If I ever need to get it repaired... and it breaks... I will CRY.... seriously...a grown man.... CRYING.

sad thing is that mind fire CDEF is probably worth a buttload to collectors

Yup I know it is for a fact...

I've been offered slightly over a million for it already... but sadly... its not for sale.

Its my favorite weapon.

Normally I would be ashamed to call a CDEF pistol my favorite weapon.... but in this case... I think its justified.

well... i probably play a lot differently then some who have already posted. I dropped pistoleer shorty after the recent dot changes and I only had like 0002 to begin with. So when I pull out a pistol its either because someone is kiting me or because i'm closing in for the kill and rather not be totally vulnerable. So rather then overall damage I'm just looking to be able to stick specials (panic & low blow mostly) to prime the target for a real beating. So for the longer range I'm running with a rather new speed sliced Modified Republic Blaster and for a bit closer either a fwg5 or a scout blaster.

I did cry when I retired my DX2s though. They served me real well grinding in fort tusken.

As far as I know it has been somewhat fixed I just bought 2 new FWG5's with scopes and they ARE visible on the guns themselves.

However... the scope is NOT visible when you /examine it.

Only while it is equipped ( in your hand )... sitting in your inventory... or dropped on the floor of your house can you actually see the scope on the gun.

why not use the new featherweight fwg5? Gives you bonus pistol stats, with a good slice and powerup is at 290-300 damage with a 2.3 speed.

I still use prenerf FWG5, if only because with the bad run of luck I had when slicing my own, I bought 5 or 6 before getting a decent one. Since the leftovers are still better than nowadays guns, I'll keep those until they fell apart. Whic may very well be in two years, by the amount of combat I'm doing hehe.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

There are new Gorax Bone Shards that can be used to enhance Projectile Feed Mechanisms (used by FWG5's)in the same way that Krayt tissues can enhance weapons that use Power Handlers. The Gorax Bone Shard is supposed to have the same quality of bonsuses as Krayt tissues (i.e. +30 max, -.3 speed at a minimum). However, the Gorax appears to be relatively rare and I haven't heard of too many of them being made yet.

I've only heard of a few sighting for the Gorax... and from what I've heard... and gone looking for....

I'm assuming its harder to find a Gorax than it is to find a Giant Dune Kimo scale for RIS armor... we're talking about as RARE as RARE gets here heh.

Would be nice to gets my hands on one of those shards though....

BUT putting an item like that back into the game after the whole deal with nerfingthe FWG5 a while ago... is a whole different story itself...

I'm sure everybody is just dieing to spend another 2 million credson a pistol heh. Because thats around the price range they will be put at with that kind of enhancement again. Especially with the given rarity of the Gorax.

IMHO the pre-nerf Krayt FWG5's ruined the entire market on pistols for weaponsmiths. I know quite a few weaponsmiths on my server have said this exact same thing... and they're quite glad that the devsnerfed the FWG5.... I kinda am too... because when somebody is walking around with a pea shooter that hits like a flamethrower or rocket launcher.... sumpthins gotta go.... and its gonna be the pistol.

Just my2 credstho

I spent forever trying out all the different pistols, but could never figure out what to use when.

Recently, I found someone selling Republic Blasters with 138-216 damage for 9K each. I boughta crate of 25 of'em,no longer use anything else, and just had to replace the first one. Instead of trying to repair it, I just destroyed it and yanked out a new one.

I carry 4 pistols:

Scout Blaster (normal use) - 1.3 speed

FWG5 - non-armored heat vulnerable types - 1.7 speed, higher damage than my Scout

DX2 (2ish speed) - up close and personal against armored types (unless they're high resist vs acid, in which case...)

My trusty SR Combat Pistol! Yes, a gun so accurate my kneeling mod vs a lair at 0 range was +2.... hey, at least it's AP1...

thanks for the info Kav, yaki.

another couple of questions that I dreamt up; I was browsing a vendor and saw that it was selling "kliknick (sp?)" glands, on /ex i saw that they are "+20 min +90 max". um, what are these?

and out of curiosity, on which planet are Gorax' supposed to spawn?

Kliknick glands (as far as I know) are used by weaponsmiths when making grenades and mines.

The Gorax has been known to spawn on endor.... in a few various locations.... it is definetly QUITE rare to actually see one though.
