I will post more later but Id recommend trying MBH, MCommando, Smuggler 4000. I dueled someone with this template and he was hitting for over 1000 per shot with the Proton Rifle. The speed and accuracy mods are very good on that template, my template was MBH with a mix of carbs, pistols, and rifles and it wasnt even close.

i wish we had acid elemental damage back for our scatters!!!!
currently the only pistol that does acid damage is the republic blaster. i would like a little better choice of acid weapons. not to mention the scatter has been acid for over 2 years.

What was your template? Master Rifleman, Master Carbineer, BH 4-0-4-0
What did you like about it? Offense was high and fast. The capability to hit from the longest range possible while being sneaky has proven to be more amusing than should be legal. And the 60m KD didnt hurt either. Having multiple damage types, powers, and rates of fire really spiced up choosing my weapon for the situation, and I did find myself switching weapons enough that I wouldnt want to go wihout at least 3 or 4 at a time.
What else did you wish you had? Honestly I found myself wanting more than anything to have devices. With the sneakiness of rifles, and the overall versatility of the template it just seemed like I should've been able to add to that role by planting proximity explosives on peoples bikes or house doorways. Really beef up the BH experience by utilizing more than switching boomsticks to and fro. Like using a whip-cord to KD/Root the target, Or a wrist-mounted stun-dart launcher to poison their stamina so they couldnt execute specials as often.
Your favorite specials: Underhand shot...cause...duh. Though the effect could've lasted longer. I really appreciate how it transfers to rifles and not just carbines. Makes landing that 2500+ sniper shot so much easier.
Your favorite weapon: 2 actually; the Explosive Shell Sniper Rifle (cause it looks nasty and hits pretty hard) and the E11 mark2 carbine. (Same reasons)
Which is better? Offhand I would say this is definitely an offense template. I need to test it a little more but I'd say it beats the "I'll out-tank you" templates for the KD plus insane hitting power and slowing shots. I'm sure that the carbines aspect will be easiert to test once the DS's work. (get on that Tanks, my man!)
I will test a few other templates I am curious about later. More to follow.

I was a Master BH/Master Carbineer/4000 Commando. I liked the fact that I could use the dot grenades. Once again though, I dont like the fact that there is no auto-attacking without looping specials. And the specials seem to be slow. I am firing 3-5 secs each shot. I do love the accuracy and speed my template gave me as well all as all the defense I get. I tried it dueling melee and other BH's and faired well. I am assuming it will be easier against Jedi, hopefully anyway.

I like useing all my specials with any weapon.
Ihave been fighting duels and NPC's exclusively and wish thatmy recon armor did not slow me down when I equip my carbines.
Critical, Underhand, Stopping, Fatal, and PistolDefence are my favorites but my biggest problem isthat I have too many specials and not enough time to test them all.
Explosive Sniper, Photon Carb. PROTON carbine, this isnt Laser Tag, Republic Blaster, and FWG 5.
A little of both, It took a while to get a feel for the new system but after sorting out the level system it got easier.
The best template for you will now be a personal play style issue. I like that. I think I'll keep what I have on Live.

** NOTE: Seems I am the only person who is a crafter/bounty hunter. So, I thought I would post this template **
On live I am a Master Shipwright, which given the amount of time, effort, and resources it took to attain, I will NOT give it up. So, my new template will be:
Master Bounty Hunter, Master Shipwright, Rifleman 1/0/0/3, Marksman 4/0/0/4, Scout 4/0/0/0, Artisan 4/0/0/0
That would make me a combat level of 59. My goal is play solo and take part in the odd guild raid, etc.
I tested this template out on TC today, complete with a full set of Rebel Assault Armor and using an LD-1 Rifle, and I wasn't able to kill anything near my own combat level. Granted that I've only ever played a Rifleman/Scout on live, I am still capable of making use of my specials. Even still, I could not kill anything near my level (59), regardless of what I tried. I was fighting Imperial NPCs on Rori.
So, I would say that there needs to be an increase in Bounty Hunter PvE deffence, so that the world will still have a few crafters like me around. There is no way I am giving up my Force Sensitive Master Shipwright character just to be able to solo creatures of my own level. I don't care if these creatures are challenging, but I would like to actually be able to survive on my own!
Defence seems to work OK on lowwer level mobs, but it's not wonderful. Level 35+ gives me trouble and also gives me 1 XP per kill - wee friggin hee.

personally Im just dissapointed eyeshot is no longer the best special in the game..
Otherwise brief pistol/BH testin worked well, favorite special was stopping shot of course. Damage was a little weak, but Im sure that will be different when using weapons not got off the frogs.
I'm hoping this is the case as well. Hopefully all mygood pistols will make up for the lack of super high damage.

I am testing MBH/MP/SL0404
With a pistol in my hand, the offense and defense stats on the character sheet look like this;
Offense: Speed 120, Accuracy 230
Defense Melee 270, Ranged 285
Those are pretty impressive defenses. If you can make a pistol template with high melee and ranged defense, let me know please. (send a PM)
I chose to go with Pistols for a practical reason; I spent alot of money on my 607 ADK'd DE10 and I want to keep using it. I sliced it myself, and got really lucky, so I am kind of attached.
The reason for going MBH for me is hunting Jedi. To do that, I wanted maximum defense. MBH is supposed to be able to tank, so I decided to check it out.
SL is really useful on this template. The few SL group specials can come in really handy, but big defensive numbers are where it shines. While wearing Assault armor from BH, in Duelist Stance, I am a really tough nut to crack.
I like the root attacks obviously, but I wouldnt be very irritated if they were taken out altogether. It takes the joy out of old school kiting.
In general I think that this template will be a good group leader for a Jedi hunting group. It is very defensive, has good specials, has some useful SL skills, and can dish some decent damage.
I also do alot of PVE. I like the variety of weapon types I can pull off with this template.
Comments and criticism would be appreciated.

Is this right? Even though MP gives you the full certification for Recon Armor, it's dependent on the weapon you have equipped?

Well atm im MBH, Master Carbs/ Pistoleer 0/0/4/4. I think this temp rocks against jedi. The only downfall is the range, especially if the jedi has saber throw. The combo i use atm is stopping shot>Charge Shot>Eye Shot, then keep hitting with Advanced critical or other high damaging special. The jedi usually fall pretty fast. If they are master healer or master defender its gonna be a little tough. But dont forget to use line of sight to your advantage, it helps tremendously.

No, look at BH. Three weapons to weild, no hinderances to any. I could hold a pistol as a master carbineer and be wearing Battle armor, with no hinderance.
