Yes. Other posts go into more detail, but for example a master smuggler can get 35% increase in weapons. Slicer 4 has a max of 30% for weapons. Armour also changes but I can't remember what they are.

hehe, i meant nothing against CBebop, i was merely making a statement. becuase for me to have meant something against her would have made me a bit hypocritical. so, no offense was intended

Ok, can I apologise in advance if this is answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
I'm just learning smuggler, primarily for the slices, but I don't really want to spend all the skill points on Master Smuggler.
So - if I just have the slicing tree I'd like to know how good my slices will be. I believe that the maximum possible slice is 35% (correct if I'm wrong). As a "slicer" could I potentialy get slices this high or do I have to be a Master? Does anyone know the actual difference (if any) that Master makes.
Sorry for the newb type question. I hope someonecan answer it for me.

i beleive if you have slicing IV, your slices wont be higher than 30& (in theory)
but who knows...by the way, iwas also lookign for this info last wekk, and found it in the stickies

Yeah, master smuggler gives you a bonus. You'll be able to go 15-35% on weapons at master.
By the way.. Slicing IV, according to the stickies, gives 10-30%, but I swear, back when we were trying to figure this out, it seemed like it was 12-30%. Granted it was still pretty buggy back then (plenty of dudes with Slicing IV were claiming 31-35% slices now and then, for one, too many to disregard), but we collected a lot of slices and the agreed-upon normal range for Slicing IV kept coming out to 12-30%. What's up with this 10% business?

um... I got a 12% damage slice and another 7% speed slice the other day as a Master Smuggler.

I'm sorry...as a Master Smuggler for almost 18 months, I haven't logged a slice below 15%...so, I'm not saying it didn't happen to you, but I just find it highly unlikely.
