Seems like most BHs like the idea of hunting Jedi (real players) as it would be a much more satisfying experience to compete against a real person instead of just an NPC with crazy HAM.


So my question is: Has anyone proposed having bounties placed on very high ranking Rebels? Makes sense to me as you have to choose to get promoted and why wouldn't the Empire want to hire BHs to take out some high-profile members of their enemy?

Posted a similar idea, but it should work both ways. The rebellion has enough creds to higher a BH to drop a particularly offensive Imp.

Hey guys


What do you think of player bounties as a whole? Ok i absolutely love the idea, as pretty much SWG is pretty minimal on the content issue, but all content seems to be interactive with other players (pvp), which is fantastic. But after reading that player bountiesare in development, and that a player will get a bounty if they faila mission for jabba, i thought it would be cool to extent this failure system further with players who fail in succeding a mission for vader or Nym, Borvo, or any of the numerous bad guys out there instead of just good ol' jabba.

agreed!! We BH need something to do the missions are WAY too easy right now. I would like a bounty that would give me a real challange. A real person would fit this bill. Thay would run. Thay would hide. Thay would think. I want something that will force me to get commpleatly buffed and give me a good challange. Right now i can kill any bounty with the pistol, i dont even need to pull out my llc anymore. What happened to the imposible bountys? I want something that thinks like me, not like a machine. But this would only work if it was for master BH. It would be a good reward for the 230 sp we use and it would keep the dablers from using it. it would be for the hard core bounty hunters.

well the more you want someone dead the more you are willing to pay right?


How much do you think some guy will use for a bounty on some guy who they just dont like for no reason.


It would be kinda nice if there was a minimum charge for placing a player bounty however. 50k minimum on players sounds about right imo.

Won't happen for two reasons. Grief is one of them, the other is that death has no sting. Nobody is going to pay to have someone killed when they clone right back. But, we do need our skills to be marketable to the community. Our tracking abilities are probably the way this could be obtained. Enhanced tracking and perhaps some sort of information gathering abilities.

We do need a system of player bounties. But to make death bad for the mark, he should get full wounds on HAM, huge wounds on secondary, and about 400 BF. That would make it more exciting.

I like the idea of the minimum bounty 50K does sound about right for a player. And to help prevent abuse, make it so you can only place a bounty on a player once a day. The death is just a normal death they clone and go on; most of us die once a day anyways. But it will spice things up a bit. It's all about fun, and knowing that you have a price on your head could make it pretty fun.

The only problem I see is that they can just log off and then the bounty hunters have to wait till they log back on.

It's funny in is game that is full of griefers, player bounties are shouted down because of the grief they might cause.


-GTEF, thats greif


-Incapping someone over and over again with a FT, thats greif.


-Buffing AFK Tumblers that's greif but atleast it's funny


This game is full of greif, Player Bounties will not push it over the line. As a RP'er Star Wars Fanboi the lack of Player bounties is disterbing and this Jedi bounty only crap just don't do.

man thats a great idea any1 up for avote cos i know a few people id love to get a bounty on there head *most of them in my guild* and it should be like bazar you have to pay money for it to go on the terminal then the reward that gets taken of the creato in case he accidentl spends it AND this should be availble to master bounty hunters ONLY cose could be a tkm thses nbh and wouldnt be fun

absolutly fantastic.....again its one of the reaons i wanted to do bh.....to have a bounty on your head would make the game very exciting....true they just clone but they have been killed and know who put the bounty on them....will they just then put one right back on the player who had them targeted.....then visa versa and so on and so on.


this is defo some thing i would like to see in the bh proffesion

For player bounties to work, the bounties have to be placed by the system, not by other players.


There's too much potential for griefing, otherwise.


However, every profession should be able to get a bounty placed on them. Smugglers who fail or abort smuggling missions (if they had them) could get bounties placed on them by Jabba or whoever. Sqaud Leaders who lose too many of their teammates in a battle. Deserters, traitors, or failures on both sides of the GCW. A novice marksman who takes a mission and aborts it, even (of course the payoff for such abounty would be so meager that few BHs above novice would bother).


As long as the players are aware of the actions that might get them bountied, it'd be great fun for both sides.
