If you go 0/1/0/3 Pistol, you get an additional +10 gen ranged accuracy, too, if you have enough it clothing/attachments to lose the +10 healing efficiency from the 0/0/2/0 medic. Just another option for some of the rich ones with the +25 attachments

Using the formula in the medic forumla you get the following expected heals from Bacta Shot: HE stands for healing effeciency
Prof | HE | Damage Healed (avg)
Medic 0000 | 5 | 272
Medic 0010 | 10 | 484
Medic 0020 | 15 | 635
Medic 0020 + 5 HE | 20 | 752
Medic 0020 + 10 HE | 25 | 847
Medic 0020 + 15 HE | 30 | 928
Medic 0020 + 20 HE | 35 | 998
Medic 0020 + 25 HE | 40 | 1060
These results are accurate from my own testing. Heres is the formula for bacta shot I used from MataHairy's post in the medic forum: 523.8*ln(0.168*(5 + HE)) where ln is the natural log.
A droid with 110 Medical Rating adds +441 to every heal (according to MataHairy's post on the medic forum)
Point is, if you are just Novice Medic your healing efficiency will be 30 with +25 from tapes. thus you wil be healing for 928. Is that extra 130 pts of damage worth 10 pts of ranged accuracy? \shrug
Also, note that if you eat Citros Snow Cake your healing effiency increases by +40! Thus a Medic 0020 + 25 HE from tapes will have a total HE of 80 which (if the forumla is still valid) should yield 1393 damage healed. Notice how non-linear the forumla is, our HE doubled but we only increased our heal by 40% (from 1060 to 1393). Also note that Citros Coke Cake has a high filling and only lasts 2 and a half minutes (i think).

I was looking at ways to add healing to my template. I was actually considering something like this. I also have HE tapes that are very high to stack with any BE clothing I may get. If I swap to this template I will only have to give up 40 accuracy. That will drop me to 320 and I think I can survive with that.
It will be nice having a heal in between my stims. Now just have to do some testing.
BTW this is such a minor change to my template it I love it. I already have a butt load of capped healing xp. And I have a ton of pistol xp if I want to swap back. Now to contact my buddy who makes droids.

Don't forget that the max skill modifiers for healing effeciency is +25. That includes a combination of BE clothes and skill tapes. Its been reported the the character screen will show that you have more than +25 in mods but only the first 25 actually are applied.

FS combat skills can be easily obtained by AA and CAs that run around 50k to 200k a peice (at least on my server). I'd trade +12 gen ranged accuarcy or +12 ranged speed for heals any day. Once you reach around 140 speed you start to hit diminising returns. Also, with accuracy, it should be so high that +12 makes little difference.
Are you sure about those diminishing return numbers? I have 350 carbine accuracy right now with just a +25 AA in my helmet. Is it going to be a big loss to lose 52 general ranged accuracy couning FS ranged accuracy?

Regarding accuracy, AFAIK, what really matters is your accuracy vs. your target defenses. The greater disparity between your accuracy and your targets defenses, the closer to the min damage output of your weapon you will be hitting with. So you want accuracy.
My point was from FS skills I just see +12 ranged accuarcy to be had (am I missing something here?). When you have over 300 ranged accuracy to begin with, +12 is not much of game breaker considering you are getting 5 sec heals in return.

I thought that the BE clothes and the skill tapes would both apply. I could be wrong. That discussion I thought was talking about multiple peices of BE clothing with +healing eff. clothing that went over +25 total would only add up to +25 even if they were +17 & +18.
Also, don't forget to add the cybernetic rez arm with it's +15 healing eff, too.

never mind...did some searching and it looks like everything that i've found says that it's a +25 cap on mods for healing eff. no matter the source. (i.e. BE clothes, attachments, etc...)

Bacta toss enhancers are currently useless. Publish 19 introduced a new auto target feature where the game would /target your attacker if he hit you. As you currently need to target yourself to use a bacta toss enhancer, this makes it impossible to use one effectively in combat.
I tried the following macro:
/target self
/ui action toolbarSlotXX (the bacta toss enhancer)
/tar (markname here)
this is what happens in combat:
- you target yourself
- your mark hits you
- you auto target your mark
- your bacta toss fails with the error 'invalid target'
- you die because you can't heal yourself in time
- your mark laughs at you for being a noob
A workaround isnot using bacta toss enhancers as you do not need to target yourself to do an unenhanced toss. This means you can only heal for 700 with bacta toss instead of the 1k+ from the enhancer

Or if you have CM 4000 then use the advanced bacta spray that doesn't require a target, plus it doesnt make you stop running to do it.

Well I want to keep my Master Carbineer. Can I be just as effective with MBH/MC/Pistols x/x/x/3 and Medic x/x/2/x with +25 healing attachement and be just as effective as a Master Rifleman. What do you guys think?
