Ive seen boss marks range from 16k to 35k, and trust me those 35k ones give a good fight. I think its just a totally random thing the game makes so not all of them have the ability to hand your buttocks to you. Makes it fair for the players who dont have uber skill enhanced adk'd armor and great guns.

Sometimes they're bugged, not just the boss marks, and they'll do like 12 damage to you hehe

I don't think the <20k health boss marks give weapon components. I've gotten plenty of them and I've only gotten wep components from the >30k health guys.

I have never gotten anything other then jars of bugs and mando interface component from boss marks... I must be really unlucky. (I have gotten tons of great loot from elite marks, just not boss marks)

Well I fought 2 boss marks so far, both gave slicing components (one a delicate trigger and the other a reactive micro plating) what was wierd was both had 16K ham and one was level 81 while the other was level 77 (got him off a 29K mission).

there is a bug where bh marks, boss or not, do not hit for more than 14 damage at a time.

this happened to me once. 35k boss mark wasn't doing any dmg to me, then when I got his health to about half way he just dissapeared. I was like 7k out on yavin too. I hate that crap.

Thats what you get for not dropping the mission when you saw it was on Yavin

Really, though, any mark can have any loot, regardless of one or two bars and CL. They all draw from the same table; the only diff would be that higher CL marks might yield an extra point or two on an SEA if they have one.

And bugged marks happen......I havent had one in a long time, though. I may be just lucky or I may be working the system....I take my missions out of Dearic, and I drop any that are on no-build worlds. Once you get your planet, move fast; at that point the system has placed your mark and is tracking its location, and the longer you wait to find it the more likely its going to wander somewhere bad and get bugged. I also make sure to launch my seeker as soon as I arrive on-world, then quickly shuttle to the closest shuttleport. It seems keeping your target tracked and quickly running him down reduces the likelihood of them bugging up.

Actually, that is not correct. Your mark isn't even in the world until you get within 108m and he actually renders. Before that, he is a waypoint only. The mark starts moving sometime after you get the message telling you what planet he is on, I haven't pinned that down yet. However, I have established that using my own ship to get to the target's planet as fast as possible and trying to get to the original waypoint as fast as possible usually leads me into a situation where the mark warps a couple thousand meters. However, if I hang out at the starport, launch a seeker in Identify mode, then launce one in Seeker mode, the mark gets his butt moving and then I can properly intercept him. The only time I've had bugged marks is when I've rushed to get to them as fast as possible.

have you ever looted wep components from any other markbesides thehigh health boss marks? I haven't and I've done tons of missions. Everything else seems to drop regardless of the type of mark (sea's, bh schems, other crap).

When I said he spawns, I meant that the game determines his location and begins to move it along its path. If anyone was at his location they wouldnt see him, but he exists within the game. Before you get your Arakyd's recon, he's just a mission in your datapad.

Ive had a few cases(2 or 3) where the target will warp a few km after I've begun tracking with my seeker, but its rare, and it hasnt ever led to a bugged mission for me before. Sometimes the mark moves, sometimes they'll stay in one place for a while, it varies, but the only times I've gotten bugged is when the mark is in very rough terrain, when he ends up in water, and when he ends up in a player city where the buildings muck things up. Besides, you want to get to the good part ASAP, dont you? Using a Seeker for IDing an NPC mark seems a little redundant....

Basically all marks start at one of a certain set of WPs, and from that WP will try to reach an NPC city, supposedly trying to reach a starport to get offworld. If they get that far, you can get cases where you have to launch another Arakyd and start over. By getting to your mark as fast as you can, you can try and head them off from passing through any NPC cities, bodies of water, etc.between their spawn and the starport
