eg. What was your template?

mm/mbh/mcarbs,rest in medic at mo

What did you like about it?

currently everything,is my template on live so is a big boost, but only time well tell

What else did you wish you had?

more reason to change wepons, none at minute

Your favorite specials.

full auto area(carbineer) nice in pve not sure on pvp yet

crippleshot(carbineer) nice pvp

chargeshotcarbineer) nice both

supression fire carbineer) not sure yet

duelist stance(bh) dont seem to notice differnce, but others are

critical shot(bh)good damage

sparyshot(bh)not sure

underhandshot(bh)same as chargeshot

confusionshot(bh)not sure how this is supposed to be with states as can dizzy people now but they can still get up

thers a few more shots i aint listed but, currently it's had to have a fight then look back at combat log as it does not show it like old system ie-you use critical shot on player x for x amount of damage(if theres a way to change this can someone tell me)

Your favorite weapon.

proton carbine at mbh cert,no point using any other than your master lvl wepons at the min

advanced scatter ,same as above

sniper rifle,or ld-1 ,seem better wepons as rifles than the llc

Which is better?

for me the carbine,as am a carbineer at heart ,but well have to see where they come from first

Offense template, defense template,

seems a good alround template, can hold my own in pvp(lot better than old),duels can hold my own ,and usualy win(apart from those pesky riflemen)

and i aint seen a jedi yet as am on tc-ep3,

accuracy template, speed template etc., etc.
well edit later to add these

What was your template?

  • Master Bounty Hunter (with Master Marksman) / Pistoleer 0432 / Carbineer 0400 / Rifleman 4000

What did you like about it?

  • Full Stat recovery

  • Intimidation Shot from Pistoleer

  • KD and Roots

  • Accuracy > 300 with all weapons

  • Defenses >180 with all weapons

  • Ranged Effectiveness at ALL distances!

What else did you wish you had?

  • Right now, I wish I was not getting screwed on the health. I am only getting 2,750 with a Combat Rating of 77. This is being driven by the MAster Marksman box (+25 accuracy) and not mastering a second profession.

  • I don't think this is an appropreate rating as I am PURE combat and that is what the Health is suppose to be based on.

  • And, quite frankly, on paper this template is just as effective (if not more) then any other Duel Mastery

Your favorite specials.

  • Critical Shot (for the damage)

  • Underhand (for the Knockdown)

  • Confusion Shot (for the Stats)

  • Torse Shot (for the bleed)

  • Intimidation Shot (reduces the targets damage output)

  • CripplingShot (for the "Root")

  • Duelist Stance (assuming they fix it for the extra defenses)

Your favorite weapon.

  • Proton Carbine! Has the highest DPS at the moment (needs to stay this way!).

  • I also love the Sniper Rifle and the Master Level Scatter Pistol

Which is better? Offense template, defense template, accuracy template, speed template etc., etc.

  • I went for them all and I think I got it!

My template is a master bounty hunter/master creature handler. I find this excellent for pve situations due to the pet's strong ability to tank. I can do without armor and spam tons of specials.

Unfortunately pvp is a disaster, with people running past my pet and hitting me, taking me out fast.

My main strategy is to send in my pet and go on the defensive.

Hopefully the CU will bring new light to my template with correctness of pet specials and versatility of combat roles. I don't have enough information as it stands.

I have a novice BH on Ahazi, so far im 1-4-x-x, plus Carbs x-x-x-1.

Personally, i hope that a minimum range for Rifles is not introduced. My alt is a rifleman/ranger one of my favorite templates. But if we get a minum range, its gonna make hunting so much for difficult, as id have to kite a charging beasty to stay in range, and in a jungle full critters that want to eat me id have quite the train!!!

I started MBH/MPistols/CM 4000, and it was decent.

Then MPistols/MCM/BH 4000, it was better.

Now I'm considering MPistols/MRifles/BH 4000 or 4004.

But from what I've seen, you HAVE to have the ability to root or paralyze. So Rifles or CM is a must to have. I personally liked the CM templates, but I'm not sure yet on what I'll do. If it wasn't for the fact I've got a 527 DE-10 (Pre-CU nerf), I'd drop pistols now and go to rifles full time or carbines. Which I love the proton carbine, its nice.

lol, after several days of testing this is precisely the template I converged onto after many revisions.

Heres how I get there recently:

For example, follow me template alterations:

I started out at MBH, Pistols 0401, Carbs 4400, Rifles 4000. I found ranged intimidate from the pistols line is worth a loss in accuracy (moving from pistols 0401 to 0041 you lose 40 general ranged accuracy). But then I realized that Rifles 4000 was just giving me 45 general accuracy so I decided to keep pistols 0441 and drop rifles at a cost of 5 accuacy and loss of rifle skills.

Ok so now I have MBH, Pistols 0441, Carbs 4400, master marks, and novice rifleman. The next question is are master marksman and novice rifleman worth it? And the question really is, do I plan do use rifles? Since I only pvp Jedi I figure that carbines have sufficient max range and I dont have the skills to use rifles too effectively. So I drop rifleman. Now Master Markman it gives 25 acc and 15 speed. Master Pistoleer gives 20 acc and 10 speed AND great defenses and RECON armor certs which for some DUMB reason (read that as poor Dev planning) has the energy resists to deal with LS energy damage. So I decide to drop Master Marksman and pick up Master Pistoleer.

That puts me at my final current TC template: Marksman 0444, MBH, MP, Carbs 4400 with 4 FS points to spare.

I decided on MBH (Pre CU)

MPistoleer (Pre CU)

Carbineer 0-4-4-0 --- second line for ranged accuracy, third line for melee/ranged def mods and aoe snare

Enhanced Reflexes 0-4-0-0 (Melee Defense Line)

This gives me the following relevant skill mods before armor/clothing mods::

Carbine Accuracy +65
Carbine Defense +20
Carbine Speed +30
General Ranged Accuracy +210
General Ranged Speed +60
Melee Defense +215
Pistol Accuracy +40
Pistol Defense +50
Pistol Speed +45
Ranged Defense +210

Has anyone tested MBH/Master Commando? Seems like an interesting combo.

This is still being debated. Originally there were supposed to be minimum ranges eg. 0-35 Pistol 10-50 Carbine, 35-64 Rifle. So, once someone came too close you would have had to change weapons. Only the upper ranges have been changed and whether to increase everyone to max range or institute minimum ranges still or add heavy accuracy penalties at melee range is being considered.

As it is, Rifle + Root FTW.

Master Bounty Hunter/Master Pistoleer Destroyed a CM/Rifleman on Test center. The poison did incap me after the fact buy I was able to kill him.

I gave MBH, MP, Carbs 0440, Marks 0444 a workout tonite on Test Center and I was unbeatable. Much different than my other expereinces. I think a big factor was having the 80 combat level. Even at 78 combat level I wasnt doing as much damage to level 80 pvpers. I didnt think the 2 pnts would make a difference but for some reason it does. Also, I did try MBH, M carbs and for some reason (maybe its just me) but the MBH, MP combo works better with the carbs even though I did have the best pistol specials when I had M. Carbs. /shrug

The only issue I had was using to much action which caused some battles to drag on and on since we were both running low on action.

Hopefully I can respec to this template as on live I am MBH ranged dabbler.
