Don't feel bad that you were prepared and he wasn't! Believe it hurts MUCH MORE when it's you on the end of the unprepared stick.
GOOD JOB!

Thanks everyone. Kaadara is the only place I know of that has both, which really sucks to have to travel all the way there when you know more or less where your mark is already.

looks like you've attracted the 1-star bandits.
Anyway - nice one. Any jedi dumb enough to come to a major hub unbuffed deserves anything they get.
1-star me if you agree

Very nice. Good thinking of using the LLC. 5* for you.

I run inside, he's still unbuffed, so I pull out my Max damage 1024 LLC and use Lightning SIngle 2. It hits hard for 1234 points of damage which equals one incapped jedi. It's a deathblow and my first jedi kill. It wasn't a fight but sometimes the food is caught in the web.

Nice work, good to see someone use the Light Lightning Cannon in a Jedi mission. Guess there is still some use for it after all.
Ooh, and on a side note. I bumped a few of you from 1 star to about 4 - 5 stars, upon refresh it was back to 1 - 2 stars. I guess there's more than one 1-star-ninja-dude around.

Thanks for covering us. I also took out a Jedi with my LLC at a starport. We both just happened to load in just as the transport left. We were both unbuffed. I walked up behind him and sent a bolt of electricity through the back of his head. One shot kill. It was nice as I was going to be slaughtered if I had missed LOL.

Okay, so I haven't played in what I was thinking was about 2 months, but I realized that it's been since the end of July, so I'm a little rusty. Anyways, I took a Jedi mission for 110K and set off. Well, actually, I took several other missions first that I lost to the log in/log out bug, so that sucked. But after a lot of money spent on shuttle rides (still boycotting JTL until the combat upgrade, but my resolve is weakening), a wasted mind buff as well as a wasted doc buff, I eventually got a mission that worked. Of course, I couldn't find a doc, but I figured what the heck, if I died, it wasn't like I was losing anything, so off I went.
I found my mark on Corellia, fighting Storm Troopers. I engaged him, and once the mob disappeared, the Jedi began focusing his attention on me. Now, this turned out to be a stupid idea, because I wasn't doing crap to hurt him. See, like I said, it's been since the end of July since I played, and the skill point reduction had just gone through. I hadn't had the chance to reallocate my skill points when I had left off, so I didn't have the added bonus of the pistoleer skills i intend to pick up (or that fabulous de-10 I keep hearing about). Being that I wasn't buffed, using my carbine was just KILLING my ham, and I didn't want to get in close to use my LLC, so I was restricted to my scatter pistol. I tried a combination of attacks, centered mostly around body shot, eye shot, and bleeding shot. I'd stick the guy once in a while, and even land some states, but I wasn't getting much damage in on him. He eventually realized this and went back to camping the Storm Troopers. I continued trying to hurt him, and we talked a little, both laughing at the predicament.
Eventually, he ran into his house, and I waited outside for a friend to bring a bomb droid by. Before my buddy arrived, the Jedi came back outside and chased after me a little, before going back to attacking the storm troopers.
At this point I realized one thing...I can at least outrun lower level Jedi. I easily did more damage to myself with HAM costs than the Jedi did even when he was actually paying attention to me and attacking me.
So at this point, I'm getting pretty frustrated. Realizing that the Jedi had basically noticed I was just a fly on the back of his neck, I figured he wouldn't get to anxious if I crept up closer on him. I was good for a burst run if he turned around (which turned out to be a good thing), so I crept into 17m, pulled out my LLC and managed to stick him with 2 quick Cone 2's. Now, he was already a little black in health with wounds, but not too bad. I THINK he may have been buffed, because he was at about 3k in H&A, and 2k in M. I don't know much about Jedi though, so I don't know if this is maybe a special ability or something, but either way, those two high powered cone 2 shots that I managed to stick knocked him incap.
It was at this point that I realized something else...if the LLC had any kind of accuracy and if you could stand at a more reasonable distance to use your specials, it would be a nice weapon.
Well, I was just fired up, because even though it wasn't the perfect fight, I had still basically (inadvertently of course) led him to think I wasn't a threat, and then (accidentally) managed to make myself a threat. I walked over to the body to DB him, when wouldn't you know it, he jumps right back up and starts tearing into me! Now, again, I don't know a lot about Jedi, so I don't know which move this was, but I hadn't expected him to pull it off. I was under the impression that this was something that higher level jedi did, not lower level ones.
Well, luckily I had that burst run available, so I take off. It was pretty close too, but I managed to use some stim b's to stay alive, and basically get out of dodge.
Now I was really frustrated, because I had managed to drop him, but now there was no way I expected him to let me in that close again. After chasing me for a little while, he went back to where he had been killing storm troopers. I followed along, hitting him with overchargeshot2 from my LLC, but not really getting much done. This is where the story gets kind of disappointing. When I walk up to him, the Jedi lays down on his stomach. I couldn't figure out what he was doing, and by the time I realized it, I couldn't stop quick enough. Right as he was getting real low on health, he says, "Geez, come on. I can't make it much easier for you." So I realize he was just letting me kill him to get me to leave. I tried to peace, but I incapped him before I could. I figured I may as well make some credits, so I DB'd him. He stands right back up (another person had logged in right where we were fighting, and I think it was a doc...I think the way it showed up, that it was also an alt character that the Jedi had, but I don't know) and we talk a little. He says that he was still part TK stacker with a lot of melee defense, so that made me feel a little better. He then said that he let me kill him because usually he didn't lose any XP. He then noticed that this time he HAD lost XP, and I felt kind of bad, so I gave him half the bounty. I didn't really feel like I had earned it, and he was trying to be a nice guy, so I thought it was appropriate. We said cya and that was it. The end of my first Jedi kill.
So I guess it's time to grind out pistoleer and buy a good de-10 so I can maybe actually win a real fight soon.

Bravo on realizing you had made him believe you were a non-threat, even if you didn't initially intend to do so. And yes, he was buffed. And the skill he used to stand back up was Force of Will from TK. And almost all Jedi run Doc's as alts. Also, the additional xp loss was recently moved from cloning to DB, so that's why he lost more.
Good job though, even if you are a little rusty.
