Thread: Is this an exploit?

Has anyone had a Non-Creature Handler come up to them and say that they have a pet like yours but their Bio-Engineer friend made it low enough level for them to have but it has roughly the same stats? I'm not talking about a low level pet either, something around level 30 if you go out and tame one. Are Bio-Engineers able to make high level pets low enough for non- creature handlers but keep the same stats as if it were it's original level?

Its an out of balence thing. a non ch pet can only be up to lvl 10. the problem is the game doesn't correctly limit be's on what a lvl 10 pet is, and the devs have not set specific guidelines for be's to follow when creating pets.

Frankly, if any person has a non ch pet that has more than 2k ham its an exploit, but officially its just "out of balence"

Itis a little out of balance. The best CL 10 BE pets I've seen are around 3500-4000 HAM but they only hit for 40-50 damage. Whereas a tamed creature with that HAM would probably hit for 3-4 times that. The HAM stat would be equivilent to CL 16-20tamed creatures.

As far as them being comparable to a CL 30 tamed creature I wouldn't think so. Most CL 30s have 9000+ HAM and hit around 300 dmg.

people dont take up pets for the damage they do.

it is overpowered compaired to the reasons that the devs nerfed CH. for example the old graul mauler was a level 35 pet with light armour 10k ham and 65% kintec. they were nerfed to 30% noarmour and level 36 to prevent CH from controlling two powerful pets at the same time with little expenditure in skill points. now the BE can produce similar pets at level 30 with better resists... overpowered and out of balance yes. exploit no. the only BE exploit petare the level 1 pets with stats of a level 50.

being a BE/CH i can tell ya this, its an exploit, and if his mightly non-ch pet dies too much he wont be able to have another one made. curently the system is limiting the stats on non-ch pets, meaning if the HAMS etc are too high for lvl10, it becomes invalid and deleted once it is tamed. i can successfully create a non-ch pet with 2600-3600HAMS, others have reported that 4000HAMS was causing newer pets to be deleted aswell.

now i can make a lvl15 pet with 6000-7000 hams and 280damage, overpowered yes, exploit? thank god no! otherwise running from a giant fambaa after i poked it several times with a needle and getting murdered by it would have been for nothing.

BE pets can sometimes be better than a wild pet,. then sometimes a ch's wild pet will be better than one of ours, but if ya want a vir vur with bloody high hams and decent damage, then give me a ring!

Barb, GMs are actually Cl 35. I should know, I have 2 and I use them regularly together.

My alt is becoming a Master Weaponsmith, I have been asked that when he gets there if I would craft something using some acklay bones.

Here's my question though...these bones have a higher minimum damage than a maximum....minimum is 162 maximum is 75....i think

Definatley doesn't seem right, what effect will these have on the weapon they are used in and is it an exploit to use them. If it is I really want no part of it...yeah I know...it's just the way I am.

I'm pretty sure as long as the finished weapons max is higher then the min you are alright. I recently made a set of stun batons that had a max 1 damage higher then the min. I got real luck on those. But if you're worried about it just send in a ticket and get the stats switched(I'd tell your friend to do it since they're his bones). Either way there aren't going to be any more bones dropping like that so if you feel like making a weapon that will soon be considered "pre-nerf" and maybe worth millions, go for it. If you want to play it safe dont' touch them until the stats are switched.

Very excellent advice thanks. What weapon maker wouldn't want to make a weapon of that value?LOL I guess we'll see what happens...I think i will go ahead and make it...then see what stats we end up with.

I can always get the CSR's to switch the stats...or even destroy the weapon if push comes to shove.

Not sure, the CSR's have confiscated a few weapons where the min and max where very close

One guy on my server had one built with a 400 min 200 max bone. He let used the thing until the condition was like 100/100 then he turned it in and got a fresh reversed 200 min 400 max bone back. Funny stuff
