Same stupid argument thread started by same people. Learn to deal with it, there are ways! Try LEARNING THEM! If cloaked gets anything else done to it, it will become even more useless!

There are skills way worse than cloak, now learn to DEAL WITH IT!

Cloak had already recieved a longer cooldown a few publishes ago and it definately should be put in the master box. So if your mark cloak and gets away, you immediately give up and drop his mission? Why not track him down 20 minutes later and try again if he does not log off, if you cannot do that then you should consider a different profession. Cloak is today's counteract to bounty hunters as forcerun 3 was before the CURB and there are ways around it. Let us have a whine and cheese party.

jedi are going to get cloak nerfed on thier own. I've helped people in my guild build jet packs in the DWB using my DE alt. We've seen many cloaked jedi purposely train as much agro on us as then can and do it over and over. We've had csr's come to the DWB and boot jedi out of thier for doing it. It happens all the time and you can tell when its happeneing cuz on the overhead map you see a huge line of DWB npc's running after nothing all in a straight line. Jedi are abusing claok to grief other players and it will be nerfed big time as a result. once it gets nerfed the jedi have no one to blame but themselves for abusing it.

That is cloak in a nutshell. I have been a jedi for a long time, but I think this is the most rediculous skill we have. I would like to see it moved to master powers though so that people cant dabble in the coward lines.

Its interesting if you look at the jedi that do hold cloak in their template, and look at their personalities, what I have found, and this is a generalization, but, it seems to me that alot of the jerks, greifers, haters and crybabies have picked this skill up.

There are some exceptions to this of course, but thats what I have found in my experience.

Ifa jedi uses this to avoid death, dont take it as him winning, because he surely did not.

HAHAHA, that's pretty funny but very wrong.

Or simply, and more realistically, "I have no way to kill you becuase I have cloak so I'm going to USE the skill I've invested a lot of time in to obtain."

It has nothing to do with being a baby or a coward, it's about being smart, and tbh, comments like yours dont help. Generalising is not constructive becuase we all know that everyone is different. It's like saying all BH are griefers becase they only want to kill other players.

What do you expect in a thread started about a Jedi skill giving false information about said Jedi skill?

Sorry man, in my experience, which is not very narrow, thats what I have seen. As far as time goes, what was that, a whole hour or 2?

Cloak is in no way an I win button (unlike AI lol), it is simply a getaway button. Drop the mission and move on. There's no rule that says you have to be able to fight your mark to the death. We initiate the strike, but ultimately they have the choice as to whether or not they stay and fight.

Wish I had cloak...I'd use it as a sneak tactic lol

AI is not an I win button at all, in fact its more of a hinderance then anything else. When a jedi goes into AI, hes not going to win anything, all he is doing is delaying his death, and if his opponents are half way competent then he is going to die, and thats about that.

If a jedi goes into AI, just back away from him, hes now become useless, he cant reach you, he cant catch you, and hes draining his force like a mofo.

The highlighted statement is self-contradictory.

You've (rightly) condemned generalizations, but you did it using a generalization. It should be obvious that a lot of people don't know that everyone is different. Hence they make the generalization.

To be even more sarcastic, the phrase "everyone is different" is itself ageneralization.

Seriously, I often lament the rampant generalizations on these fora.

not when they use it for the first-strike ability

You just want to take away an edge another profession has.

/agree

Will BHs give up a first strike attack to get this nerf?

I'd give it up and still not want the nerf. First strike matters little to me. Most of the time they know I'm there, I know they know I'm there, they pretend they don't know that I know they know. So ultimately we /bow followed by a "Let me know when you're ready"...then we rumble and chat a bit afterwards. Good times.
