So....I find a mark who's sitting inside a player city cantina. First I was thinking to just drop his mission and go away. But it appears my presence is greatly disturbing this jedi and his friends, so I stay just for fun. Obviosly they want to go hunting or something like that but can't as long as I'm there. They keep sending me tells such as "gimme one, just ONE reason why he should come out and lose his hard earned exp to you". But I just tell them, if he isn't going to come out then why is he so worried about me. I usually don't talk to my marks unless they start talking to me.I move a bit further from the house to a town nearby and send a couple of seekers after him and from the waypoints I can see he has come out, but when he sees me coming he runs back inside, send me a tell "do you think I'm stupid?". After this he logs out and I go do other things in the meanwhile but he keeps sending me tells with his alt so I let him think I'm still stalking him.Later he logs back in and I go check him out but it looks like he's still inside. After this mission has been going for about 5-6 hours he makes me an offer: he pays me his bounty and gives me a fight as long as I won't death blow him. I accept the offer but only because I know this is the only way to make him come outside. So I do what most of us would probably do, I fight and death blow him anyway, despite the deal we made. His friends say they are writing tickets to csr and get me banned for doing this. As they claim, someone else got perma banned for doing the same for 3 hours....so should I be worried? What I understand the "crime" here was that I was "camping" my mark and made a deal but broke it. I think he was pretty naive to beleive a BH whos holding his mission will not death blow if given change to do so. And I felt I had deserved right to complete my job after doing same mission for 6 hours. His friends also said that no other BH would agree with me on this (that its OK to do this), so just thought I'd see if this is correct. So what do you guys think?
If you are Worried about being Ban'd or whatever, then i would suggest you pay him back the credits that he pay'd you not to db him, that way you have not de-frauded him, and only have trick'd him into a fight for you to collect your payment.
the rules posted by some1 here, clearly state that "Roleplaying" is not an excuse to fraud some1 of their credits, which going by your post you have done.
but i doubt you would get ban'd anyway, more than likely just warned
Cheers

Good stuff mate
He tried to bribe a BH and u showed the true spirit
Now just go and get his mission again ![]()
Yep showed true spirit of being dishonest and a untrustworth. YAY for you ![]()
PS:I do not think you will get banned......but you should give his credits back. ![]()

That's not a fraud. A seller has the duty to tell the buyer what he is buying, but the buyer has no duty to tell the seller what he is selling.
its bannable if you ASK for the money
if they offor, its their prob
though itd be lame if he payed you then you DB"d anyway... but if you tipped teh cash back after the DB itd be funny lol

he entered into a verbal contract with another player, accepted payment, and then broke the contract. that is trade fraud.
When is a bh a proffession that is active in trade? The jedi himself bribed the bh to not kill him. So there really is no service being given. Thats like slipping a door man a 20. Sometimes it works, sometimes he just takes the money and your stuck outside.
Basically from a CSR's standpoint its more of a judgement call. There is alot of gray area when it comes to Jedi/BH situations.
It all boils down to CSR's being unable (thankfully)to enforce "rules" for PvP. The Jedi didn't enter into trade to conduct business, he entered into player vs. player combat - and has to deal with the consequences, regardless of any conditions to any bribes.
BUT THAT IS JUST ME.
You also said you were waiting for, what, 6 hours? That is a long time and might make my rules of engagement....alter slightly.
You also have to understand. The Jedi that you are hunting is another person, a real human being sitting infront of a computer monitor trying to have fun with this game...Just like you.
Still, in all matters of Roleplaying, if a BH was a 'down & dirty' kind of player this would be deemed fine by my book.
I am a Jedi and a BH, I've killed a few Jedi, and a few BH's have killed me. (Until I found that Master Rifleman could take out any BH I came across. However, I have confidence that Startleshot and Disarm Shot will get nerfed).
