Thread: A quick note on term changes...

there is no way you would ever get the ability to eject people from private structures. (even we have to take bathroom breaks)the good news is if they step out, even for an instant you can tef them, and once you have made your intent known, regardless of whether they fight or flee, they cannot reenter a structure until the tef timer is up.Message Edited by Quiet420 on 07-06-2005 12:25 AM
NOT true...a Jedi MUST attack a BH in order to gain a TEF. This is why the "peace macros" were so popular Pre-CU.

The Jedi you are hunting will be basking in a magical beam of yellow light when you see him. (This is also called a mission waypoint)

So .. How exactly are you supposed to know who you're looking for?
Ah, so they're enabling droids on Kash then? I musta missed that comment...

Oh, in the case of Kashyyk you will be endowed with the magical button of tab-targetting. When you press the magical button of tab-targetting when your target is near, your attention will be diverted to your target.
Ah... you mean the tab that will target each of the 17 wookies in the scrum at the foot of the bridge BEFORE targetting the force-witch?

Now if they can ensure that AFK Jedi inside of private structures load onto radar, are tab-targettable, and combat can initiate once the attack button is pressed, ejecting the Jedi out of the structure, then I will endorse these anonymized missions with open arms.
you don't need to be online to "burn vis"
-Sioned- wrote:
if a jedi wants to burn vis she/he could still go onboard a multiplayership and float up there.

What people NEED to understand it that the Devs are trying to "justify" this whole change by CREATING the problem they CLAIM to be fixing.
No, they ARE fixing something. The so-called combat upgrade through things totally out of whack as far as sologrinding.
If the Devs don't like the whole "grieving" of Padawans....all they have to do is change the "group vis". Then IF a Padawan does get on the BH terminals...they derserve to be hunted.
I totally agree with you here. The devs changed the game (CU) to promote group play (after all it's an MMO).A few tweaks on how group vis works would have straightened things out a bit.
Someone wants to say I take it personal...how could we NOT?! I hunt Jedi solo at LEAST 98% of the time (no exaggeration, for every 100 Jedi missions I take, 98 of them are done solo).
Low level Paddy hunting? Not accusing you of anything, just curious because this is generally more the rule than the exception.
The Devs want Groups for:
Grinding
The Corvette
The DWB
The Avatar
Pretty much all content
EXCEPT for BHs. I have no problem being a solo BH as I have done so for so long. However, I DO feel the BH profession is being ostracized for "doing what it takes" to perform the task our profession is "set up" to do.
Of course you ran around in hunting groups. That's how you leveled up all your weapons and combat xp. The only thing you had to solo was Investigations. And since you've just stated that you solo hunt '98%' of your marks, you shouldn't have too much problem also having to go solo.
The Jedi vs. BH is NOT 1 vs. 1...so why are the Devs setting the system to do JUST that? FRS hasn't even been brought into the equation, and the Devs expect us to take that on? Actually, I don't think they do...I think they are acutely aware that we (as MBHs) stand no chance against MOST fully templated Jedi, let alone a Jedi Guardian.
I can see your point in this.
The Devs WANT us to lose....make no mistake.
Please. You already state you solo hunt 98% of your marks. I can only assume that is because you win against most of those marks. I don't see how the patch affects you then. Unless you accidently get the mark of a full-template Jedi. But remember, all you have to do is cancel the mission and get another mark.

not gonna happen, posting about it over and over again ain't gonna help. why don't you go ahead and ask for a special that disconnects them and leaves their character prone with 1 hp and 0 force?

Wouldn't it have been better to adjust group visibility? Then BH and Jedi could all be happy. It just seems to me that every publish that goes live SOE cuts off thier nose to spite thier face. All I see this doing is creating an even bigger rift between the Jedi and BH players.
