Depends where you are in pistoleer....

If you are a master pistoleer definitly go with the more damaging one beacuse attacks will be the same speed on both guns...

But say you just started pistoleer it would better if you got the speed so you could level up faster...

Genrally speaking you always want a more damaging gun

But you also need to consider damage type. FWG5 is heat and Scout is energy. Since different mobs are resistant to different damage types it is always good to have several pistols on hand. I usually have my DX2, FWG5 and my Republic blaster with me so I can use the damage type best suited for what I'm hunting.

If you can afford it, get both guns. If you can only afford one now decide based on which damage type will work best on what you kill most often.

What gun gives restraint damage?

Depends on your pistoleer skills and your target. A good pistoleer will carry as many as 10 different pistols for different situations - different damage types, speeds, PvP/PvE, etc.

For example I try to have FWG for heat damage, republic for energy, genosian for stun, DX2 for acid, striker for kinetic, uber-krayted genosian for PvP stun, uber-krayted DE-10 for PvP energy, and an assortment of "lair hitters" that I can spam overcharge or disarming shot with and not worry about gun wear.

Nah, he typed stun first. Restraint is a type of force damage.

Pistoleer damage types include:
stun
energy
acid
heat
kinetic

I have a 32% damage sliced Krayt CDEF that with a damage powerup does 1.6 speed, 38-103 damage. That thing is dangerous!!!!
