Play a Jedi that is a PvP profession or not. I have heard the similar argument from people that were running faction missions and then complain about getting killed by an overt member of the opposite faction because of TEF. Getting hunted by BHs is the risk of the profession. Don't like the risk, don't play the profession.
All right nevermind responding now. Reading your last comment I know exactly where you stand on this now. It's your opinion that by playiing jedi you have to accept a BH is going to randomly turn up through no fault of your own and mug you of two hours hard work. All I can say is I'm glad you're not on the development team. You seriously haven't a clue...
That last comment was kinda funny. Who do you think that implemented the visibility system and BH Jedi bounties? The devs!!!' So, I guess they don't have a clue either compared to you .

rofl.. way to go Tanks!

Anyway, i hunt Jedi for the rush you get by hunting what you know are other people (PC) cause hunting NPC is the same every time!! And gets real boring.. I have fun tracking Jedi, and the fight is just a bonus i get! I just love the option we have that i can look at you (Jedi) without you even have a clue i can attack you when ever i like. This is why my Jedi missions often are completed i can wait for ages for the perfect moment to hunt a Jedi! If me cover i blown i strike as fast as possible or go get another misson cause iknow by tons of experience that when i Jedi sees you and FR to the starport they try to get home as fast as possible! Or other just look for a public building to hide in.

Meny Jedi i have hunted love to hide in their Player Citys.. I guess after months of bounty hunting im banned from most big player citys on Ahazi! And the fun thing is now when i show up there even whith no mission they freak out and its full alarm! Everyone gets buffed, get on their armor, and ready for war.. And i simply walk around not saying a word, they send tells, Jedi start running around and say, comon man attack me you n00b.. lol, im not stupid, i wont fight a whole guild for one Jedi, ill wait for things to calm down and wait for the Jedi to venture out of town, i even wait a day or two before the Jedi is online and anlone and ready to die!

This is what i love! The challange, but there are fikses we need like removal of the weapon switch delay and lower many Jedis SaberBlock cause its really unbalance for them to have the 85% block off every shot i fire (Knight)

ops. forgot to add it would be nice with some higher mission payouts as well! Its hard making a living as a Bounty Hunter with 25k max payout..

What I wouldn't give to be able to collect a jedi lightsaber as a trophy for my jedi kills. *evil grin*

I hunt for the sole reason that is what I chose my profession to be. I like to imagine all the jedi marks I kill are as whiny and selfish as you. Nothing in this game gives me more pleasure then when I death blow some little snot like yourself. Have fun in game

I'm sick to death of people whining how they deserve to be Jedi with all the professions they mastered and dropped, all the hours they've spent playing, and how SOE is unfair blah blah blah. The whiners need to die. In game, of course. :-P

As polished was pointing out: Going against a mark that is not using Artificial Intelligence but reacts with true unpredictability makes the hunt more satisfying. Win or Lose.

You simply go in as prepared as possible and see what happens.

The way I see it there are really only 2 reasons that someone would want to hunt a Jedi.

1) They are a hardcore Roleplayer and are simply playing the role of a ruthless Bounty Hunter. (However this, at least on my server, is not very likely seeing how almost nobody roleplays in any form)

2) They are a pure griefer, and take pleasure in physically causing unrest in other peoples lifes and gaming experience.

Hilarious that you list #2 as a reason to hunt Jedi. The you have almost all the BHers on this forum saying they can't fight jedi and to nerf saber block. You think the devs are going to do this so those BHers could grief better? lmao.

I do it for the thrill of the hunt. One of the most challenging things to do in game. I get the feeling I am the only BHer that leaves after the deathblow and doesn't wait for a doc to show up.

I demand moeny for not DB'ing them. I need the money, as I don't want to do Janta mission and I own a guildhall so my harvesting is pretty limited.

Btw. I hunt, as several other players have mentioned, because I get a "battle thrill"

How about 3) They do not want to be a jedi, and since hologrinding caused everyone he ever knew to leave the game he decided to hunt them down and kill them with no pity or mercy.

cuz if that was 3, then I would pick it

I don't play SWG to be a jedi, I play KOTOR or Jedi Knight to be a jedi. I play SWG because I want the other side of star wars, the part of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Luke is not who I want to be (although Vader is my hero), but like Han or Admiral Ackbar. No force powers, nothing except the talent and skill that comes with living in the SW galaxy.

Future Jedi here.... Long time Imperial as well, but unfortunatly taking up the Dark Force powers would give me about the effectiveness of a Master Bounty Hunter (useless lightning, useless knock downs, force choke essentially a fire dot w/o the wounds lol)

So would this be a viable template for a Dark Jedi? just curious

Master Saber - Master Healer - 4/0/0/4 Enhancer

Hopefully the lack of any defense aside from saber block/toughness would not be a template breaker for me... Full healer would be nice to have, and with Meditate line in enhnace coupled with full HAM wound and BF heals I would be pretty self sufficient in terms of my HAM and Force pool. Also the healing contribution to allies would be fun and hopefully helpful in real time battle situations or at least as a utility.

Any advise would much appritiated

Right on, Colonel Goldy. I had a blast being a sith lord in KotOR, now it's time to have a blast being just a guy in SWG.

Not sure if I'm actually welcome here-- I'm not a bounty hunter or a jedi. I'm just a kung fu ranger who's trying to survive in a crazy galaxy. That said, as a spectator, I find this whole BH/Jedi war one of the most interesting aspects of the game, much more intriguing than the GCW. And I'm rooting for the hunters, all the way.

Here's something this thread is lacking insomewhat: an outsider's perspective. As previously stated, I'm just a guy. I hunt for a living, I get to hang out with my best RL friend who lives a thousand miles away, we get to mess around in a very awesome world that has enchanted us since we were kids. (Well, until the prequels came out-- ugh. But that's another discussion.) Essentially, I pay my 15 bucks a month to be just another citizen of the empire. And I love it. While other people fight to the death with shiny sticks and rapid-fire laser doohickeys, I might pause to watch on my way to drop off a stack of hides to one of my buyers.

Okay, getting to the point now. Jedis make blue collar stiffs like me nervous. They're too powerful. A jedi with a little bit of scout could harvest way more than me, nearly a master ranger, through sheer volume of large beasties killed in little time. They have the potential to really mess up the economy for us little guys with their 'light-swords' and witchcraft. I work hard, pay my taxes to the empire, and don't cotton to no jedi claptrap. I'm all for any kind of population control on those robe-wearin' poofters. You got my gratitude, bounty hunters.
