After reading the responses from my simple post reguarding force cloak, and being insulted by every jedi and their mother, i will /sign this, and hope that cloak gets moved to master and/or nerfed to hell...

Oh look! A wayward jedi on our forum. Maybe he got lost from his post count grinding group, but were a helpful bunch.

Plenty of us know what we are doing. Oh but you guys are 'uber' when you beat us and 'nerfed' with no hope of winning when you die and lose xp. The difference between us and you is that weve been making it work with countless bugs and not being as innately strong a prof as you guys, and that kills you doesnt it? You and the rest of of the kash babies should stay out of here. Send us your level headed jedi that have been one for more than hmm well, lets say since before double xp, (im feeling generous). Then maybe we can actually discuss things instead of listening to your mindless munchkin drivel.

Bounty hunter is more powerfull now than it has ever been. It has more defense than it ever has had before.

Bounty hunter has not truely been nerfed in quite awhile. Probably since before the masterMarksman masterscout pre-reqs were dropped.

True. It was nice for awhile to have it too. The difference between us and jedi is that jedi started strong, and we started weak. After the last patch where jedi got the mind costs thrown on to healing and whatnot i figured wed be next. Oh well. Most of the issues with this patch have little to do with what prof can do what though i think. If we didnt have all the bugs with the droids and the /duel and the overwhelming padawan factory that is kashyyk i think we could deal alot better with the new changes. If anything, i think the best thing to do would not be to nerf jedi or bh, but to make jedi harder to attain. Special, like it once was, and dangerous. Not every idiot with dreams of being Luke or Darth should be able to grab a few badges and toss grenades at wookies in a grinding group to get there.

I hate Cloak Personally...

In PvE Cloak creates an unfair advantage to those who have it (Unlimited 'vette runs for instance.

In PvP after one is engaged in combat they shouldn't be able to cloak for a minimum of 5 minutes. Either that, or make it so that theres an attack "cool down" after cloaking, in which you can't attack for 5 minutes.

As a Jedi, I have cloak and use it to travel, trying to do my part to RP and lower the Jedi hate out there.

As a MBH, I've had a Jedi use it while I was attacking. Was it frustrating? Yup, but I learned and adjusted my tactics. It's difficult for Jedi to use FC in combat, due to the prox of players, NPC's & MOB's. Use that to your advantage.

But saying you should move an ability because you can't attack a Jedi isn't a viable arguement. If that's your basis, then limit the range or rifles to 32m or increase saber attacks to 65m. If you choose to attack from 50m and a Jedi Cloaks, then it's a simple case of tactics Vs tactics. You can't have it all your way.

lol, ok are you joking? As a ranged profession we need to stay ranged in order to not get killed. A jedi has 1 skill that totally negates our range. It forces us to stand toe to toe with a jedi whom obviously has the advantage up close.

So we kite the Jedi, we lose the Jedi. We stay within 20m, we lose TO the Jedi.

A Jedi's being kited. You're doing that from > 32m of course, to stay out of saberthrow. What Jedi ability is there to counter that? FR? Sure, great, until you're snared, rooted, KD'd or something and boom, back on your back. With two ranged arms (horribly easy to get, BTW), you've got a 80m range. I could pwn anyone too if I could stay 48m outside of thier attack radius and damage them with impunity.

OMG, ranged is suppose to be our specialty where as close up is the Jedi's. so I can never gain an advantage but a Jedi always can? If I kite a Jedi cloaks and if I stand there Jedi deal mega dmg to me along with the debuffs, slows, roots and KDs.

Oh, but it's ok for you to ask for the opposite? It's ok for you to always hold the fight at YOUR range? Wow.

No, reverse the situation and I would always die.
A Jedi has a way better chance at catching up to me with Force Run then I do getting away from their roots, KDs, debuffs

You have a 48m potential range advantage, and that's using one of the most powerful damaging class of weapons.

Yea well, with cloak we can never use that range, meaning Jedi will always have some type of advantage. With cloak, Jedi can get away, ALWAYS, or force us to stand there and take it, even then, if we do start to win, FR and cloak for the get away. It's lame and you can try to defend it all day, it's a pathetic skill that has no place in an online game.

You do know you could say that about the BH profession? what other MMORPG has one class of player that can force PvP on another?

BTW, before you break out the little black book of BH comebacks, yes jedi knew they would be targets when they unlocked, yes they knew they would get on the terms eventually, and yes, they knew 90% of the servers would respec to bh and be hunting them, Im not complaining about being hunted, im commenting on what is possibly the most ironic statement i have seen on this board in over a year.

In the case of moving cloak to master, you may as well do that. Cloak's pretty much the only worthwhile ability in the powers tree. Move that to master, and you've moved everything worthwhile TO the master tree.

I dont think cloak is the only worthwhile ability in the powers tree. Force choke costs 50% less force than it used to and it bypasses armor. I know its not all that against other jedi, but were talking jedi v bh here. It hurts. Bad. Then again maybe its cause i was against a mpowers jedi, i dont know. Makes sense though, anything that hurts that bad (i hear its the dmg dot in the game) should belong to a master imo.

You're right. I misspoke. Choke is great. What box is that in again?

Do you want to flame or talk about this junk? Its my job to know what a target can do to me, not what box its in. Im guessing its a mpowers box skill fromthe sarcastic flair of your last post. You dont like that because this thread is about moving cloak to mpowers. I get it. I think the best tricks of every tree should be at master. Cloak is a nifty trick for a powers dabbler.

That wasn't a flame. Two decent abilities in the powers tree and some people are complaining to get them moved to the master box. Someone remarks "Why don't you just move all the ability to the masters box" and you jumped on them for it. I'm pointing out that in the case of powers you may as well do just that.

Yes, I did. normally im more pragmatic. On edge though with all the random opportunistic fools that want to jab at the prof that I dont go jedi to keep. I think im with the majority of bh's when i admit to jumping to conclusions because every other post is some jedi saying 'cry you losers who dont know how to play your prof.' Bah.

If you look at those posts you will also see Jedi calling the posters idiots.

There are two kinds of Jedi. The mature adult/child and the Immature adult/child.

Same can be said for BH. Dont generalize based on the actions of some.

i havnt had a knee jerk flame reaction to anyone who has come in here with anything remotely constructive to say. I have told the clearlyinflammatory idiots to go. I dont hate all jedi, but with this patch and the gloating swaggering attitude thats ig and spilling into our forums its safe to say i dont expect the best out of anyone thats here as a jedi. I have never posted in the jedi forums, i rarely post here, for that reason. Watching it really burns my ass and im prone to react.

It's understandible. Ya'll took a nerfing, and even that wasn't executed well. On top of it, the bugs introduced turned an unpopular decision into an untenable situation.

The nerf, and all the changes they implemented, i could take without the bugs. Aside from the bugs, the thing that makes being a bh ridiculous is the amount new jedi showing up daily. They have a whole freaking planet to grind on damn! Its not just a joke for us, but to the hologrinder jedi who busted their asses and were doing /examine on every dot that showed up on their radar while grinding in seclusion. Its a slap in the face to both our profs. i just dont get it.

Everything I've seen and heard indicates they're content with the idea of Jedi being a common profession, and nerfing it commiserate to it's rarity.

Jedi sells boxes, and the noobie buying the box doesn't know or care about the Jedi explosion in the game well past the limits of even the EU's treatment of the timeline. They just want a glo-bat. And I can't blame 'em. Glo-bats are cool.

Then you've got the old-timers who've done everything else in the game. They're bored and all that's left is Jedi.

Then you've got the hardcore PVPer who will camp eleventy bazillion and one hours for a weapon that gives them an edge in the GCW.

Those last two SCREAM for a need for professions that can rival a Jedi in power.

Instead, every indication is that SOE will nerf Jedi down to a glorified swordsman with a flashlight.

That seems to be the gist of what the soedevs were saying at the comic con. Unbelievable. No slowing down of the jedi hemorage (sp?) in sight. Nerfs will continue for both sides i think. If i was a jedi, i would stick my ls in my mouth andflick that puppy to'on' before it becomes as useless as a flashlight and couldnt get the job done. AKA delete the toon, cancel my subscription, and send it to the mmo force sensitive hell that awaits it. Meh. Our profs are getting screwed in tandem, good times.

It could just have been fan fest-itis talking, but I heard an on-air interview with one of the SOE dev-types on Lok Radio that says they're looking at advancing the timeline.

Makes sense. Advance the timeline to post Trilogy EU-ness, re-instate the Jedi academy and let players take Jedi from the starting screen.
