TO MIDIGATE LIGHTSABER DAMAGE!!!

Mabey adding lightsaber protection to BH Armour, or mabey even introducing that Anti-Lightsaber Armour that was in Jedi Knight II, COrisite Armour or somthing like that...

Giving us defense against Sabers specificly will help us be much more effective against Jedi, but not upset the balance in PvP....

I think I would caution about quick fixes...Although the skill points reclaimed are almost enough to get me to come back to BH. I would prefer a well thought out fix that has the input from the BH community and coorespondent as well as the Jedi community. One has an affect on the other which we have already seen.

I just don't want to see stuff put in code in a rush. The damage is already done. Lets fix it right.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (edited noooooo for being too long )how can this be happening, this will only lead to more dabbling due to reducing sp cost and inevitably nerfs. I thank you for your consideration JustG and its great that you want to help us but this isnt the way. personally im happy to wait for the combat balance, if you make bh worth the 213 sp. heck make it take all 250 if thats what it takes. I forsee that whilst this may be beneficial to start with it solves nothing, ugh plus i gotta do some more grinding now heh.

Thank you JustG. This is good news indeed.

Those who can gain anything by dabbling into BH could already gain everything they needed or that really helped them by dabbling into BH under the old requirments.

For the first time ever, MBH will have the ability to dabble out comparable to other professions ability to dabble in. For the first time ever a MBH willhave capabilitiescomparable to the 3000 BHs. A MBH still won't have the defenses or capabilities of dedicated combattemplates, but it will be close enough to be competative for the first time. Best of all, MBH's won't be a bunch of clones who are basically the same anymore.

In this system, with the way the SWG profession system is designed, I feel that we MBH would never be balanced without this step. Thank you.
