Youwould have to put in more checks and balances besides a once a day thing. What if a whole guild is mad at someone? They could each drop a bounty one at a time all day and grief the poor sod into quitting.


So here is my addition.


Contractor may only place one bounty per day (as stated previously)

Mark may only have one bounty on his/her head per day

Contractor has to pay 5 times the Bounty amount (minimum of 100k cr.)

Bounty mission last for 3 hours. After which it disappears off the terminal. An hour longer and the mission is aborted automatically. (Total of 4 hours from moment the bounty is requested to when it ends regardless if it was fulfilled or not)

Lastly Mark has no knowledge


So a guy gets upset at being cheated in trade window. He takes 250k and heads to a Spynet Contractor. He clicks on him and converses. The contractor asks what he wants and he selects 'Place a Bounty'. He then get the first window 'Name of mark'. He puts in the name and clicks ok. He then goes to the next window 'Monetary Value'. He puts in 250000 and clicks ok. He now goes to the final window 'Mission Notes' Here he puts in a brief message all hunetrs will read. Including anything the contractor wants said at the termination of the mark. After this a bounty is placed on the guy's head for 50k credits and will stay on the terminals for 3 hours and last for 4 hours.


This is a perfect money sink because 4/5s of that money will disappear from the game world.

Heck, even player-placed bounties wouldn't be so hard to implement.

Make the minimum bounty 50k, and the person who places it has to pay a 10% surcharge to the guild.

The bounty doesn't show up on the terminals immediately, but at a random time over the next 24 hours.

A person can only have a bounty placed on them once per 15 hours of in-game time, and can never have more than one standing bounty on them at a time.

A player with a bounty on his head is notified when his bounty is entered (but not when it goes live), andhas the option of paying off his own bounty, at 90% the going rate.


There, player bounties solved.

Next issue.

The DEVswill not implement a player bounty system were john doe the rich architect places bounties everyday on ppl his alt fights in PvP or an enemy guild leader atc., this will lead to ppl being fragged at random just cause someone has a grudge against them, this would ever end.


Instead if player bounties are introduced, players will not be able to place bounties, this will be done much like the jedi system for bounties, likewisedifferent proffessions could have bounties placed on them by the system not by players, thus giving the player the option to be a mark or not, if they dont want to be a mark, change proffession,eg. a smuggler who is caught in the crackdown should have a bounty placed on his or her head immediately, or if they slice in public(like outside a starport) the more they get caught the higher the mission diff will be, so if they fight of the 1--- BHs the masters will come a knocking. This will serveafew much neededpurposes it will make the smuggling proffession a risky bussiness, what if u are slicing 5 sets of comp, a BH frags you, comp not insured, 5% decay, angry customer, no more bussiness. This will give some much needed content to the smuggling proffession. I for one have signed up for the BHG on naritus and like the idea that out of no where a BH can come and fight you. Dabblers will still be able to make and sell spice with no risk, or buy factionpoints to sell, aslong as they dont get caught it will be fine. Another option is to have the smuggler tag cause a TEF/ or be put on the bounty list for having a smuggler tag, smugglers would have to earn a rep with ppl and cant just spam in front of the starport all day. This would reduce the amount of smugglers and give added content to the ones who stick it


Another idea would be to have ppl caught with contraband be put on the bounty list, this would bring back the devs initial idea to have only smugglers use sliced gear, therefore giving them some extra punch in combat. Anyhow ppl who still carry sliced stuff around in there droids until PvP time,

Or they could just make a system where a players name would have to appear a certain amount of times to be considered a bounty. Then guilds would have at each other more effectively.

That would make BHvery cool. In fact, when I first bought the game I was hoping for this type of system. It would bevery cool. You can give a reward and a discription of why they should be hunted down like dogs. It would make PvP a lot scarierandimagine, being able to issue a payback to all those idiots who placed failed sliced containers on the vendor (anyone who dabbled in Smuggler knows what I'm talking about) for the old max of 3k credits. That happened to me a bit and I wanted to get even and this would be perfect!


The big problem is, how do you control it so that ppl aren't placing bounties on even player name they can remember just b/c?

I would like to see anyone who groups with a jedi get a bounty on them on top of the guilds putting up bounties on people.

Ohhhhh yeah! Sweet idea! Jedi gets on the terminal so does everybody grouped with him at that time. Awesome, but it ain't gonna happen.

Heh, no I wasn't being sarcastic if that's what you think. I really love the idea. How many people do you normally see grouped with a Jedi? 5, 10, 20? Getting 20 people on the terminals at once would be so amazingly cool for us BH's. 150k for the Jedi and 50k for his buddies. That would rule. Sorry if you got the wrong impression.

No its my fault, these boards are a flame fest and its hard to tell when someone really likes your idea. But ya it would make people think twice about how much they want to group with a jedi when a bh could be after them at any time. Come on devs in this time period ther is only a few jedi left, and now you have a ton of people protecting them. I really doubt vader would put up with this.

Speaking of the MAN himself, that's exactly what I want to see in the form of a live event. I want to see Vader lose it and go on the rampage, just once. Couldn't you just see him marching through Theed or Coronet leaving dead jedi and rebels in his wake, red saber flashing, ppl being choked. My gods, it would be GLORIOUS! I for one would gladly die if I could get a screenie of Vader killin me hahahahahaha
