Thread: Same Faction Hunting is Now Required if you want to complete your mission

Well what a suprise , jedi using exploits. Is not as if they have tough defences as it is when meleeing a ranged BH


I mean allyou see on a jedi forum, is a jedi whining about actual specials that MsBHs have.

Yes we or rather may be im whining as well, the difference is jedi usingexploits which is ILLEGAL

There is a difference between

Allowable Specials and deliberate EXPLOITS.

As for running to a house for a cover, i think the following should happen

1) MBHs during a hunt should be allowed to enter ALL houses and ALL building

2) if jedi deliberately log off during a duel to get out of dieing they should be automatically penalised for exploiting ie loss of XP or if all ready masters loss of abilities or something.

3) Any jedi using a known exploit should be deducted XP.


Im personally not aware of MBH exploits,

A) Because i have been playing another online game since March

B) Going by the extent of exploits listed on these forums used by trainee jedi, (i doubt masters will use themsince they dont need to). Im surprised jedi arent being penalised by Gms


And yes Lysanda wll be back in a galaxy near u well Farstar anyway.

-- shame level of jedi is not listed (hmm looks like oh another Master defender again)

(Anyone scribing an Annuals of Jedi and Ranks as i will be doing on Farstar, i cant seeranks changing too quickly lol)


A final note to all would be Bhs, what ever template u choose when hunting Jed, 3 things are important when solo

1) Surprise

2) U need to cause more damage then they can heal

3) Reduce or negate their movement

I get a kick out of posts like this. First of all what makes them a coward? Maybe they just have nothing to prove by fighting you. I mean think about it, what do they have to gain by killing you? Secondly, as I mentioned before, people have the right to play this game any way they choose to. If they want to flash their saber in public and get on the terminals they have that right to do so. No? This does not mean they have to fight the BH that comes for them and this does not make them a coward. Its a game remember!!!





You can go back to your own forum now. Point is that they can RUN get on a bike, high tail it, scream like a little girl while doing it, beg, ect ect ect ect to avoid the fight... they HOWEVER should not be allowed to enter ANY building while TEFFED! Got it yet? Its a exploit. Even FP bases.. And this whole well its a game crud you are spewing is correct ITS A GAME in which Jedi get on the terms, BH hunt them, and there are rules or machanics that should work. Part of PLAYING a GAME is to WIN isn't it? Or are you someone that plays monopoly and gives your self interest free loans when some one is not looking?

If u are jedi knight i doubt u will need to run into a base, its a no brainer

ie

Jedi Knight loses no xp where as apprentices do

You hit the nail on the head. As an Imperial I've always hunted rebs since the terminal change that allowed us to see faction. However, I'm now forced to hunt same faction to eliminate their ability to use a bug to their advantage.

jedi knights do lose xp.. i am a knight, pre-pub 9 jedi.. if i chose not to engage the bh who comes after me that is my call not his.. so if i decide to not fight then i cloak and walk away.. and if a jedi does that to me, then i just walk away as well.. not a big deal to me..

i disagree here.. you are not forced to hunt same faction.. you just have to accept some people will run into bases and not take it personally.. they might be full templete jedi, they might not.. they may not want to fight then.. you might have first strike.. but you dont have final say on if they fight or not.. that is up to them.. and as players we should respect that..


there are times i chose not to fight and it has nothing to do with xp loss or the bh, i just might not be in the mood to deal with it.. so i cloak and walk away.. then log on my main and go back to the thing i was enjoying with my jedi but now will do with my mbh..

A Jedi will always lose xp if killed by a bh that has his mission. Its just that a finished template Jedi has less to worry about when losing xp unless they plan on changing their template.

Yes i know about the cloaker device , pain in the neck when used with force move - but as i said regarding exploits - Thats a special not an Exploit .


But the run to a little house on the prairie and close the door is a bit cheaky, since when in the Starwars realm has Bounty hunters been stopped by a shut door. An impregnable fortress yes , a little house on the prairie, no lol


Lets hope there is a decloaker device in the future thats all i can say ! or even a force drainer device would be nice


and as i said u need to to catch your intended victim off guard generally , badly wounded in a duel whatever - sad but true

Wow! Maybe you are one of those persons who takes a game way too serious. First of all you assume I am a Jedi and not a BH. When you assume you are sometimes wrong. Secondly, that is real mature of you to say "scream like a little girl while doing it, beg, ect ect ect ect to avoid the fight..." Real mature buddy!!! I find that a little offensive as I am female but I will take it from where its coming from. You just proved what kind of person you are. Also, have you seen the other posts in this thread? Please prove to me it is an exploit. Finally, yes I do play to win but as in real life, you can't win them all.You need to know how to loose before you can ever be a winner and by the way you wrote your post it seems like you don't know how to lose. It is people like you that give certain professions a bad rap. This thread had mainly mature posts and everyone had some very intelligent and meaningful things to say now you come and do this. I think what we have here isnot really a difference of opinion, but a different interpretation of how the game works. I respect that you believe that going into a base is not an exploit, I just dont agree with it. I would assume that if you thought going into a base was an exploit we would both probably agree that a Jedi should not do it, yes?


I have always respected the Jedi's choice to fight or flee. I have never bad mouthed a player for running for his life. However, I do havea problem with a player that uses an exploit to do anything. In my opinion, anyone who takes the time to use an exploit to their advantage is taking the game WAY to seriously.

Its possible that he may have actually done the research and read this post by you.






I was wondering a few things and would love if some of you couls give you opinions. I enjoy playing a support role in pvp and currently am master enhancer for that reason. If i were to go to a template such as LS 0404, Master Enh., Heal 4100 and Defender 0440 would I have a severe problem with BH/CM because of the lack of MLS? I know there is no way they would defeat me as MEnh. because my ability to escape but it gets old running all the time when im in trouble. I would like to atleast stay and try and win.


Some people say that you need MLS to beat them, is this true. If so I could always go with MLS, Enh. 3402, Heal 4000 and Def 0440. But this would not be that much of a support role. I would wind up being a damage dealer since I do have a 700 max dam saber. What are some of the opinions on this matter? Thanks in advance!!!

So before you assume he's assuming (that sounds pretty funny saying that ) best check to see if you've implicated yourself first hehe.


I agree that he should not have made reference to screaming like a girl.


I believe I've made a strong arguement that entering the base while teffed is an exploit.

1) No reference is made to Private structures. Thus its assumed to be any structure a player can place, as not all player buildings have privacy options.

2) CSR's are currently REMOVING Jedi who enter thebase with a bhtef. In my experience its about a 50% chanceyou'll get one to come in gameand take action, which is pretty good odds all things considered.

if it proven by a dev or tanks that this is a exploit, then i would support having it removed asap.. but till then it is not one.. i guess we can only hope that the devs would make this clear somewhere.. but i am sure it is low on their list of things to address.. till then i just dont get worked up over it..


but yeah i can see us seeing eye to eye on a lot of things regarding jedi and bh in the game..just not this one topic..lol
