What drives you to hunt jedi? cant be the money janta missions which a BH can do are faster and easier and less time consuming. If its just to make a jedi lose xp then i would class that as griefing. The reason i would hunt jedi (im trying it out on TC before i decide to grind inv 3 with my flurry toon is for fun. Its a challenge to locate a jedi, its a challenge to kill the jedi, is it a challenge to DB a jedi?
well just curious on what you think, me personally if it was a noobish jedi id take it as a friendly type of duel, once your incap i kno you dont want to lose xp so ill let you heal, 15k means nothing to me, i can run a corvette in 30mins and earn upto 4mil (iv had 2 powerplants on 1 corvette
) or i could bring some ppl who want the badges to get money or as before i could hunt janta.
just my thoughts, i kno ill be 1 starred and flamed but i just want to kno, because 1 day many of the BH will be jedi and will be hunted would you like to be -1mil jedi xp???

It's only -230k xp if they clone, and I do it because of fun. They have sabers (which looks so cool), force powers (which look so cool), and it is PvP, which is fun.

I hunt Jedi for the thrill and the challenge... I know they are better than me and alot of the Jedi that PVP on my server are big-headed, egotistical jerks... so when I get to kill one, I bring them back down to reality. My alt is working on Jedi as of right now, he is close to getting Initiate. And being a Bh, I know what to look for... so I doubt that I will be on the terms alot. and if so, and I die... well... this is a game, this is SW, and this all apart of it. /shrug

Good question. Significantly lower - most creatures are a few hundred xp each. Max for a Jedi killing the worst kind of rancor, I think, is around 1.1k...
The real 'problem' though is that most Jedi can't kill a rancor since they took away armor.
Most Jedi don't exploit the 'geo caves' and other POIs with broken spawn rates...in my case if I can net 60-70k Jedi xp in a 3 hour session, it is good...visibility is impossible to decipher, and regardless of where one hunts, he can expect a visit from a BH after a couple of hours. Part of that might be a high BH to Jedi ratio on our server...or at least the 'feel' of this.
So in summary, a 230k xp loss to me would be about 12 hours or so of grinding big stuff, if I don't die from it, or have to run from a BH. Realistically it is about 20 hours online time (I died once when I had to leave the keyboard to help my son and that's what it took to get back to 'even').
I am sure the numbers vary greatly though, depending upon how careful the Jedi is. I consider myself very careful and don't hunt near anything or anyone and run the instant anyone shows up on my 1024 meter radar. There is probably a more moderate point in there somewhere that balances xp/hour with a little more visibility, but I don't fool with figuring out where that is.

I get a HUGE rush when I am about 200m and closing on my mark, that feeling alone makes it worthwhile. Only thing keeping me playing right now(other then in game friends).

It's a class I enjoy in any game, it's nothing personal against Jedi for me. I love the thrill of the chase, hunting down that unsuspecting mark, catching them when they are most vulnerable. The chase and fight are the huge thrill of it all, win or lose though I could care less. It's all just good fun.

I hunt jedi for the Emperor! Light and dark jedi falls before me, and they will continue to do so. Why?
1. In Star Wars, Palpatine and Vader hunted down the jedi. I like Star Wars, and I think the jedi should be hunted, as long as they are here. I belive SOE should remove every jedi from every server and create KOTOR Online, but as long as they are here, it is the jedi hunters job to rid the galaxy of them.
2. I love the thrill of the hunt. The chase, the fight and when I do the DB, I always bow to my target. Respect to an oponent, no matter how he fights. Too bad I rarly get that attitude back....
Hunting jedi is the ultimate kick I get on this game. Nothing else is more thrilling. NS, take a hike. Corvette.. Boring...
Yeah, and you mentioned the xp loss.... Tough. Becoming jedi should be hard, and the more that hunts them the better. I dont want 75 % of the server population to be jedi. And I know most of the knights and pre patch 10 jedi agree with me on this one. So to all you post10 jedi wannabes out there. Do not be surprised if you get ganked by bh and jedi together in the future. It is our job to control you, as stated by SOE and Emperor Palpatine.

The main reason for us to make sure we get the DB, is to make sure the Jedi fear loosingsomething from being hunted by us. Therefore they should think twice about showing off in front of people, should hide out, and be very carefull at all times.
If there was another way to make you Jedi fear walking around showing off, owning everything, kill stealing and just acting like an arse, I would be perfectly willing to listen to it. But there is not another one, and until there is one, you need to have this exp point loss in place.
If there was not any penalty for the Jedi at all, they would just run around and act like arse hats like almost all of the Jedi knights do now. Do not say you won't either. If there was no penalty, there would be NOTHING AT ALL FOR YOU TO FEAR, and you WOULD most definately walk around owning everything, camp all of the POI's, and just ruinthe gameEVERYONE who comes in contact with you, except the Jedi wannabies, the groupies, and your own guild members.
If the penalty was not in place, it would be like you walking around taking apoop on everything, then forcing all non Jedi to stick thier faces in it.
I still say that once you Jedi hit the Knight level (Or highest level you can reach) and do not care about loosing exp anymore, you should start loosing entire skill boxes to keep your big heads from infringing on everyone elses fun.

It sure as heck isn't the money, and for me, it's not the glory (I die way to often). It's the thrill of the hunt, taking down the dangerous prey, or atleast trying to.
