Thread: Whats the damage cap on a Nym's Slug-thrower?

The max stayed the same, but the min with from like 380 up to 400, or sometihng like that. the guy ended up with a 400-916 dmg HCSP.
Yeah, I heard that once you reach max damage cap only your min damage goes up. I'm nearly 100% positive my min damage didnt change but I'll double check tomorrow.

This carbine was unsliced.
I acquired a slightly better version and also tried to get slices for it. It only went up to 80%.

All you have to do is goto the cave he sends you to and pick up the computer chip and the imp detonator and return to nym, click and drag onto him and voila, a new slugger in your inventory.
I have heard stories of them being as high as 710-720, but out of ALL of them I have, the highest is 691.
Like I said, all you have to do is goto the cave he sends you to, get the computer chip or harddrive what ever the piece is.
It is located to the right once you hit the big main room, located in the maze in that room. The other piece, the imp detonator is in the square room in the center of the overhead map in a magseal.
Return to Nym and open inventory and click and drag pieces onto him and you get reward.
Simple as that, I've never done the full quest.
A content badge in under 10 minutes... easy.
Well I went ahead and tried to slice it... Took a 8% slice but the damage stayed the same 
I submitted a bug report and a CRS ticket. I wanted to give everyone here a heads up though... Dont slice the Nym's Carbine cause it doesnt do jack ATM. Thank God power cores are a common BH loot drop these days.

I hope the max is atleast over 722 cause otherwise I wont be able to slice it to even 4%.. I would have to settle with a 2% slice... Which would mean a 708 max damage + 169 acid = 877... Too low if that is the case
Maybe. But I am pretty sure an 877 max Kinetic would hit harder than a 1063 max Energy against a PSG. If you test that, let us know.
You may be right, but if I cant get the Nym's carbine to hit in the 900s then I would be better off (I think) getting a WS to make me a Czerka carbine...

The percentage in increase are taken from the min damage not from the max damage.
E.g. if you have a 400-800 minx/max damage weapon and you give it an 4% damage slice you ll add 4% of 400 to your max damage, resulting in a max damage of 816.
